Okay, this RP started a while ago, but it died. However, the idea of the RP, I think, is a great one, so I hope no one minds if we start from scratch. This here is the link to the OOC thread. Please post all OOC-ness there from now on, m'kay?

This is an RP that takes place in the prosecutor's office between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice.

Rules:
1. You may use a character from any of the games or you may create an OC. You may have more than one character, but don't try to take more than you can keep track of.
2. No god-modding. I shouldn't even need to say that, right?
3. There may be romance and profanity, but nothing explicit on the romance and no heavy profanity. PM me if you need clarification.
4. Before posting, if you would please check spelling, grammar, et cetera, it would be a huge help for your fellow RPers to understand your post, so please do it.
5. It's okay for characters not to like each other, but no OOC flaming or anything. Y'all know what to do and not to do with that sort of thing, I know, but it never hurts to put it in the rules to make sure.

Right now, applications are open, but somewhat restricted. This means we are looking to drive the current plot, and therefore need to be sure we can find room for your character in it before we accept him/her.

To apply for this RP, simply ask on the OOC Thread if you can join. Do not yet make a character profile. We will PM you from there. We may ask you:

1) to take a character whose RPer is currently inactive. I consider a player inactive when they have not posted for over a month. If you take this character, it will only be until their part in the trial is over, at which point the character can disappear into the sunset or something.

2) to fill a role we need for the trial, or perhaps we'll ask you what role you'd like to play. This is why we don't want you to submit a character profile right away. We want to see how we'll fit a character into the current plot first.

If all roles in the trial are filled and all players a currently active, we will ask you to be advised that the character you submit may be a spectator. That means your character will not advance the current plot, but he/she can still comment about the things going on around them.

As for current RPers: if you come back from over a month's hiatus and find that your character has been taken, do not be alarmed! The character will only be taken until their part in the current trial is over, at which point, you may reclaim him/her. If you want to reclaim sooner than that, you may PM me, but be advised: to reclaim your character, you'll have to first be active for two weeks.

Now that that's out of the way, here is the profile form:

OCs
Name:
Age:
Job:
Appearance:
Bio:

Note: Some OCs need a normal past, please.

Characters from the games
Name:
Age:

I will put in the characters right here.
OCs:
Spoiler: Lida_Rose ----- Sheila Axiom
Name: Sheila Axiom
Age: 22
Job: Prosecutor
Appearance: Sheila stands at 5'8, has strawberry blond hair and blue eyes. She typically wears a green dress, green high heels, and has a green purse. She wears a light amount of makeup over her slightly pale complexion.
Bio: Sheila used to be a defense attorney, but after she got a 'not guilty' verdict for a client who turned out to be guilty, she decided to become a prosecutor under Miles Edgeworth's advice. She has been a prosecutor for a year.

Spoiler: Franini ----- Kara O'Keefe
Name: Kara O'Keefe
Age: 28
Job: Psychologist turned prosecutor
Appearance: Raven black hair pinned up with striking violet eyes. Wears a white trench buttoned up trench coat with black boots not dissimilar to Franziska vK's. Thin, pinched face and a fragile looking body. When she takes her trench coat off she wears a black turtleneck jumper and long black trousers. She is always wearing a silver pendant around her neck.
Personality: Rather cold and distant but not afraid to speak her mind. She is not a 'I-must-win-at-all -costs sort of prosecutor but won't go down without a fight (slightly like Klavier and Edgeworth) and is almost the opposite, craving the truth and most importantly, justice. Once you get past her shell, she is actually quite a nice person but has a tendency to analyse people's flaws and walking away when she is not in complete control of the situation or happy with what's around her.
Biography: Kara was once a top psychologist, but seven years ago suddenly quit her profession and turned to prosecuting instead. She said it was because she had lost faith in people and so couldn't bring herself to continue in a job where she dealt with them all the time. Now, she is an esteemed prosecutor and well liked by her colleagues. She is good friends with Edgeworth and Klavier (although she can get irritated with the latter) and respects them. Gumshoe also worships her because she argues against his pay cuts, and also thinks the way she can read people amazing. Yet she always seems to be off sick...
SPOILER: Kara in fact was diagnosed with a terminal illness seven years ago and this is what caused her loss of faith. The pendant she wears is in fact a medical one. Her time's running out, so she wants to leave the world knowing she's made it a better place in a small way. No one knows of her illness.

Spoiler: Awesome_Cravat ----- Valenzia von Richter
Name: Valenzia von Richter
Age: 60
Job: Prosecutor

Appearance: Waist length silver hair with a side swept fringe. Piercing ice blue eyes and pale skin, wears pince nez. Fairly short at 5'4" with a petite build. Wears a fitted deep crimson skirt suit, slightly embelleshed at the cuffs with a white shirt underneath, fastened at the collar with a matching crimson broach and plain black high heels. Has a vague overall sense of similarity with Franziska von Karma.

Personalitly: Maintains a professional front in public with a strong sense of justice and maintains great faith in the police department. Despite being somewhat of a hardass on the outside, she has a soft and sensitive inner side with a weakness for the troubled type, and a penchant for toffees.

Bio: Originating from Germany and the rather affluent von Richter family, Valenzia is an old aquaintance of Manfred von Karma and also a good friend of Chief of Police Damon Gant. Having spent a great deal of her life in England, attending various universities and finishing schools, she is a rather old fashioned woman. Having passed the bar aged 25 and spending 6 years as a barrister, Valenzia joined the German prosecuting office at the age of 31. By the time she was 40, Valenzia had become a high prosecutor in Germany, and liased often with high ranking members of the American justice system. She moved to America, aged 45, to practice law in washington for 10 years before she transfered to Los Angeles at the request of Damon Gant. She has since kept a low profile prosecuting minor cases and watching the daughter of her old aquaintance grow into a formidable prosecutor.

Spoiler: CarChaseCityMan ----- Floyd Ambrose
Name: Floyd Ambrose
Age: 31
Job: Detective
Appearance: Tall and built, with short brown hair and a long brown overcoat. He also has a long scar running down his face between his eyes. He carries his gun underneath his coat, and always has a butterfly knife in his pocket, which he often plays around with in his freetime.
Bio: Floyd moved to the United States 8 years ago after serving in the British SAS. After moving, he struggled to find his calling other than the military. He decided that, since his only talent seemed to be following orders and shooting things, the police sounded like a good profession for him. He found his passion in detective work, and was recently made one.

Spoiler: ToonBlade ----- Adam Blade
Name: Adam Blade
Age: 23
Job: Deffense Attorney
Appearance: Very messy and a bit spiky black hair, light brown eyes, 6'4", green suit, very light yellow under shirt, blue tie, black shoes.
Personality: His personality is a bit mild, and is a bit lazy. However, when he needs to get the job done, he get's it done. He also tries to joke around if he's with friends. Whenever he's in court, his personality changes and becomes serious and focused.
Bio: Adam is a young deffense attorney with one and a half years of experience and 4 victories under his belt. When he was 16, he was acused from robbing from a store, and was found guilty. He spent about two months in jail. When he got out, most of his friends stoped talking to him. In his school, he was judged and was insulted all the time. After going through all that torture, he decided to become a deffense attorney.

Spoiler: LordWolfODonnell ----- Howl Ingmune
Name: Howl Ingmune

Age: 29

Job: Prosecutor

Appearance: 6'2" with an eye patch on the left eye and a deep grey right eye. Intense white hair worn in a spiked fashion. Wears a dark red vest with a black, long-sleeved dress shirt underneath, pitch black pants and dark metallic boots. Usually has an 'I'm going to slit your throat' look on his face.

Bio: Ruthless and intelligent prosecutor who always plans four steps ahead. Adventurous in many senses, and has a thing for pushing people to breaking points. Despises being wrong, and will threaten anyone who stands to oppose him. Grins only when he knows he is victorious. Has been convicted of murder twice, but was acquitted both times. Howl tends to be rash, but is always informative. His work is of the utmost importance to him, regardless of how he seems to act.

Spoiler: angel_of_nature ----- Rose Thornebush
Name: Rose N. Thornebush
Age: 27
Job: Prosecutor
Appearance: Rose has an average height at 5'6". She has long, black hair which she keeps tied in a ponytail and a slightly tan complexion. She wears thin glasses with silver framing, a short turquoise dress, a black long-sleeved coat, and black heels.
Bio: With seven years of experience as a prosecutor, Rose has a position directly under the high prosecutor. She generally maintains a good relationship with all of her colleagues, and learns much from the strategies of others. In her spare time, she reads classics and mystery novels, and enjoys a good puzzle.

PW/AJ/AAI characters:
Spoiler: GDM ---- Franziska von Karma
Name: Franziska von Karma
Age: 21
Job: Prosecutor

Appearance: Franziska is actually short, but appears taller due to her heels. She has light bluish-grey hair and wears turquoise earrings. She dresses in a long black vest with a matching black mini-skirt. Under her vest is a long-sleeved white blouse with puffy sleeves and decorated cuffs. Her shoes are short, black boots with 4'' heels. She wears black, leather gloves and is never seen without her whip.

Bio: Ever since becoming a prosecutor at the extremely young age of 13, Franziska has been considered a prodigy. She is a perfectionist to the highest degree, and is currently employed as one of two "High Prosecutors" at the Prosecutors' Office.

Spoiler: Franziska Von ehmpke5 ----- Lana Skye
Name: Lana Skye
Age: ??
Job: Defense attorney

Spoiler: Ha3 (supposed to be a cubic sign, but I don't know how to do that on this computer) ----- Miles Edgeworth
Name: Miles Edgeworth
Age: 28
Job: District and Head Prosecutor

Appearance: Miles Edgeworth is a rather tall man for his age. He has gray hair, neated up in a rather unique hairstyle.

He uses a wine burgundy suit over a black shirt, paired up with a tailor-made silk cravat, result of his past with the Von Karma lineage.

Even if he's a prosecutor, he prefers keeeping his badge -the proof of his profession- safe in his right pocket.

Bio: His father was killed when he was young, and Miles was taken as his father's murderer protége. After 15 years, thorugh a series of overly complicated events, his father's murderer was caught, however, Miles dissapeared, leading many to think he commited suicide.

However, he was just thinking over what meant to be a prosecutor. He came back after a year, and soon became one of United States' top prosecutors.

((Alrighty! Let's get this party started! :D))

Sheila Axiom was sitting on the couch in the prosecutors' office. The day had shaken her up to say the least, but she was calming back down, breathing in and out deeply. She had another case coming up, and she could not afford to feel even the slightest bit unfocused. The truth doesn't come out unless both the defense and the prosecution give it their all. I cannot afford to be distracted by trivial matters.

((TBH, I don't really know if I can smoothly tie the last storyline in with this one. . . I guess we'll just see how things play out.))

"I hereby declare the defendant, Mr. Lawrence Nightingale, Guilty!" *SLAM*

Franziska von Karma grinned and leaned back in her chair. She knew this would be the outcome from the start. Perfectly prepared witnesses, perfectly solid evidence, a defense attorney who didn't know what day of the week it was, what could have gone wrong? Nothing, that's what; especially not with Child Prodigy, Franziska von Karma, acting as prosecution. The trial had not lasted even 45 minutes, and ultimatly, Franziska decided this case wasn't worth even that amount of her time. Foolishly foolish fool of a judge. . . if he wasn't so foolishly oblivious, I could have had this mockery of a trial done in 3 minutes! (This was something that Franziska often told herself, yet never actually accomplished.)

With adrenaline still fresh in her system, Franziska hastily gathered her things and reorganized her attaché case. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Mr. Nightingale arguing with ex-defense attorney. The counsel clearly wasn't prepared for the trial, and didn't even seem to follow that day's proceedings. It was an easy win for her, really. She almost found herself feeling sorry for the attorney. . . almost. He wasn't worth her time, either. What mattered, in the end, was that Franziska got her "Guilty" verdict, and yet another criminal was due to pay his price to society. If nothing else, what eight years as a prosecutor had taught her was to disregard the foolish, and focus on helping the judge see how absolutely guilty every defendant really was. This trial was no different.

