In regards to Rei's name, remember that they can easily change Cykes's lines to match with whatever they decide Rei's localised name to be, as a lot of lines are changed in localisation as are jokes and such.
As for Chishio's first name, I'm partial to Taylor myself.
As for Blackquill's nicknames, since Blackquill's sort of steeped in Japanese culture I think they'll localise him a bit. It's possible they could change his "noble samurai" motif to a "knight" motif, maybe turning his nicknames (Naru no Ji, Tsuki no Ji etc.) into perhaps Sir Justice, Sir Wright, Lady Cykes etc.
I think we'll have to wait and see what they decided to do with him.
I think 'bengoshi-kun' (that's how Fulbright addresses the Agency lawyers) might be turned into Mr./Ms. Attorney.

Since Athena gets angry at times, she'll have to use mild cussing.
Spoiler: Athena
She did once say "Dammit!" during Ted Tonate's first cross-examination.
Or maybe she'll do it in German, something like "Verdammt! We were so close!" Speaking of the nicknames that Blackquill gives to the agency, I'm going with yours: Lady Cykes, Sir Justice, and Lord Wright. (Yes, I changed it to "Lord" Wright.)

Keep her as English as possible I say. Los Geht's is enough german for her, and I wish she'd been half-spanish instead. Dunno it just seem to fit her attitude more somehow even if this is generalizing.

So the names for the yokai and the other creatures of Case 2 are going to be direct translations. I'm basing this off the fact that names such as Tenma Taro and Kyubi Manor basically remained the same. Wonder if Great Kyuubi is going to be just localized as the Great Nine-Tails, since Kyubi Village got localized as Nine-Tails Vale.

Also, a higher quality version of the screenshot shown before (nothing new so Chishio is still "Newman"): http://images.wikia.com/aceattorney/images/b/b1/Newman_Screenshot.PNG

It's not common to spell Japanese like that with material aimed at a (relatively) general public though. For a public with minimal knowledge of Japanese, longated vowels don't really matter and therefore you seldom see it in 'general' texts. The most common work on yokai in English also spells it yokai, so that adds to recognition of the term.

(And phonetic would actually be closer to something like yookai. What you're looking for is wordprocessing romanization (which is what I usually use too by the way). Yōkai (or yôkai; õ isn't never used for romanizing Japanese) is what you'd expect to see in texts that are either more aimed at a less general public (academic texts etc., texts on linguistics etc.))

You could also think of "yo-kai" as the characters in the english version being ignorant or unknowing of Japanese cultural stuff so they pronounce it in a westernized accent. I'm overall pretty bummed that case 2 has so many direct translations (I loved Burgers=Noodles ^^) but I guess it was inevitable.

Me too.. why WOULDN'T they localize it.. it would be disrepectful to Japan culture,
and imagine this scenario

Player: What is Nurarihyon?
*looks up*
Player: Ohh.. he is part of something called.. Hyakki Yakō.
Player: I wonder what that is..

I was put off by it at first, but then again, I had never heard of this Youkai. It would be quite an ordeal to go through to find a clever way to localize it and in the end it's alright we have a case that just feels Japanese for once. It's not like that's unrealistic, in fact it's rather like they've been avoiding Japanese themes for a while in the western releases.

I'm interested by how there could have been absences of Japanese themes in any of the games.

In the Japanese version, the names of the students are all first names, even though given names are usually the surnames. In the English version, they're usually last names, aside from certain exceptions. O'Conner is usually a last name, so I don't think it can be properly compared to his first name. Nice name choice given his character, though.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure O'Connor is his last name. I was just saying that they seemed to have incorporated part of the name pun from his first name into his last name in localization.

I very much like Aaron O'Connor and Grant L'Belle, and I would actually not be surprised if either of those turned out to be the real names (though it's still very unlikely, of course). The others fit well too, but there are plenty of possibilities for Newman (still can't say that without thinking of Seinfeld) so it's hard to say, and the only reason I'm iffy about Justin is that it seems like a "younger" name. For Means, I was thinking "Byron Means," as in, "by any means necessary," but that's still a stretch.

She does, but only in the demo which they've been reusing for a while now. It's possible that they made her French in the full version because of her title in the trailer, and because she calls Apollo as Monsieur Justice.

Also aside from her new title in the trailer, she also said "Monsieur Justice!" to Apollo in some of the Trailer footage at the end.
