Haha, you really wouldn't like it then. Though I'm surprised you watched the executions seeing as how they give all the killers away

Really though, Zero Escape is x10000 better

DR has its charms in its weird adherence to character tropes. The characters are presented in very stereotypical ways, but as you learn more about them... you learn that they're creepier, eviler, or even weirder than they came off as. Dang teenagers.

It's all about parodying Japan's stiff representation of the best of the best students and the ridiculous level of competition for those titles. And so when you put a lot of stars in one room together, especially teens, there's bound to be drama. It also has a talking stuffed bear who is evil incarnate and pits everyone against each other in a killing competition to see who gets to be the last one standing. And he can eat meat. And has the strength of an actual bear. And once cosplayed as Phoenix (sort of, he got the suit).

But I agree that the ZE games (at least the first two) come together better overall. ZTE is all over the place, though.

GfM, I feel your pain. I haven't had an AA dream in a while.

But I am happy to announce that I've started sharing our dream adventures on my blog and people seem to be enjoying them. In particular, I introduced to them the Church of Edgeworthism and I have successfully converted a few new followers to our faith. Praise be to Holy Gregory and Son! Huzzah!
Help! My parents are Phoenix Wright & Miles Edgeworth! Er, I mean they're irresponsible drunks!

It's okay, Brami. Careers come and go as people do, unless it is the career itself that inspires. What truly matters is that you never forget the things that matter most to you.

Or to us of the Church of Edgeworthism. May the light of truth shine upon us all and our respective futures. Amen. :edgey:

Rubia: ZTD (I always accidentally call it STD) all over the place, yeah... in every way. Still liked it though.
Casually doing the lord's work, I see. :D

Brami: Urgh, I feel ya.
Part of me feels obligated to school because it's all I'm good at, while part of me feels I'm not wired for school considering the pit of agony it sends me into. -.-

Anyway. May the blessings be upon us all. :edgey: And shot shot shot shotshot~

Welp, finally I do have some semblance of an AA dream. Apparently Apollo had Clay's jacket on again, but this time he was just fine as usual; just wanted to dress up, I guess. And he was investigating some case in Alcatraz? And something or other about Viridian Green, from DGS1-4 and 2-2. Apparently she was a murder victim.

I think Subby is confusing the timelines now.

Poor Viridian can't catch a break.

I dreamed something about Phoenix. I don't think he was wearing clothes ._. Thanks subby, that's just what I needed for my dreams to make a comeback. We'll see what tonight brings. Hopefully a fully clothed Phoenix.

*soaks the confetti with the wine I was supposed to give Mom but he was being annoying so I didn't* Let not this sacrifice be for naught!

But I had another AA-inclusive mixed MMORPG dream. One of the quests involved helping Phoenix rescuse Trucy from a shadow organization rumored to be mass-producing monsters. I don't know what class I was playing, but I just beat everything up with kung fu 'cause that's how I roll.

There were back-to-back boss battles against themed-enemies a la Megaman. One was called "Malala Fey", an Indian-based sorceress that dressed in purple (apparently had no relation to Maya's clan), another big green robot that looked like Sigma, another hulk-like monster that looked like a bloated balloon puppet, another that looked like a frozen Titan from the Disney Hercules movie...

Phoenix stupidly kept on running straight into the fray and I had to save him on multiple occasions. Fortunately, I must have been over-leveled because all the bosses were swept aside.

Suddenly, Hulk Hogan(?) showed up to yell at Phoenix to motivate him to stay strong, but it clashed with the ghostly image of Godot blaming Phoenix for being weak. I yelled at him to stop moping. He still has me around.

It turned out Dr. Wiley and someone named "Phantom Mask" were behind the kidnapping and the monster production. I beat them up both at once and saved the day. Yes, we even ended with a confetti shower as Trucy popped out from her imprisonment inside one of Wiley's robots.

But I don't remember what I got for the quest rewards. Pro bono, I guess? Nah, I think it was just for Trucy, my darling sis. And my dad, I guess.

Oh, sorry. I meant Sigma from the Megaman series. It's funny to imagine ZE Sigma as a robot... well, um, in the style of Megaman.

Leave him alone, Godot. We have to yell at him in encouragement, like how Hulk Hogan did.

The new concept art for the next game is already looking bright...and angular X3

I had a dream that all of us were wearing Bramimond-style hoods #squad. And something about Apollo, probably the new 3DS version of his game. Still bitter that we don't get a physical copy, but those HD sprites are looking fine too bad Apollo's face isn't angular

Is Yamazaki back from his break yet? Honestly, I'm curious to see what Dir. Fuse can do with the scenario. He helped out quite a bit with SoJ.

And since Eshiro helped push DGS2 out the door, I think Takumi may be freed up for the start of a new main series title, maybe?

Well, I had one AA dream and then a long-running non-AA one with loads of references. Why not count the ways?

  • Another case where Phoenix goes against Payne; the trial is swept aside so easily that I don't remember what happened
  • I defended my mother and brother (the real ones, but imagining Edgeworth buying me and Apollo ice cream is so sweet) from false accusations of getting "too much" ice cream; it was a community food court that served as a courtroom; it reminded me of my love of Ace Attorney
  • A magician's guild's uniform includes a thin blue veil with constellations; reminds me of Lamiroir; wait, is she hiding among them?
  • A governess is sick of her government when it doesn't respond to back-to-back natural disasters, a massive hurricane and ensuing floods; made me think of Rayfa (well, this is kinda a jump, but between the fury of the royal court and of the Defiant Dragons, to be caught up in it at the center is pretty bad)

Also, rescuers were riding Sharpedo during the flood.

How is too much ice cream a crime? Unless they think you're trying to give your kid diabetes, or maybe the ice cream has liquor in it.

