I have to say, my favourite Classical pieces are Canon, and Gymnopedie No.1

As for more modern, Orchestral pieces. Some video games have such moving compositions!
Like this one from Fire Emblem Awakening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QddANRRM4K4

The most beautiful song I know is "I'm not down" by The Clash, followed by "Heroes" by David Bowie, Elise Deauxnim's theme and "The ghost in you" by Siouxsie and the Banshees. Come to think of it, "Morning has broken" is quite beautiful as well, even though it's not a song I actively listen to.

Ah, I just listed classical music... But I have to agree with you there - I'm not down and Morning has broken are very, very beautiful indeed. I should make a list with non-classical music too...

Hear it, an instrumental song by Keith Richards and Brian Jones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsvN10fL-yk After half a minute or so it just becomes pure magic.

This amazing "instrumental" I heard.
Remember, listen all the way to the end! Nah, JK
In all honesty, this song moves me in how it made a name for itself, and got a few people rolled along the way. It just amazes me that such a simple song could inspire an entire internet community to take it and run off with it and then roll it in glitter and throw it in people's faces. That IS amazing to me, and call me childish if you want, but I like this song for it's pure beauty.

Is this against the rules...? :sahwit: eheh

This piano cover of Bitter taste of Truth

"Breaking hands" by The Gun club is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. The whole atmosphere is so dreamy and the instruments sound amazing. Also, it reminds me somewhat of Siouxsie and the Banshees' "The ghost in you" which is another beautiful song.

Camille Saint-Saëns "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" is an amazing piece, and I love to play Maurice Ravel's "Pavane for a Dead Princess"!

"Monitor" from Virtue's last reward. There's such a white and pure feeling to it, listening to it it feels more like I'm feeling the song inside of my mind than hearing it with my ears. And when the song really kicks in it feels like my entire mind is expanding and flowing. It's a great song.

Have to say, I really like that description of it. (And the song itself.) :maya:

I was gonna say some Undertale themes but to be honest, they're all beautiful.

Wanna know a REALLY beautiful one though?
Blue Bird Lamentation from Virtue's Last Reward.

Yes, Blue Bird Lamentation is beautiful as well... I like Biotope. It gives me a feeling of serenity.

Continuing on that subject, "Digital root" is quite serene and beautiful too. And "Morphogenetic but that might be mostly its context.

I've got to add "A cornered heart" from GS6. Incestigation ~ Core Abroad has some very beautiful moments in it as well.

In the Hall of the Mountain King is an underrated but commonly used piece.

I tend to avoid soft, calm music. Because tranquility is the opposite of my natural emotional state, basically. And sometimes it even annoys me.

But "The Heart Asks for Pleasure First", by Michael Nyman, is a beautiful piano piece. I really love it.

Recently, I've grown rather fond of Tchaikovsky's first symphony, also known as "Winter Dreams." When it comes to emotion in music, it's hard to beat Tchaikovsky.

Camille Saint-Saens - The Swan

Kate Bush - And Dream of Sheep

Two sweet lullaby-esque songs. Great for drifting away into the Land of Nod.

I'm a sucker for the classical music. That's because I'm always stunned and allured by its divine beauty. Yes, I still listen to classical music, even though not on a daily basis. It's one of those genres that you sometimes try, like turkey. You don't eat turkey on a daily basis, do you?

I love the Beethoven and all, the Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Joplin, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, but what I have here is a very happy song. I'm just listening to the Chopsticks Waltz song, and then YouTube automatically played this song: Heart and Soul. Personally, I loved it. Ever since I met this song, I couldn't stop listening to it. it's just too beautiful.

But that's because I'm vegetarian.

I still do love that classical music though. Like it or not,we've all heard the classics. We just don't remember them. The music that plays when you're parking your vehicle? That's a Beethoven piece. That background music on a generic movie? Swan Lake. You get the gist.

Finished Remember11 today and it might be because I loved the visual novel so much, but damn, some of its songs are so good it almost hurts.

https://youtu.be/NA6pdRzXnv0
"Scheme [letter I don't have on my keyboard]", specifically the part between 1:15 and 1:42. There's a version of this that plays quite often but without that part, so this one feels kind of special and for some reason it touches my heart (and I associate it with a character that does, too)
https://youtu.be/5V2V_H8LzME
"Mantra". I'm not much for the chanting in the beginning, but after that it gradually turns into magic.
https://youtu.be/lkVlK_75NgI
"Will theme".

And one from Ghost trick for good measure.
https://youtu.be/46BnSHyW7ow
Honestly I don't remember this one from the game (what a shame, and it's even one of my favourite games with one of my favourite soundtracks), but... wow.

In all honesty, it's an amazing piece, but hot damn if it's ZTD remix doesn't blow it off the park.

I agree the remix is great, although I still prefer VLR's version. It feels cleaner and a little more eery.

Yeah, maybe. I just have a little biased towards it just because of dem strings. Oh, and the violin. It sounds so, dare I say it, epic.

It's actually funny that you say that, since that's my favourite 999 theme XD It sounds like an AA Logic & Trick theme (and is even used in a similar context in the game itself!). There's a similar track in VLR too- Clarification. They both have their moments. Digital Root sounds grander and gets super intense, whereas Clarification is quieter, calmer and more serene. They both have their high points, but I can't pick a favourite between the two.

They also both have great remixes as well. :-P

Digital root is one of my favourites in... VLR x) When it played it was so perfect. Maybe that moment
Spoiler: VLR
when Akane talks to Phi and Sigma
would have been even more eoic if I had played 999 before it, but hearing that song for the first time at that moment was great.
