I have two other birds but they don't like to be held, so this is really crazy to have a bird that wants to cling onto you all day long!

You do realize you must now train that bird to attack others on your command, to retrieve you stuff and send things to others, constantly have your back to others, and you must now officially have one of its feathers in your mouth at all times, right?

Can do!

I saw a joke in which it was said that this audio clip of Simon shouting 'SILENCE!' made a person's phone stop ringing. Coincidences like that sure are fun.

No one's commented here in a bit, but I read the whole thread and the best (in my opinion) Blackquill moment hasn't been mentioned yet. His sarcasm owns:

Spoiler: Case 4
When The Judge believed the claim that director Cosmos was dead and Blackquill replied:

"Director Cosmos is an authentic, bone fide ghost. He can even pass through walls."

I actually did a double take, it was glorious.

Most likely due to shock or stress. That or he's lying about his age. Or trying to look like Black Jack. All good theories.

Image Blackquill's hair when he was Youngquill was pitch-black, so he couldn't have faked his age. He must have dyed it. And no, I didn't use the "Silence!" bubble. The Japanese one was cooler.

I forgot about that part! Heh, that was so great. I was thinking we'd see more of his "psychological manipulation" stuff, but it really only popped up a few times, didn't it?

And yeah, Youngquill is pretty legit. He was probably an Edgeworth-tier ladies man back in the day, what with being so dreamy and having that samurai honor swag going for him.

But seriously he was probably immensely traumatised when his mentor was killed and spent 7 years thinking a little girl was the killer.

I've also got good vibes about Debeste, but I doubt he will beat Simon.

Spoiler: Blackquill in general
If you'll allow me to butt in again--I believe I read somewhere that the marks under Blackquill's eyes are from crying when he was in prison. If that information is true, I would say it is from shock or stress. I mean, it's far less likely in my opinion that Blackquill was trying to try a mysterious-looking hair job. But hey, I've seen stranger happen in this series.

Yeah, Yumihiko has TWO fan localized last names: Debest, like previously mentioned, and Furst, as in, Furst place, derp.

My initial reaction to Blackquill was on the "meh" side - I originally thought I'd have the same problem with him that I had with Lang in Investigations (that being that I thought he was forcefully tried to be made as cool as possible - mind you, that's personal opinion on my side) but as the game went on I came to enjoy him more and more. His "screw this, I'm out of here, taking a walk with Fulbright!" moment in case 3 was one of my personal fave comedic moments in the game.

However, my absolute favorite thing about him is probably the animation where he scritches Taka's head and his reaction to it. Makes me go D'AAAAAW everytime I see it.
Taka's expression when Blackquill slams the table is pretty hilarious too. Guess I like that bird a lot too, haha. :maggey:
