Didn't know whether a thread like this was made or not-- if it gets locked, it gets locked. *shrugs*

I was just wondering why people hated 4-3 so much?

Spoiler:
Probably one of the only reasons I can think of was how much "The Guitar's Serenade" and "Guilty Love" was freakishly overplayed?

Creepy LeTouse death???

I think Icarus summed it up pretty well.

My personal reason:

Spoiler: THIS FUCKING ARORGANT DOUCHEBAG OF A KILLER
:pencileraser:
I couldn't stand Dayran.

But that's just me. Plus it was boring and pretty obvious who the killer was.

I liked the case ^^
I liked Machi, and Lamiroir.
I like the guitar serenade too, it was just being played a bit to much..
But i still like the song.
Indeed, Letouse was a bit stupid i think. Lying there..
'The witness is the siren'
He was there for a pretty long time, no? Then maybe, just maybe, that guy had enough power to get his cellphone in the beginning? i mean, i guess he got one. And if he stayed awake that long.. Maybe he could even save his own life with that '^^

The video and the sound board for sure because "just in case you couldn't hear/see it the first time, let's play it 20 more times"

All the dicking around you have to do and just to make Machi talk?

You got to Perceive more than once and a weird hairdo in action. xD
But all this doesn't exclude the fact that everyone knows that Machi couldn't have been the killer, is pure logic. *sigh* If Edgeworth was managing this case, the logic system wouldn't even be in it. xD

I have to admit, the Perceiving done in this case was probably the best in all of Apollo Justice. I just can't get past how contrived the whole set-up is.

It's worse than 2-3, honestly. In that case, you had to accept that a cape snagged onto a bust in what is a pretty ridiculous coincidence, but in this case, you have to accept that almost every character, from witness to killer to victim to detective to prosecutor is completely fucking incompetent.

Machi's pretty cool, it's not his fault he didn't get a translator.

Valant's cool, but underused.

(OH MY GOD I HAVEN'T POSTED IN FOREVER anyway)

I loved 4-3, actually, even if Icarus and some other posters pointed out that some of the characters' actions really didn't make any sense. I think some of it can be explained by the fact that the case was high profile and rushed, but still. Even if Klavier and the other members of law enforcement were being rushed to find and arrest a murder suspect so they could get the entire thing wrapped up ASAP, they could have done a slightly better job. Uh.

Poor Machi. Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong for him. XD;

I liked the case. I do hated how they played the song every time, even when it wasn't necessary (come on, I've heard those lyrics ten times now, I know they're related to the crime, don't repeat it to me again...). But that was the only thing that I really hated about it.

I thought the case was okay; if I had to say something bad about the case it was that it was easy to figure out but annoy to prove and the language barrier and :haha: didn't help at all. The guitar serenade was cool just played too much but it was nice that it was involved in the case.

You know, I always actually liked the case. It had a dark "The end is coming" feel to me about the game and despite the fact it had little to no relation to the last case, I still think it set it up just as well. I also liked how little attention Daryan received the first day of the investigation. Some people might say that makes him all the more suspicious but I like how it was done anyway.

Although it definitely wasn't one of the best cases in the series, I enjoyed 4-3. Other than some annoying characters and that overplayed video, the case was pretty fun. Oh, and Daryan's breakdown is one of my favorites!

It's been pretty interesting to read people opinions about 4-3, since I myself finished it just a week ago or so.
And I absolutely loved this case. Then again, I've always been the type to like fillers even more than plot-episodes; I'm so hopelessly character-driven.
So it might be that I loved Turnabout Serenade because we found out Apollo's opinion about rock-music, saw a whiny bitchy Klavier and got a bunch of new, interesting characters, especially Machi who I found absolutely adorable and Daryan who... well... let's just say that I totally fell in love with him. ^^;
For some reason I find his snarky attitude and overall dickheadness (pun totally intended) insanely smexy.

As for Guitar's Serenade... being the dork that I am, I was all "whoaa" every time Lamiroir "vanished". *shot*

4-3... See, I liked the overall mood of it, and the basic idea was pretty neat. But it was executed (Lol bad GS pun XD) poorly. Watching that video SO MANY TIMES wore very thin, and the whole absurdness of it all, the "Yes, this little 'blind' kid can shoot a .45 caliber revolver and not get hurt... And move a body without being seen" accusation was way too out there, even for an Ace Attorney game. There were way too many logic leaps and finding the part in the song where Machi played one handed was rather... ehh.(lol I play piano and it took me forever...)

