Well, I never did that and I'd never do that.

Oh, good! I was almost getting a bit worried, heh

I don't do that either. They wouldn't understand what I was on about anyway, and most likely find me obnoxious. And honestly, I wold find myself obnoxious too.

My mom questioned why i would buy Dual Destinies when it's rated M, this was around my birthday last year when i was actually allowed to buy it.
You know because she assumed that since it was Mrated it would have extreme violence or something like that.
I had to explain to her that nit was because of one scene in the game and if it wasn't for that it would have been T like the rest.

Hmm...I've never shouted Objection or pointed my finger. I did raise my voice though when doing it. It was for a school project sophomore year in which we held a trial for some literature character, and my teacher wanted it to be almost like a real trial. So I looked up when I could object (speculation, badgering the witness, irrelevant, etc.) so I wasn't just saying it randomly. But I was getting frustrated with the prosecution. They kept manipulating the witnesses into saying what they wanted them to say. That's some Miles Edgeworth BS right there  :nick:

And my client was found GUILTY. My mom said I shouldn't be a lawyer, or at least not a defense attorney. I agreed with her.

Whenever I turn corners, I yell "Objection!". One time my dad heard me and told me "The court will not hear the defense's objection!". That time was really great.

Harsh. But at least you are on the right side. I could understand a visit to the principal's office, but suspension?! What kind of school do you go to?

Not sure how this is a parental response, but either way... That is not at all a normal way to behave to a teacher, no matter how faulty the thing was that they said. If you don't agree with a teacher, there are more reasonable and civilized ways of pointing that out and discussing it. In fact, I kind of fear for you if you thought that was okay and worth it.

In his defense, a suspension is pretty harsh for just yelling something that isn't vulgar at a teacher (unless there is more to the story than merely yelling). In my book that at most warrants a referral to the principal's office.

Textconversation between me and my mum:
"All good? Lots of lectures? Hugs"
"Sure, no, Hugs"
"Ace going well? ;)"
"Yup :)"
"Good to have on your CV ;D"
"Of course ;)"
Points to her for switching the topic from school to AA. Also, when I told her a few days ago I was playing the newest AA game, her response was "Oh!!? :D Fun!"

Aaaawww, she can be so cute! :edgey: Of course you'll have it on your CV, preferably with some kind of pun to it. (Another thing you should have on your CV, that you're an ace punster, but I digress.)

Or rather, mum makes another AA-reference.
Me: We're gonna have a roleplay [in the law system-part of the course I'm taking.
Mum: Then you're gonna be him... what's his name, him. You know who I mean.
Me: Yeah. Him.
Mum: It lacked a bit of its effect when I didn't even know his name.
Sister: Who are you talking about?
Me: Him.
(Which apparently was a sufficient answer)
I'd like to roleplay as a prosecutor to make up for 8th grade. We were gonna have a courtroom roleplay when we learned about the Swedish court system, and I was gonna be the prosecution. I wasn't sure about their roles in court but I was happy about it anyway because I thought the word "prosecutor", or rather the Swedish word for it, sounded so powerful and intriguing. But for some reason the roleplaying never happen (that was intentional).

I showed it to my Mom and she didn't really care. I then showed to my Dad and he wanted to see the whole first case of the first game. I showed the whole thing and he thought it looked stupid. I also converted my friend Ethan. I showed him one of the cases and a week later he bought the HD Trilogy.

My mom thinks the game is too easy and boring, but it is probably because she only played the first case from AA1.

My mom's just going with it, tries to talk about it with me, even if she doesn't get it.

Mom: So this is Ace?
Me: No, his name is Phoenix.
Mom: But it's called Ace Attorney.
Me: That's just how good of a lawyer he is. So he works with this girl Maya-
Mom: Isn't Maya dead?
Me: No, Mia is dead! You're a lawyer, and you solve cases-
Mom: He's a prosecutor-
Me: NO! Phoenix is a defense attorney. Edgeworth is the prosecutor.
Mom: ... Who's Edgeworth again?
Me: :headbang:

My dad, on the other hand, is telling a lot more lawyer jokes.

Reminds me that last time I was there I had my new wallet, with the Ace Attorney logo on it, I showed it to WG and my mum asked me to show it to her as well. When I did she took one glance at it and smiled in a way that seemed to say "should've seen that coming".

Update: When I came home for Easter with my Phoenix plushie in tow, my mom actually started calling him Phoenix. However, when I pointed out that she actually got his name right, she went straight back to Ace. Here's what went down:

Me: So which of the boys (What she calls my plushies) do you want to ride in the cupholder with you? (She finds them adorable and likes to have one in the front seat cupholder with her, while I occupy the back seat with the majority of the crap I take home for the holidays.)
Mom: Which one wants to ride in the front?
Me: Hmm... I'm not sure. I don't think Phoenix has been up front yet.
Mom: Yeah... I don't think Phoenix has been up here yet.
Me: *Stays quiet, thinking she's going to "correct" herself* Okay then, Phoenix it is.

*A few hours later, after crossing the second state line*

Mom: Phoenix wants to go back there with you.
Me: .... You called him Phoenix. THANK YOU, YOU CALLED HIM PHOENIX.
Mom: Oh, did? I meant Ace.
Me: OH MY GOD, MOM. HIS NAME IS PHOENIX.
Mom: Ace is his nickname!
Me: :yani-fist:

Ever since I mentioned Ace Attorney to my dad, he shouts "Objection!" every time someone mentions lawyers (he may have remembered it because while I play the game, I was use the voice recognition system when presenting evidence). It's made weirder by the fact that English isn't the language we talk to each other in every day.

I started playing the series back when I lived with my parents (I mean, I first picked up the game about 11/12 years ago at this point), my mum loved it, was more into it than I was at the start. Then she got another job and gave it up. Played AAI2 the other day and sent her a screenshot, and gathered when I was on the phone the other day that she still remembers pretty much all of the main characters from the original trilogy.

Good news for me, because I tried talking to my boyfriend about it and the guy couldn't care less
I'm confident in my hairstyle today.

My six year old brother, who doesn't know English, started up case 3-2 when fiddling with my 3DS, but to nobody's surprise he found it boring. Later on either him or the other six year old brother went through the last cross-examination of 5-DLC, but I don't think he said anything about it.

It's an angry pirate, a spikey-haired dude and a lady with bright yellow clothes and a floating screen. Doesn't really sound like something that would faze a six-year-old, now that I think about it.