Making her way out of the court room, Franziska saw a few of her coworkers take a quick glance, then quickly look away. She realized that the cadence of her heels on the tile floor was something so familiar that almost anyone knew who was coming before she turned the corner. Franziska had grown to be quite important at the Prosecutors Office, and now enjoyed the title of "High Prosecutor" along side her little brother, Miles Edgeworth. Of course, in comparison, she was superior and more feared. It had been her goal to achieve that title before him, however the seven year gap between them had made achieving that goal rather difficult. When she received her title last year, Franziska became the youngest person, and the only female, to ever become the "High Prosecutor". Merely another day in the life of Franziska von Karma.
____________________________________________________________________

A few minutes later, Franziska found herself at the Prosecutors' Office. Her itinerary for the rest of the day was clear, so all that was left for Franziska to do was to drop off her papers and ensure that the detectives working on her next case were doing so efficiently. Passing by the front entrance, Franziska noticed Sheila Axiom resting on one of the couches. It being almost impossible not to sense the despair emanating from said couch, Franziska decided to approach. Her and Sheila weren't on bad terms, and Sheila was one of the few people that Franziska was comfortable bouncing ideas off of. It would be rude for her not to see what was the matter.

"Ms. Sheila Axiom, you appear distressed." Franziska strode up to the couch, and positioned herself at a comfortable distance from her coworker. "What seems to be troubling you?"

((Definitely not my best RPing. . . it's been easily five months since I've even attempted to participate in any type of role play. Hopefully, my posts will get better. D:))
((Lol, what was that. . . three paragraphs of useless character intro? I promise my other posts won't be as drawn out.))

Sheila started.
"Erm...Yes, well, I was accused of forging evidence," she answered sheepishly. "The defense...used to be a friend of mine, but now, it's like there is no low he wouldn't sink to in hopes of defeating me in court." She shook her head. "It's just silly."

Prosecutor Valenzia von Richter had a modest office on the first floor in which she spent a large amount of her time preparing cases for court. Today however, she had far more important things to do. Although she held little actual power within the Prosecutors office, there were a few things Valenzia would NOT tolerate. Accusing another prosecutor of forging evidence was one of those things.

She walked up to the 2 prosecutors in the entrance lobby, giving a cup of tea to Sheila Axiom. Not some cheap instant tea, no, it had to be properly brewed english tea, earl grey in this particular instant.

"Prosecutor von Karma." Valenzia said, dipping her head in acknowledgement before turning back to Sheila.

"Prosecutor Axiom, calm yourself and explain what happened."

Sheila sipped her tea thoughtfully.
"Thank you, Prosecutor von Richter," she said. "It really is nothing. You see, the defense and I were in court, I presented more evidence to prove the defendant was guilty, and the defense accused me of forging it. I have another case to handle in a half-hour, then, tomorrow, I will have my hearing about this 'forged evidence.'" She shook her head and sipped the tea. "Frankly, they would replace me for this next case if it wasn't such short notice."

((I realized that I forgot to add the personality part of the profile. I'll add it later on.))

Floyd Ambrose awoke with a start on his desk, drooling slightly. One of the other officers there woke him up. "What time is it?" he grumbled in his thickly accented yawn. The officer told him and he swore.

"Damn. I've got to sleep more," he decided, reaching for a file on his desk. These were the documents regarding Franziska Von Karma's next case. It was imperative that they were filed and filled out correctly, and there was always something wrong with it. After checking everything twice more, he rose and started walking to the Prosecutor's Office.

Kara lay on her office couch, coughing slightly. Despite having goodness knows how many cups of tea and painkillers, her headache still hadn't dissipated. Luckily, all she had to do was paperwork from a previous case rather than prosecute... but her concentration still wasn't up to it's usual standard. She had another doctor's appointment tomorrow, so she had to finish most of the teetering yet organised pile today so she didn't have too heavy a workload to do the next morning. Sighing and rubbing her temples, Kara stood up, brushing her crinkled trousers off, and went down to the lounge in pursuit of another cup of tea and perhaps a digestive biscuit. It didn't matter what she ate these days, the damned illness ensured she was always painfullly thin, no matter how much she binged on biscuits and the like.
Entering cautiously, she caught sight of Prosecutors von Richter, von Karma and Axiom around and on the couch, Axiom looking slightly miserable and drinking tea. She listened to their conversation, not wanting to intrude particularly, but glided over eventually and sat beside Axiom, tentatively putting what she hoped was a reassuring hand on her shoulder, palms cold and fingers spindle like.
"Don't worry, Ms Axiom, I'm sure there is absolutely no proof, the hearing will be a complete*cough* farce," Kara said, trying to ignore the increasingly worse throbbing of her head. "Good morning to you, Prosecutor von Karma, Prosecutor von Richter *cough*."