Having a client who you couldn't even speak to was very disconnecting, in a way. The best cases are the ones where the clients are likeable... or very hateable. Machi was just "...Oh.", and I find if you can't have an opinion on a character, the whole thing gets very boring very fast.

And Klavier needs MOAR ANGST AND CORRUPTION like the other prosecutors.

I think the thing that really bugged me was the illogical court scenes. Other than Machi, the investigation parts were alright.

Hehe, good to see I wasn't the only one who enjoyed the case.
Maybe it's just some sorta fangirl-thing. >3

And yes, I agree that there were a lot of illogical little things that made some parts of the case quite confusing. I had to resort to a walkthrough couple of times because I couldn't figure out what was going on to save my life. Just like Cravat Of Doom said, it's pretty weird that they could seriously suspect Machi for firing the gun and moving the body.

... But then I think about Daryan dragging LeTouse's carcass to the platform, swearing like the bitch that he is... and I start grinning and giggling like an idiot, and... yeah. So the character-awesomeness of the case made all the contradictions up for me.

As much as the case itself didn't make a lot of sense, I did think Daryan was a hilarious asshole and wished he wasn't the killer so we could potentially see more of him.

Hmm, well, I didn't exactly HATE this case, but I did DISLIKE it (personally I liked it the least out of GS4). I really hated Machi and Lamiroir. They were both just really annoying and ... ugh! Watching the video didn't help either, and that song is just so stupid :S Yea, blind foreign kid gets no sympathy from me, sorry about that. Plot was WTF too. I mean, seriously -_-"
I actually seriously love Daryan, he's awesome lol XD I kept hoping it wouldn't be him, but it wasn't so :(

I liked it because of Daryan >w>

But I don't like Lamiroir or Machi, so those parts kinda sucked. Klavvy was good in it, though. :3 I liked how his guitar burst into flames :garyuu:

The case really just needed a little elaboration to fix it's issues.

Like 1. they could've had a dolly backstage and said Machi used that to move the bodies.
2. Explain that due to his small size/blindness, Machi was cradling the gun to his chest and thus his torso would've absorbed the recoil and not dislocated his arm, unlike Daryan who had one hand busy with the walkie talkie and shot the gun one handed like an idiot.

That really would have fixed all the issues in that case.

Personally, I love Machi. He was just adorable, and his occasional snarkiness towards Apollo just cracked me up. Kid is cute and femmy, but he packs quite an attitude.

Daryan was pretty awesome thought. And now that you mention it, imagining him dragging that body and cursing to himself all annoyed woulda been the most giggle-inducing scene ever.
I know who Apollo's real father is, and I have evidence...
Spriters needed for fanmade GS5! It's gonna be BIG!

If we get a GS5, this is a FREAKING MUST. Klavier can't loose all that and be fine with it...

I lol'd at Klavier being a Drama Queen (and for a moment, I was scared /fail) but by the third time I had Guilty Love and Guitar Serenade MEMORIZED. Granted, they're my two favorite songs from AJ (besides the Perceive System music and Trucy's theme), but it was OVERPLAYED.

I thought the music board parts were hard, at least with Daryan's note. You would think one who plays music would notice that ... (but I tend to listen to my own section rather than those around me like I'm supposed to) the music board things were fun.

And Klavier freaking out over his burning guitar made me lol for centuries.

I freaking hate LeTouse. JUST SAY IT. Being cryptic is Hobo!Phoenix's job. :hobohodo:

Also, LeTouse is 35? What the hell? He looks more like 55 to me. Well, I don't think Lamiroir really looks like she's 40 either.
But LeTouse was annoying, yes.

Word. :D Daryan (as much as I love him) screwed the pooch on that one, so why not... I dunno, mention the cocoon-smuggling or something?

Well, yes, LeTouse was cryptic. But he was also dying. Haven't you ever been unable to think of a name and had it on the tip of your tongue, especially when you're on the spot? Now imagine being on the spot while suffering massive blood loss. It wasn't unrealistic to me that he'd be disoriented and perhaps just could not think of Lamiroir's name, and all that was coming to him was "The Siren of the Ballad'.
I know who Apollo's real father is, and I have evidence...

you're right. But for the sake of the logic used in the game, it really pissed me off LMAO.