Haha. Nah, that won't happen... because Eshiro's the one who's gonna be locking them up. >:3

But srsly, the last time Takumi and Yamazaki worked on a game together was GS4. It's been a while and both men are pretty much always overworked from their projects. Let Yamazaki take a bit longer of a break and come back when he's ready. In fact, I wouldn't mind Takumi taking a break either, just so we can see who else on the team can lead and what comes of it. Their team is a lot bigger than it started off with, after all.

No, people were reacting and shaming me for having three extra scoops of ice cream. I just wanted to try out different flavors and toppings together. :/

...Lately, I've been eating a lot of popsicles. I hope Subby isn't trying to low-key shame me either.

*knocks on wood too* I probably don't have much to fear from hurricanes, but earthquakes are a real problem here in CA...

That said, the last few times I've sat through earthquakes, they've all either been really small quakes or small aftershocks from earthquakes farther away. I really just get a little shaking, about as much I'd get on a roller coaster.

I've experienced exactly one earthquake. I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt pretty much as if someone would shake the bed, and I was like "what the heck? is the wind outside so strong the house is shaking or what?". I read about it in the newspaper the day after. Someone's outdoor furniture had toppled over on their lawn, it was crazy.

Goddammit Eshiro.

Yeah, both men deserve as much time off as they can get, just to keep their minds fresh.

Now that is just mean. People need to learn to live a little.

Huh, that sounds really weird to have the ground just suddenly move from beneath you. We see hurricanes all the time though. I was out of school for two days this week due to this recent storm, but it wasn't nearly as bad as when it hit Texas.

This dream must have been a prophecy, because I ordered a new hoodie today.

Victorian era university. Phoenix got trapped in a staircase. Miles was suspended for smuggling wine into the lecture (because of fucking course he did). Diego and Sherlock were having a nice smoke in the courtyard with questionable substances. Maya running around with a graduation cap screaming, "DONE WITH MY FOUR YEARS, BITCHES." I don't know what this all has to do with the Victorian era, but I want to go to this school now.

Phoenix is Harry Potter confirmed.

Dammit, Drunkworth.

I mean I can understand Sherlock smoking (he did so quite a lot in the books) but Diego? I mean, I can see him getting high, but more on caffeine than on weed or whatever.

I mean, good on Maya for graduating. Wonder if she majored in parapsychology

Yeah, I want in too. Don't care that I don't need to

This is awesome, all of it. Drunkworth will be Drunkworth... and the other people's actions also feel because of course they did to me :godot:

He also did cocaine and morphine :D and opiates, and alcohol, and whatever else was popular at the time.
Diego is such a chill guy, I'm sure Sherlock would have no problem getting him to take part in his paraphernalia.

Now that I've moved to an area where trains are passing by every several hours per day, I have become too accustomed to the ground shaking. At this rate, I won't be able to tell if we're having another earthquake.

I heard about the one that hit Texas, whew. It was a good 20 inches of rain or so. In a single day.

This honestly explains why he keeps disappearing from my dreams or suddenly appearing from nowhere. The only thing that is left unexplained is how he managed to remove that scar.

With the Dhaf Lads and Sherlock and Apollo and Klavier, I think I'm starting to confuse who is in whose band. Or are they all in one band?

Ah... Maya got caught up in another incident and got arrested again. But this trial was strange. It was like I was playing a word game trying to match up various pieces of this case based on the words. "Maya", "African macaw", and "awl" were all relevant somehow. And midway through, Phoenix had to borrow my phone from me to look up words in a dictionary. In a way, it felt like we were conducting a trial based on madlibs.

Had another dream involving Asougi last night. This time, it took place right after
Spoiler: DGS 1 and 2
he supposedly dies
L (from Death Note) came and swapped Asougi and Ryuunosukes' brains, making
Spoiler: DGS 1 and 2
Ryuunosuke the "dead" one instead.
Asougi just continued living in his friend's body and was totally cool with it. And no one else thought it was weird.

Normally I'd be concerned, given Asougi's mission in England, but this ties in perfectly with that one DGS dream I had where Asougi stole Phoenix from Ryu and ran away.

Bad dream. Bad, bad dream. :dahlia:
I got blackmailed by someone holding my sister against me, just like Nahyuta and Rayfa. I thought of that in the dream itself. Someone, I think I had spoken with him briefly on some website but he was all but a stranger, sent me an e-mail demanding me to... I don't even remember, I don't remembered exactly in the dream either, "if you don't want anything happening to [sister's name]". The fact that he knew her name especially terrified me. The whole atmosphere was so weird and creepy. I didn't want to tell anyone because they would probably suggest we go to the authorities with the matter, and I didn't want to risk anything. Whatever the demands were I could live with them, it just took a toll on me mentally. I was happy to wake up from that.

Indeed. Apollo "Bringer of" Justice - helping them brothers with them sisters out.

Edit: Tonight... Polecat. It was connected to him doing drag. He might even have met the winner of RuPaul's drag race season eight. Werk, Poley :3 He also said he probably doesn't have a lot of testosterone.

It was revealed that in 3-5 Elise was only killed because of a 500K bounty on her somehow set up by Morgan. When Phoenix found this out, he commented to himself that even he would've killed her for the money.

I was watching this with a friend. I didn't really mind for some reason, but they didn't even get what he was referencing, which I was really annoyed about.

So yeah. I dunno what's the worst part about this dream, honestly.

Damn Morgan. >:( And, to a lesser extent, damnit Phoenix.

I dreamed I was playing AAI2 and the case I was playing had a ridicilous amount of characters. Lady after lady after lady after lady entered the scene. One of them, a rather gloomy middle aged woman, made me scream because she startled me by suddenly appearing on the screen, and I remembered there was something rather unnerving about her.
