When my brother was playing Dual Destinies, he found Athena's shocked face to be ugly. What face do YOU think is the ugliest? Mine is Means's smile. It creeps me out and is just plain ugly. |

Means was a scary character in general. Anyway, I always hated Apollo's shocked face. It just looked so weird. It wasn't as bad as in DD but still. |

A lot of Athena's grossed me out. I can't find them but her "shocked" and that cocky smile where she crosses her arms pissed me off. While investigating, I hated the ones where she stroked her hair, got really angry, or began to cry. Also, her "peace" sign. The only one I really liked was when she started to cry tears of happiness near the end |

Means' smiles was delightfully creepy, especially when he's saying something about the dark age of the law. I thought Phoenix's leaning over/shocked sprite that appears for a second was creepy; whenever they try to remove someone's pupils in DD high quality it has the potential to look creepy. They did it fine with Edgeworth though... I actually liked Athena's angry sprite but some of the other ones are a bit weird... |

I don't know why, but I simply couldn't stand Apollo's more normal, relaxed co-court pose. I always thought he looked way to buff, and I kept thinking of this picture: Spoiler: Other than that, I hated Athena's peace animation and the Phantom's mask thing in general. |

Athena's "shocked" sprite always struck me as looking extremely awkward. I'd say the "Ugliest" one goes to Constance Courte to be honest. Her face looks like it was drawn by whoever did the art for AAI. It's too long and her face proportions just look off somehow. Just ugly. As for Prof. Means, I hated the "smile" thing mainly because it instantly struck me as "New character design with Brushel's smile unfittingly plastered on" End quote.

My second ugliest face is L'Belle's breakdown face. It is ugly in... well he looks like an ugly and creepy old man. But I think they took it too far on Apollo's face. Phoenix made an okay change from 2D to 3D sprites, and Apollo made a horrible change. His sprites look so awkward and hard to look at. Also, if you remove the pupils in the first image, colorize it red and add proper lighting, it becomes nightmare-inducing creepy. Like this. Spoiler: |

The first time I saw Constance Courte I thought she was suspicious. Her face looks so... smug. I'm surprised Filch hasn't been mentioned yet (though he was supposed to look like a peasant anyway probably), he looks like a creepypasta Spongebob (I swear there were holes in his face or something). All his animations were always really annoying and he really struck me as the character that never bathed. |

Not ugly, but Apollo's smiling animation looks weird. His smile is seriously too wide. It looks mischievous enough, but it's just too wide and it looks unnatural. |

The second and the third ones are too cartoony for me (yeah, complaining about that in an AA game. I know). I can't really pinpoint it, but I just think they're...gross And I couldn't find a proper picture of the third one. That doesn't bother me. I "stumbled" over last friday's DLC for PLvsPWAA which showed some sketches of Maya and a few comments from Kazuya Nuri who said that he'd often correct the animators at Bones when the character didn't look right. My guess is that Apollo here, in DD looks so ugly because Takuro Fuse didn't keep Bones in check. It's probably why Phoenix also looks funky at times. Either way, those pictures of Apollo are not so bad because they're just keyframes in a longer animation and are seen for under a second. But this one... is inexcusable:
