Pretty sure nobody posted this yet. To summarize all points of interest...

Spoiler: AJ Names
Kawadzu = Stickler
Lettuce = LeTouse
Minuku System = Percieve System

Also, random Takita/Wocky quote from one screen that amuses me:

"Hit me with the guilty verdict, G! See if I care. >_>"

Also, you know how NP said Apollo was going to be on the cover? They lied. He wasn't. I'm going to go cry in the corner while burning the generic Ninja Gaiden ninja that replaced him. :uramidn:

And my god. I hope this isn't true...

Spoiler: "NP, Page 55-56"
At certain points during witness testimony, Apollo's bracelet becomes active on the DS's lower screen, indicating that you can use his heightened perception abilities. when you tap the bracelet, time slows down and the screen zooms in on the witness, allowing you to closely watch the witness's behavior as he or she is speaking. If you pay attention, you'll notice subtle mannerisms - shifting eyes, twitching fingers, swallowing, etc. - during fishy parts of the testimony that reveal when something's awry. All that's left is you yell "Gotcha!" into the DS's microphone to blow the case wide open.

Really? COME ON.

YES! I knew something more devisive would turn up sooner or later, and it turned out to be 'gotcha'! I actually like it a lot somehow, don't ask me why.

Can someone explain Kawadzu's name though please?

"Gotcha" sounds too much to me like something I dance around singing when I find contradictions, not like something...Oh God. I don't know, it just doesn't sound right.

As for Kawadzu...I honestly have no idea DX

I don't mind that, but I hope it lets you use a button or the stylus like the other words in case you don't feel like shouting into your DS, because I don't do that a lot (especially at night when the rest of my family is trying to sleep and I'm staying in my room because that's where I always charge my DS)...

I'm kind of excited about the English names, though less so than I could be because I don't know who most of the characters are anyway. :P But it makes me even more excited about getting the game!

Oh yeah, forgot about the GOTCHA!s. :yogi:

As for Kawadzu's name...

Spoiler: Kawadzu
Well, a "stickler" is someone who likes following all the rules of something down to the letter, and refuses to do anything else. Sort of matches Kawadzu's personality...at least, his outward show of personality, considering his secret panty-thieving escapades. :study:

I stay away from this forum unless there's a thread at the top about English version info (ads and stuff which tend to not be spoilery) like this one, so yeah... very excited, yet also very spoiler-phobic... ^^

Those sound kind of dumb...? :shoe:

I think "Gotcha" is actually pretty fitting. "Right there!" would be technically more "correct" but that's a lot for an objection bubble, and "Gotcha!" does fit Apollo's personality. I kinda like it.

Perceive System, on the other hand, I'm not crazy about.

Still sad that "Wocky" isn't just a bad joke ;_;

:nick-sweat: You're right.
:nick: Just one of the many reasons I don't write fan-fiction.

"It's there!" Apollo yelled. The courtroom was silent in anticipation.
"WHAT'S there?", the judge asked while trying to keep a straight face.
"A nervous tick! It's THERE I tell you! Look at the witness!", Apollo said with a smug face.
The courtroom exploded in laughter as Apollo was humiliated by the judge! But just then the witness screamed loudly!
"GRRRAAAAAAAHH!! You've found my secret, Apollo! Grr!", he said.

It still sounds a bit like lettuce, and it fits in better with his european heritage I think. And I think at some point the perceive system will be a punny name, since the Japanese version was taken from Minuki's name or vice versa.

Wait... did I read that scan right?

Some words are off, but it says something like "the gameplay has (something)ed from previous PW titles;" then it says you can't use the magatama (obviously) and then it says you can't present character profiles.

Is that true?

Mind you, I can't read all of that so I'm not 100% sure... someone with the NP page tell me if that's right please.

So they can put it into the next game to make them harder. Since this might be the only intro for new players to the series, they didn't want to make it as taxing. Not to mention all the new CSI-esque equipment. I think AJ 2 will re-introduce them again, don't worry. :)

It's always nice to hear new news about AJ:AA. Feels like it was coming sooner. But why Gotcha!? I know it suits the game, but still. Makes me think about Pokémon's "Gotta catch them all".

Nooo! That was one of the best things introduced in JFA. It was even better than the game's plot! I really hope they will put that back to GS5.

I kinda like gotcha. I mean, if you see something that tells you they're lying, you aren't going to say where it is, you're just going to say that they're doing it, and gotcha fits that. And it's more fun to yell triumphantly into the mic~!

"Hit me with the guilty verdict, G! See if I care." made me LOL. Oh, Wocky... it's the expression that makes it. Were there any more screens with quotes on 'em? Not scans, just any particularly good quotes?

I like "Gotcha!". It sounds more like something I would say (but it's all about Appy, right?). It also reminds of the Pokemon slogan "Gotta catch 'em all!", so I'm not alone!

They did say they were turning the difficulty down for GS4, to bring it closer to the first game. Presenting profiles will probably be back in GS5.

Presenting character profiles added a lot of flavor to the game, but when you're at an impasse there's nothing more annoying than having to present every single piece of evidence AND every single profile to someone.

So is it like case 1-5 where you can present profiles during court every now and then, like when you call Jake Marshall to the stand?

Think of the game as 1-5 for every case.

"Give a nickname to (insert Witnesses name)?"
