Assuming you live with your parents. Roommates or friends count too.

(about Case 2-2)
Me: MOOOOM! The court won't acquit my client due to possession!
My mom: .... That's nice, Katie.

(regarding Edgeworth. This is coming from my dad the lawyer.)
Me: Should a man know this color exists?
My dad: No.
Me: And see? He wears an automatic choking device.
My dad: Either they wear that in fancy British court rooms... or this game is fucked in the head.

The reason I said roommate. My roommate is from Taiwan (I go to boarding school) and I lent her the game. I dunno what she said because it was in Mandarin but she sounded pretty confused.

My parents are sort of vaguely interested, and they like the idea, but mostly they just nod and smile serenely when I rant about how much I hate Matt at this moment, or how mentally scarring Armstrong is and how he should have his own warning on the box.

my parents think this game is brainwashing me. when they hear me say objection, or use a "table hit" or "pointing" gesture, they always ask me, "so what the hell is with that game?"

My Mum finds my gay lawyers somewhat interesting, but she only hears about them on the phone.

XD My mom's just sick of me and my sisters talking about it nonstop!
My uncle (who's a lawyer) refuses to look at it since he's convinced it's going to be all wrong. I haven't talked to my lawyer cousin yet, though...

Holy smokes, I just realized I let this response sit for about half an hour XD

I fail to see how (humorously) sharing your frustration with whoever's in the room is really that childish. Just a bit of fun, surely?

my mum once said 'Oh, did Phoenix get Matt Engarde the Not Guilty Verdict and release Maya from Shelly De Killer? Oh, and did Adrian Andrews reveal the secrets of her past?' I must have talked about it that much,

My parents don't talk about PW... My mom is too busy trying to figure out Tomb Raider (first game she would actually play willingly) and my dad is still trying to get another 300 in Wii sports bowling.

Don't overdo it, if they don't want to, don't force them, they will just think that you're addicted to videogames.

My Dad helped me bring Manfred von Karma to justice! I don't have the Internet at his house, and I'd forgotten what the Judge said about ballistics. So I asked my dad to help and he said ballistics could tell if he was lying! See, he used to be a newspaper reporter (now he's an editor) and during that time he covered the courts for 7 years. He also knows about bullets and stuff. I owe my 'Not Guilty' to him! ^_^

He also said it was the coolest game he's ever heard of and wishes I could play it on the TV.

My dad (a defense lawyer) enjoys the fantastical spin they put on it. And he's happy it made my brother want to be a lawyer. He's since brought us to court many times to show us an actual case.

The two aren't that into the whole thing since I never really actually talk about specific things to them. They aren't technical-term savvy so even if I did explain neither would understand.

In general though, they are fascinated with certain things I'm doing if they randomly see me playing video games.

My mom hates PW so much. She hates its guts. The reason she hates is so much is becasue all me and my sis do while together is rant on and on and on and on about PW this, PW that. She's sick and tired of it all. But then why did she get us the 3rd game for X-mas...? :eh?:

My parents think it's amusing XD They're used to me (and my brother) buying RPGs, Fighting games, Strategy games and God games, so when we came home with a game about lawyers they sniggered. Now that we're fully obsessed in the series, they find it utterly hilarious xD

This is a conversation I had with my father a few months ago.

Me: Ah! But I can't wait! Phoenix Wright 3 is coming out soon!
Dad: So what's this game about?
Me: Well, basically, you're a lawyer and you have to solve cases and stuff... its more fun than it sounds.
Dad: I don't know that I approve of that game.
Me: ??????
Dad: Lawyers are the scum of the earth.
Me: Well, it's not like real lawyers... I mean, you only fight for people that are innocent...most of the time...
Dad: *mumbles of disapproval*
Me: So the shooting games are all good now that I'm older, but pretending to be a lawyer to save innocent people's lives is a no-no?
Dad: ...
Me: ...The prosecutor is really hot. :edgy:
Dad: Oh, that explains it.

Yeah, my dad's an odd one. No, I don't just play PW for hot lawyers, but it makes my dad feel better if he thinks that's the case, for whatever reason ^-^;;

My non-PW-addict friends find it massively annoying that my addicted friends and I can hold an entire shipping debate without speaking a word of intelligible speach.

Me, AcroH8r and Tifa: Can you believe what Godot did? No way! But Feenie and Iris are meant to be together...

Prometheus: WILL YOU SHUT UP ABOUT THAT LAWYER GAME!?

Me: Not until you submit to the power of Godot.

Due to my fangirliness, I've converted 4 of the skeptics to PW-addiction. Two guys, two girls.

Lucky. I get slapped in the face for stuff like that.
I don't talk about things like that, because something will lead to a debate with my mom and I.
And then I'll use a "Phoenix Fatality" (see: Crushing Argument). Then she gets pissed and grounds me. I have more psyche locks from not openeing up than a DS could potentially show. And the chain is wrapped in barbed wire.

I told my dad I'd let him play it once, he asked if I thought he'd like it, and I said "Maybe", and then he said "Who knows?" Sadly, though, I didn't get a DS Lite for Christmas and he needs something to play it on... I guess my sister will just have to let him use hers (she barely ever plays it anyway, and I'm currently busy with Hotel Dusk). If he gets to T&T, though, I bet he'll have some sort of hilarious reaction to seeing Armstrong. Same with Daian, after I get and beat AJ. Same with my mom, if I can get her to play it, too (which I plan to... she should have her own DS, though; she did get two of the Brain games for herself). XD

My sister, when I showed her Daian's safe sprites, went "O_o Well then!" XD And somehow she seemed to think it was weird that I said Godot is hot when I showed her his official art ("The coffee guy? O.o")... probably just because she hasn't actually played against him in the game yet; I didn't see what was so cool about him myself until I played T&T and saw him in the game.

My father once saw me carrying around my DS Lite and was rather amazed that it could say "Objection"... amazed enough he had to tell one of his co-workers. I told him if he was that pleased, I could show him that it could also say "Hold it" and "Take that."

Hmm... seems like I'm of the lucky ones... my parents bought me this game for birthday, they used to play the old adventure games of LucasArts and Sierra in the 80's and 90's. It wasn't hard to get them into it. (They haven't finished 1-5 yet :karma: )
