Apollo Justice is one sarcastic defender! Share Polly's most quotable quotes here!

Here's one of my personal favourites:
Quote:
...Here's what I want you to do, Trucy. Take that memory, gently lock it away deep in your heart, and never speak of it.

I would put more, but I can't remember everything Apollo says. But if you guys remember, post your faves! :odo-objection:

"Valant Gramarye! (...Using the door like an average muggle, no less.)"

The Harry Potter reference really amused me. ^-^;

Is it wrong that I interpreted that in an inappropriate manner?

hey, does anyone remember that conversation he had with Trucy in 4-2 in the garage? something about Apollo and stuffing things up holes, or something equally as suggestive?

anyone ... ?

:sadshoe:

haha but really. it was after you pull the panties out of the car muffler & then reexamine the muffler. someone who hasn't misplaced their copy of the game should look for it if they have the time (:
Kay, you might want to tone the ruffling down a bit.

See this is why this kid's my favourite character, such a snarker! I have to replay the game again because I know quite a few gems came out of him XD

"(Focus, Justice! Time to take advantage of her! ...I mean, of her mistake!)"
"Trucy: No, this might take awhile. Daddy REALLY loves his examinations.
Apollo: (Don't ask Justice. You really do not want to know.)"

"I accuse him of panty snatching of the first degree!"
"Trucy: Polly's Amazing!
Trucy: He found my panties so quick!
Trucy: Almost like he was the one who stole them!
Apollo: ...You have an interesting concept of praise."
"Phoenix: ...and zoomed away. Creepy, huh?
Apollo: Just a tad. It's almost as creepy as hearing you tell the story like it was no big deal."
"Apollo: ...Huh? When I touched it the paint flaked off.
Trucy: He must have painted it on by hand with warm, professional care!
Apollo: After buying the cheapest paint he had with cold professional thrift."
"Phoenix: ...
Apollo: (It's actually a relief to be so thoroughly ignored.)"
"A very naughty part of me is tempted to write "We Kill" on the left side of the sign"
"Just so we're clear, searching through trash isn't a hobby of mine, OK?"
"I thought rock was supposed to be rebellious... since when has it been about crying?"
"If only I could count on panties to save the day everyday every day..."
"Phoenix: You got me. What can I say? I was raised in a barn. Try not to let the word get out, Apollo. If you don't mind.
Apollo: (Yeah, it might ruin your illustrious career pretending to play the piano)" :odoroki:

THESE ONES OMG. The "We Kill" and paint ones get me every time. When exactly was the rock one, though?

I somehow feel like that while Phoenix's humor was about pointing out the ridiculous things going on around him, Apollo's seems like a mix of that and really strangely witty comebacks. Or is this just me? Or am I too biased because I haven't played the main trilogy in a while?

As someone who loves both protagonists and played all the games over again recently (after finding out about GS5 I had to, I just had to) I can say that while both Phoenix and Apollo are funny, Apollo is the wittier of the two. It's precisely because of his dry wit that he's my favourite character :odoroki:

Well from someone who has played all the games again recently (after the announcement about GS5 I just had to) I can say that while both Apollo and Phoenix are funny guys who make comments about the crazy world they occupy, I find Phoenix's humour is adorable and you're right it's observational about the ridiculous things around them, and I found that Apollo is definitely wittier and far more sarcastic so it's not your bias. In fact, it is precisely because of his dry wit that (even though I practically adore all of the GS characters) Apollo is my favourite GS character of all time XDDD :odoroki: My personal theory is that his sarcasm and biting wit are the result of his (very likely hard) upbringing.

Ah, good to see I wasn't being super biased about my favorite character, then. :odoroki: Gotta love that dry wit.

Also, I totally agree with your theory--I was actually thinking the same thing earlier. And every single time something like this comes up, I have to reiterate my wish that GS5 stars Apollo.

Ah, as for a contribution to the thread:

Guy: …You like those onions they put in the soup broth?
Apollo: Um, yeah, kind of.
Guy: You take a spoon, you drink some broth… Those onions will find their way in there. For people who like ‘em, why that’s just fine. For people who hate ‘em… …I hate onions. Hate ‘em! Always sneaking in from the side, gettin’ in the way of a good tastin’ spoonful. Well, that’s what he was. An onion! Onion-boy, that’s what I called ‘im.
Apollo: So… you weren’t exactly friends.