Bowing her head slightly, Franziska shifted her eyes between Valenzia and Kara.

She turned back to Sheila. "Forging evidence is possibly the greatest low any officer of the court could reach. Cases should be won using logic and analysis." Pausing for a moment, Franziska looked at the ground near Sheila's feet. She raised her head. "I certainly had doubts about my little brother when his honesty was called into question. However, this time. . . not so much. You clearly aren't the type of person to falsify evidence." In the year that Sheila had been working at the Prosecutor's Office, Franziska had never seen someone so staunch when it came to rules and regulations. To say that Sheila created counterfeit evidence would be like saying Franziska forgot her whip at her mansion; It just would never happen. "Besides, it's the detectives' job to inspect the evidence you plan to present. If anything went wrong, it is their fault, not yours." Franziska never was very fond of the detectives on the force. There was only one that she ever appreciated, but he had long since found another line of work. ((Referring to Badd.))

"Speaking of detectives. . ." Franziska reached into her handbag and pulled out her cell phone. "I'll be back in a moment." She found an empty office a few feet from where Sheila sat. Cycling through her contacts, she found the number for Floyd Ambrose and held the device up to her head, waiting for him to pick up. He had better be waiting for me up in my office. I needed the preliminary paperwork filed over an hour ago. . .

"Perhaps, Prosecutor Axiom, you should prepare for your next trial." After all, she knew that the defence attorney was obviously mistaken. Valenzia had never much liked defence attorneys, most of them seemed intent on either getting obviously guilty criminals off the hook or dirtying the names of the prosecutors and the prosecutors office. Subconciously she stiffened, straightening her posture and adopting a cold front. Valenzia's train of though however, was disturbed by a cough. She turned to see Kara making her way over to them, sitting down next to Sheila and offering her some words of comfort before offering her greeting to the two german prosecutors.

"Prosecutor O'Keefe" Valenzia said, presenting a polite nod of acknowledgement, "How are you feeling today?"

Kara frowned, she thought no one knew she was down the slippery slope of death - however today it must look obvious she was down with something.
"I must have a slight cold, Prosecutor von Richter, *cough* or some common ailment, please do not trouble yourself. Also, I will be absent tomorrow afternoon, so please if there is anything urgent, notify me in the morning. Prosecutor Axiom, I consider Prosecutor von Richter's advice the best thing you can do - prepare for your case soon and do not let your mind be clouded by the malicious accusations of a clearly sore loser." Kara stood up, wobbling slightly, and steadying herself, moving to the tea machine in one corner and hoping that her lie was not pointing out like a sore thumb.

Sheila smiled slightly.
"Thank you," she said, addressing the three prosecutors. She cast a concerned look to Kara when she coughed, and she had explained it must just be a cold or something of similar nature. Sheila pursed her lips, not quite satisfied with that explanation, especially when Kara added she would be absent the next day and started wobbling slightly as she walked, but she decided not to question it and follow Valenzia's advice, pulling out the case file and reading it over again. Naturally, she had it memorized by now, but it didn't hurt to read it over again.

"So I can hear, that is a rather unpleasant sounding cough you have." She said as she straightened her cuffs. "I shall make sure you are informed of any urgent business tomorrow."

Valenzia took notice of Kara's unsteadiness as she got up, perception, after all, is an important skill as a prosecutor. None the less it appeared to be no more than a common cold and as such Valenzia felt no need to worry herself with her co-workers condition. Instead she turned her attention back to Sheila's problem.

"I shall do some investigating and find out any relevant information I can to help you with your hearing tomorrow, Prosecutor Axiom. I am confident this will turn out to be little more than an unfounded accusation, wildly being tossed about."

Once again bowing her head politely she turned to leave.

"If I am needed, I shall be in my office. Good luck with your case Prosecutor Axiom, and I hope you feel better soon Prosecutor O'Keefe."

