I always imagined Klavier's voice being deeper with a stronger german accent then what is actually portrayed when you hear his voice in AA5. My brain also refuses to accept what he actually sounds like, so it's always jarring for me when you hear him talk in the game.

I think for Klavier, if he is supposed to have a strong german accent, is get an actual german person or at least somebody who can pronounce german perfectly to voice him. Hey wait, I have a really deep voice and I speak English and German perfectly. They should've hired me!

Yeah, I was disappointed that they didn't hire someone who could do a german accent/is fluent in German. It's not even that hard to find people that can pull off the accent, it's a major one. As much as I love the anime cutscenes, watching the one with Klavier was disappointing because of his very plain american accent :/

Ha, they should've!

Actually, I never pictured Klavier with much of an accent. I always saw it as him putting up a bit of an accent now and then, mixed with some German words, for the sake of his image, to be the "cool, European rockstar", I somewhat pictured him with an ordinary American accent.

You don't want a regular, ordinary American accent saying German words. It sounds fucking terrible.

You know, on the subject of accents, look to the Punch-Out Wii game. Each character was voiced by a native speaker of their language, which resulted in them becoming really believable.

Fulbright: Pyrohnn's voice (or however you spell it.) from Kid Icarus Uprising.
Phineas Filch: The Terra Firmie King's voice from Duck Tales. Don't ask why.
Florence L'Belle: The Joker's voice, but slightly more flamboyant, especially when he dyes his hair green near the end of the case.
Juniper Woods: A quite, elegant british accent, mostly due to the fact that I find her uniform in 5-3 to look like a Hogwart's uniform.
Damian Tenma: Patrick Warburton's voice.

Oh wow. I thought I was the only person that did this. Haha I always read giving the character voices, it is just so much fun. xD

I am terrible at my accents so when it comes to doing Klavier and Kristophs voice I just sound like I am from a made up foreign country....then I give up and just do it without the accent. But don't mean to brag, but in my range of terrible voices I feel I capture gumshoe perfectly. :D

Oh, god, I'm so thankful I'm not the only one who gives ridiculous voices.

:phoenix: My normal voice, except when he panicks, then it turns into an complete mess of sounds who don't form words.
:edgeworth: My best British accent, imagine a British officer in the war with all the shouting, that's how I voice him.
:apollo: Irish accent, no idea why. However, everytime he panicks the voice is bloody hilarious.
:meekins: Quick talking, british accent, ending in sir, sah!
:basil: Robots FTW.

Everyone else is either read normally, or with an accent that I can't describe, like Larry, Gumshoe, Klavier and so on.

Hugh O'Connor: Travis Touchdown's voice from No More Heroes. Don't ask why.
Winston Payne: A high pitched, screechy voice, like his objection.
Gaspen Payne: A high pitched, nasally voice.
Dee Vasquez: A Russian accent. Her voice is supposed to be deep, since she uses the male beeping sounds when she talks, and Russians generally have deep voices, so I guess that's why.
Sal Manella: Comic Book Guy's voice from The Simpson's.
Detective Badd: A deep, gruff voice.
Damon Gant: Hades' voice from Kid Icarus Uprising. I didn't play Rise From The Ashes until after I played KIU, so that's why.

It's a tad bit annoying that
Spoiler: DLC
just because of the way they wrote Marlon's pirate-talk after his transformation, I could only "hear" it as Scottish, which felt a little awkward. But on the other hand, a rapping Scottish pirate would be quite great.

Godot: Patrick Warburton's voice.
Simon Blackquill: A very deep, baritone voice, like Quan Chi from Mortal Kombat 9.
Wesley Stickler: A higher pitched, effeminate british accent.
Ponco: Monita's voice from Nintendo Land. I think they look very similar.
Clonco: Wall-E's voice.
Aura Blackquill: Jessie's voice from the Pokemon anime.

Maya? BRITISH? What is wrong with you?

:phoenix: - A little bit deep , I can't say how I read it... But I try to do this as same as his OBJECTION. It's HARD.

:edgeworth: - BRITISH, but an easy accent.

