My favorite solo artists at the moment are Lady Gaga, Siobhan Donaghy, Mel C, Tom Jones, Seal and Shaggy.
My old favorites are Britney, Christina Agulera, Micheal Jackson, Madonna, Gareth Gates and Dido, I still like them, just don't listen to them as much.
I used to hate Justin Timbalake, but I like him now. XD

Here's just my opinions on the artists people have mentioned so far:
Lady Gaga- Haven't heard much of her stuff but from what I have heard it's alright.
Christina Auguleria- She's great. I have her second album (Stripped), and that was a pretty good one. Her newer stuff is good too.
Micheal Jackson- Classic. Just classic.
Madonna- I mostly like her older stuff.
Gareth Gates- Never heard of him.
Dido- Pretty good, but I haven't listened to her in a long time.
Justin Timberlake- When he was in N*SYNC, he was honestly the best singer out of all of them. He deserved to go solo. I have his first album and it's pretty good. And plus... He brought 'Sexy back' XD
Amanda Palmer- Never heard of her.
Rihanna- She's good.
Kanye West- Never really listened to his stuff.
Lily Allen- Never heard of her.
Mylo- Never heard of him/her.
P!ink- I like her as well. I agree that her older stuff wasn't as good (It seemed to be R&B/Hip Hop), and with her newer stuff is better. I think Pop/Rock suits her better.

She's the former lead singer of The Dresden Dolls, who is currently doing solo work (though the Dolls aren't really broken up per se--they do plan on getting back together someday, by all accounts).
Also, John Linnell's solo album (State Songs) is amazing oh God I want to bang him so hard
