Considering where I live (Southeastern US), country music is pretty popular around here. When I was younger, that's all my parents listened to. As I got older, I don't really like it as much. I like most of the late 80s-early 90s singers like George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Alan Jackson, etc. The new stuff isn't as good.

Seconded on all points :jake: (I did make a country music topic before. It's on the 5th page).
Other bands / singers i like are Alabama, Clint Black, Shania Twain, Highway 101, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (i met them in 1996), Martina McBride, and Restless Heart.

Glen Campbell is really good, but my favourite has to be John Denver with "Take me Home, Country Roads".

Either that or Islands in the Stream, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

I used to like Johnny Cash, and to some extent I still do (Boy Named Sue LOL) but I've heard Ring of Fire and Walk the Line tooo many times.

(Oh, and INB4 Taylor Swift)

Agree. On the radio, there's a song Called "Suds In the Bucket" (by Sara Evans) It is now my currently favorite song.
Also, "Forever and Ever, Amen" or "Ocean Front Property are good ol' ones.
