Regardless of whether you consider them canon or not, the game itself clarifies their relationship as canon. Therefore they are canon.

You are missing WHY he wanted to mentor her, which was a clear and obvious attraction to her. Which, yeah, manifested itself in being an asshole for like half of the case, but that is different from any other mentor/student relationship in the games. It was pretty obvious, to me at any rate, that Kaminogi purposely filled in Grossberg's shoes for the purpose of scoring with Mia.

I don't know what she said. I just based my opinion off of the case summaries, which i'm sure isn't the same as playing the game itself, but from the stuff I read I don't really see much of a relationship.

Yeah, she's 17/18/19 in the games, but she's just such a kid. Even Phoenix remarks at one point that Pearl's smarter than her. She's cute, but I can't see her in a relationship with anyone. Am I the only one who sees something like this happening?

Why just take out Phoenix, put Edgey in his place and you'd basically have the same thing, if not an annoyed Edgey at the end. D=

I think just about any pairing in PW is considered a crack pairing. Difference is which ones you think are fun crack, and which ones make you Head Bang .

Ultimately I don't really care what pairings someone does/doesn't like. It's cool to find out that someone smokes the same kind of crack as me, but it's not like I look at everyone who's sworn off drugs and go ".. the hell is wrong with them?" Because if I hadn't started, I'd probably think the same thing. Larry

1: Kaminogi took Grossberg's place as co-council to work with Mia becuse he had a crush on her in the first place.

And after his resurection he devotes his life to takeing down Nick for not being able to save Mia. She was his motive for becomeing a DA and in the end not telling Nick that Maya was in danger in 3-4 becuse he had to save Mia's sister himself.


3: Cannon means it's part of the real storyline. It just is.

4: You dont have to have a happy end (or be happy at all) to be a couple. The fact they both meet a sad end dosent negate the relationship they DID have when they were alive.

"Cannon" means a mounted gun for firing heavy objects.

"Canon" is a body of work which is considered authentic or standard.

Know the difference! It could save your life.

It's not a love story, but that doesn't mean "love" doesn't play a big part of the games. In GS3 especially, there isn't a single case that doesn't revolve around (or at least is propelled by) a romantic relationship. I'm not sure romance is PW's strong suit but it is an important element.

So saying "you shouldn't write pairings that aren't canon" is kind of like saying, "you shouldn't write anything that wouldn't happen in canon." Which is pretty much also saying you shouldn't write fanfiction at all.

Which is a perfectly acceptable position to take, but it doesn't help the discussion in this thread any. Yanni Yogi

Phoenix and Edgeworth.. I despise that pairing with a passion, but I best not get into details before I end up getting myself killed.

Personally, I think Edgeworth would be best off a single person. Yah sure, I made an OC just to pair him up, but I really don't even think she belongs to him. She basically just a "Ha! In-your-dreams,-Paige! NYAAA~" character I made up.

anyhoo, back to subject.

Basically, I don't like any of the Yaoi/Yuri pairings. I apologize if I offend anyone, but that's just me.

SL-9 has given me a big dislike for :edgy: + :lana: and :lana: + :jake:

Before anybody says "but she helped him get though his brother's death!" remember she covered up his brother's murder after assuming her sister killed him by accident and then used it to frame Joe Darke. At best any kindness to him would be comforting Jake out of guilt but then Lana dosent really feel guilt for anything she doses. Everything is all Gant's fualt becuse she just follows orders.

Ah sorry I forgot to add my reasons agenst :lana: + :edgy:

On the surface they have a friendly working relationship but since she was made chief prosecutor, Lana has used Edgeworth for setting-up trails and letting him take all the blame whenever the office had trouble. She let Edgeworth be the office scapegoat the whole time and it ruined his career in the end.