Making her way back to her office, Valenzia could feel her temper rising. How dare someone accuse a member of the prosecutors office of such a low deed. Although she had 3 small cases to prepare for trial tomorrow, Valenzia decided that she would dedicate some of her time getting to the bottom of this outrageous claim.

((Fixed my bio. Also, sorry for making you wait, GDM :sadshoe: ))

Just as Floyd was arriving at the Prosecutor's office, his cell phone rang loudly in his pocket, "Dyer Maker by Led Zepellin blasting. He pulled the phone out, silently praying that it was anybody but- "Of course. Franziska Von bloody Karma."

He took a deep breath and answered. "Hello, Ms. Von Karma. You caught me just as I was getting to the office. In fact," he trailed off, stepping inside the grand building. Floyd sighed in relief upon seeing Franziska and hung up. He ran over to her and offered the file. "Here it is, ma'am. Sorry I'm late."

((XD I love how he didn't let her get a word in edge-wise. These two are going to get along great.))
((@CCCM: Hey man, don't worry about it. Just letting people know why I wasn't posting. ^-^))

"Hello, Ms. Von Karma. . ." Franziska flinched slightly at the abruptness of his greeting. "You caught me just as I was getting to the office. In fact," She opened her lips, ready to sound off, when Floyd burst into the room and presented her with the file. "Here it is, ma'am. Sorry I'm late."

She looked at the papers for a second, then raised her gaze with a look of utter disbelief and irritation to meet his eyes. Without hesitation, she slowly extended her hand, then quickly snatched the files out of his grasp. With clenched teeth, Franziska glared at the slightly-discheveled detective. She spoke in a stern, frustrated tone. "I distinctly remember telling you, Mr. Floyd Ambrose, these papers were to be filed no later than noon today." She broke eye contact and began to organize the papers she was now holding. "If I cannot rely on the you, the head detective of this case, to keep your wits about you, and actually complete assignments I give you ON TIME. . ." *WHIP* She threw the stack of papers down on the vacant desk and lashed at the floor near Ambrose's feet. "then why, might I ask, are you one of the top earning detectives on the police force!?" She extended her arm to point towards the analogue clock above the doorway. "It is one o'clock, detective. One o'clock! What on earth could have set you back an extra hour!? Do you realize that your foolish incompetence may have cost me a meeting with my eyewitness!?" She shifted her grey eyes back up to meet his gaze, and held his stare, waiting to see what he had to say for himself.

((Hope it was okay I made Floyd "head detective". Kinda figured it was appropriate, seeing as there are no other detectives RPing here ^_^))

((That's fine. At least we know Floyd eats more than ramen noodles.))

Floyd breathed a sigh of relief as Franziska's whip swiped at his feet instead of his head. This manner of scolding was to be expected by now.

"Well, ma'am, to answer your first question, I have the highest arrest record for my paygrade, and as for the second," he said, then hesitated for a moment. "Err... I fell asleep," he admitted, wondering for a second just how much a whipcrack to the face would hurt.

Kara made her tea, sitting once again by Sheila and blowing delicately so as to cool the hot brew. She could not be present at her colleague's hearing - something that saddened the caring part of her slightly - and decided to help her now, should she need it. Kara knew from her psychology degree it was often best to let the person ask for it - no need to pressure Axiom into saying her worries. Kara would help if necessary and provide advice, since von Richter and von Karma had both departed. She also knew Axiom had a case as well - perhaps it would be wise to aid her in that if she was short of time. Pursing her lips, Kara sipped daintily, spindly fingers curled around the handle in what could be called the 'proper' way, waiting to see if Sheila needed her support.

((Just to clarify, I represent my characters thoughts in Italics.))

Valenzia shut the door to her office behind her before walking over to her desk, removing her jacket and placing it on the back of her chair. Letting out a long sigh, she sat back into her chair, closing her eyes for a brief moment.

Defense attorneys, they're all the same. What the hell does he think he's doing?

Years of experiance, etched deep into the face of Prosecutor von Richter. She'd worked hard to get to where she was and had made some good aquaintances on the way.

That doesn't matter now. I should help Prosecutor Axiom.

