And Snow, that fanfic is awesome. I've only read 2 chapters, but I've gotten really into it! But there is a mistake... Kristoph's eight years older than Klavier, if I'm not mistaken, so Klavier's two years too old in the fanfic.
I'll read the other one once I finish this one...
EDIT: Finished it - it was so good! Highly recommended
(though I'm not sure if I'm a good judge of these things, I was never much of a fanfic *ahem* fan)

I've managed to convince myself that the scar that I have on my left hand is totally like Kristoph's even though it isn't.
I have this Halloween thing called "Collodium". When you put some of it on your skin, it sucks the skin all up and makes huge scars. I'm gonna walk in class some time with a skull scar on my hand.

I did that. It took a lot of moving my hand but then I deluded myself into thinking I had a scar like Kristoph. I felt pathetic. XD

I don't think they're exactly the same and I don't think it's a replacement thing. There's definitely enough differences not to cry 'bad writing'. But they are very much comparable.
As for DahliaxKristoph, that'd be one hell of a domestic dispute.