:maya: - Fangirl voice, enthusiasm one.
I gotta admit that if my voice were a little bit higher, I bet I could sound just like her.
And of course, kinda childish.
But again, it can be mature when needed.
I'm gonna record my voice and try to put it with Maya's animations... and put it on YouTube. I will post it here.

:phoenix: Believe it or not his voice in AA5 is exactly how I envisioned in previous games.
:edgeworth: Now his in AA5 was not what I envisioned, but recently I got an idea for his voice after seeing clips of a young Sam Waterston (Jack McCoy from Law and Order) in the 1984 movie The Killing Fields that only gets deeper as he gets older.
:udgey: His voice in AA5 only a little bit deeper
:maya: I'm thinking a mix between Pan from Dragonball GT and Yukiko from Persona 4
:pearl: A young Dakota Fanning
:youngmia: A cross between Angie Harmon and Android 18 from Dragonball Z

:phoenix: I always thought he'd have a slightly higher pitched voice than he did in AA5
:edgeworth: I always thought he would have a more Germanic accent, since he spent a good chunk of his life IN Germany.
:udgey: I always thought he would have a deep empowering voice, one that commands authority.
:apollo: I always thought Apollo's voice was more down to earth, more prone to monotonous due to him trying to be a more serious character with someone like Trucy as a legal assistant.
:maya: I'm not really sure how to put how I picture her voice, more soft and squeaky, with a teasing tone almost always there.
:pearl: Kinda like Maya's only a LOT more younger sounding, and with less big words.
:klavier: Klavier...oh Klavier what did they DO to you? I personally think he should have an almost fake German accent, like he has in AJ.
:youngmia: I always thought Mia would have a more soothing and relaxed voice than Maya, a bit louder due to her being a lawyer, but she doesn't really HAVE to raise her voice to be heard.
:scientific: Ah Ema, tied for first with Favorite Assistant along with Trucy. I always thought she would have an excited voice, who tends to talk to fast for her own good, but when she's older, she sounds a lot meaner and more mellowed, talking slower than she normally would.

When was it mentioned that Edgey spent lots of his life in Germany? Granted, he was raised by Karma, but that doesn't mean he remained in Germany. Yes, he spent time in Germany, but that doesn't mean he'd have a German accent. I mean, I live in Germany and my English does not have a German accent in it.
Only seems like it when I switch to German words, which I pronounce German.

Anyway, with my LP, the voices... kinda... yeah...

:udgey: ...think a little of Tristan in the Abridged YuGiOh, but without the higher pitch
:phoenix: / :edgeworth: both actually have my rather normal voice, since they talk a lot I don't want to voice them a lot with a voice that would hurt me, and my voice is pretty deep...
:maya: Higher pitch, kind a goof-head one
:larry: ...I have no idea what I did with his voice. All I know is, I hate it and it might be an attempt to sound like Krillin from TeamFourStar's Dragonball Z Abridged
:karma: Deep, grouffy, throat voice. Veeeery painful... I had to take a break mid-recording cause it hurt...
:eh?: Deeper voice, a bit excited at times
:mia: A "deep" voice for a woman and rather soothing, I might try to go higher for her younger version...
:redd: an excited, fast-talking voice
:payne: ...I think the attempt was for Gilbert Gottfried

And preview-planned voices for JFA.

:maggey: An overall normal voice, but tends to go a higher pitch or starts whispering, counting her failures...
:pearl: Either I'll do a "mysterious" voice or go a high pitch
:hotti: ....a pervy voice. Probably with lots of slobbering put into his lines...
:franny: Similar to Mia, only more haughty and maybe a bit higher

:hotti: : A lower pitched, simpleton type voice.
:wellington: : A stereotypical snobbish Harvard type voice.

My brothers have a toy airplane (no, a real one, duh) and when pushing the button there's a voice saying "Let's go! I thought it was the boys that said "Let's go! Ahaha!", I actually had to go back and check again. I wasn't completely sure what the airplane had to do with anything, I figured they only said the line that way while playing with the airplane... or something of the sorts.