She sat forward, pulling her laptop towards her and, as promised, set about researching the incident in preparation for the hearing. Though she rarely showed it, Valenzia felt protective over her younger co-workers, specially Franziska. She had, after all, been an aquaintance of her father. The elder prosecutor also felt a sense of pride at the talents of the other prosecutors she worked with, with the exception of one Winston Payne. They all had an extraordinary amount of guilty verdicts under their belts.

She smiled silently to herself before returning back to her work.

Sheila noticed Kara sipping her tea next to her out of the corner of her eye and smiled slightly, putting down her case file.
"Is something on your mind, Prosecutor O'Keefe?" she asked before taking another sip of her tea. She noted that the other two had left, going to their respective offices.
Maybe I should head to my own office soon, she thought.

*WHIP* *WHIP* *WHIP*

"YOU FELL ASLEEP!?!?" That was the last thing Franziska wanted to hear. "I don't pay you to sleep, Mr. Floyd Ambrose! Do that on your own time!" She turned her attention back to the file lying on the desk, her grey eyes filled with rage. "I am perfect, and so are my cases, Mr. Floyd Ambrose. Have you forgotten that!?" *WHIP* She didn't bother to aim her blows. "You are ruining my perfect case before I get a chance to start working on it!" *WHIP* WHIP* "I swear, Detective Floyd Ambrose, if there is a single mistake in this file, it will be the last one you will ever work!"

Swiping the papers off the desk, Franziska stormed out of the office grumbling to herself. ". . . foolish foolery . . . foolhardy detectives . . . this foolish country. . . GAAH!!!!!!" She slammed the door behind her, paying no mind to anything or anyone else in the proximity. Fists clenched, Franziska stood facing away from the door with her eyes closed. She breathed in and out deeply, trying to calm herself for her upcoming meeting with the first eyewitness. Hopefully, they wouldn't catch on that she wasn't officially the Head Prosecutor. Yet.

Floyd clutched his arm and leg in pain from the barrage of whipcracks, but said nothing. As Franziska walked away in a huff, he couldn't help but laugh. She was so young, ten years his junior, yet she acted like she was 50 years older.

Yawning loudly, Floyd stumbled back into the hallway, stroking his chin absently. He was certain there was something else he had to do, but for now it escaped him. For a moment he thought of falling asleep outside Franziska's office, but he wasn't that crazy yet. He decided to just ramble around until something came up.

Kara saw Sheila seemingly ready to return to her office, so decided not to trouble her.
"No, no, I was merely thinking about my engagement tomorrow," she said distractedly. "If you don't mind, I will take my leave of you now. I have a few things to wrap up." Kara rose unsteadily, and headed down the hall, nearly falling over a detective clutching his leg and arm in pain, obviously from a barrage of whips. She bit her lip disapprovingly, Kara didn't care for the injuries Franziska caused with her whip.
"Detective." she said stiffly, "Come with me. I have a first aid kit in my office, and you are bleeding slightly."

Despite being in her office, with the door shut, and being a whole floor above them, Valenzia still heard the familiar crack of Franziska's whip. Along with Miles Edgeworth, Valenzia von Richter was one of few prosecutors who did not fear the whip. She sighed as she rose from her desk. Franziska had a very busy schedule, but she would try and catch her anyway.

That temper of hers is going to get her in trouble one of these days.

As Valenzia made her way to the office that Franziska had been temporarily occupying, she saw Prosecutor O'Keefe escorting a rather battered Detective to her office. She shook her head. Sure, it could be very frustrating when people didn't do their jobs properly or on time, but this was a little excessive.

Valenzia stopped outside of the door the office Franziska had been occupying. She took a deep breath in, having left her jacket in her office and gauging the mood Franziska was in, she was expecting this visit to be a painful one. She often wondered if Franziska knew about her aquaintance with her father. If she did, Franziska certainly never let it show.

She knocked on the office door.

"Prosecutor von Karma?"

((Just to clarify, i'm well aware franziska is no longer in the office.))

"Prosecutor von Karma?"

The thick German accent caught Franziska by surprise. She immediately spun her head around to face Valenzia, her platinum blue hair fanning out along the way. As a reflex, she tightened her grasp on her whip. "Yes?" A bit flustered, Franziska closed her eyes to regain her composure. She rephrased her greeting, this time adjusting her footing to face Valenzia. She attempted a slightly more plesant face than the one she showed Detective Ambrose. "Yes. . . Prosecutor von Richter. What do you need?" Franziska brought her gloved hand up to her face and swept her bangs back into position. Silently, she scolded herself for being caught off guard.

Franziska’s surprise did not go unnoticed by Valenzia as she looked sternly over the top of her glasses at the young prosecutor. Still, there was a slight twinkle in her eye.

“I couldn’t help but notice the poor condition the detective left your company in whilst he was being accompanied by Prosecutor O’Keefe.” Valenzia suspected that this may not be the best approach to take, but nonetheless it rarely paid to skirt around the issue at hand. “I assume there was sufficient reason to draw blood?”

Although she disapproved of Franziska drawing blood, she couldn’t help but find herself slightly amused at her slightly childish outbursts. Still, she mentally prepared herself for what may come next. After all, she didn’t expect Franziska to take too kindly to being scolded.

Taken somewhat aback by the stark tone of Valenzia's voice, Franziska paused for a moment and studied her coworker. Although Valenzia was one of the few prosecutors that Franziska somewhat respected, it did not sit well to be questioned by her. What part did she play in this? Despite her aprehension, Franziska decided to answer anyway.

"The fool got what he deserved." If it wasn't for the detective's incompetence, Franziska would already have met with her witness. She glanced down at the her papers, but continued speaking. "The way he conducts himself is unacceptable, and if I am to work with him in the future, he needs to learn how to behave." In the end, Franziska felt no immediate need to justify herself to Valenzia. It wasn't any of her business.

((Perhaps Valenzia would like to make it her business? :phoenix: ^_^))

Floyd was slightly taken aback at the prosecutor's sudden concern. "Um, I didn't even know I was injured-" he looked at his arm quickly. It was bleeding. "Actually, thank you." He followed Kara to her office.

"I'm sorry for the trouble," he said with a half-attempted grin.

((Sounds like a plan :godot: Do you mind if I PM you with an idea for the connection with Manfred?))

After having delivered her warning to Franziska, Valenzia decided to change tack a little. Her voice softened as she spoke.

"You should learn to control your temper. Not everyone is going to be so tolerable to the whip and one day that may land you in more trouble than you can handle."

As mature as Franziska was, she was still young and, how would she put it, foolish. Franziska was a prosecuting prodigy, no doubt about it, but her experiance of life was still limited, and it was this solitary fact that would get her into trouble. Or at least that was Valenzia's opinion.

Valenzia decided that she would have a word with Detective Ambrose, not only to find out what just happened, but he would be useful, she could use him to find out information about Prosecutor Axioms up and coming hearing. However, there was one more matter she wished to attend to first, and for this, would do something almost unprofessional.

"Franziska...." Valenzia almost NEVER addressed people by their first name, instead favouring to use their proper and professional titles. "I could be mistaken, but I am under the impression that you do not normally take that much anger out on a subordinate. For one thing, it is not usually possible to hear your whip on another floor, for another you rarely lose your composure to a degree that you are forced to regain it in front of another co-worker." This hadn't slipped Valenzia's notice either. "Is there something troubling you?"

Kara waved her hand dismissively, pointing to a chair and rummaging around in a desk drawer. Eventually, having swept through all the debris of paperwork and sheet music, Kara pulled out the first aid kit.

"It's no trouble, Detective Ambrose," she stated. "Now, here you are - are you capable of doing this yourself?"

Floyd accepted the first aid kit gratefully. "Yes, thanks." He opened it and took out a gauze strip and a cloth. He looked at them strangely for a moment, as if he had never seen them before. He cleared his throat and began applying the bandage to his arm and leg.

"I appreciate this, ma'am. It's just, back when I was serving in England, we would just rip our sleeves or pants. I'm not quite used to such... clean equipment." Floyd finished bandaging and gave Kara the kit back. "Anyway, thank you again. Ms. Von Karma just got a bit carried away, I guess. For good reason, though," he added quickly, on the off-chance she would tell Franziska he was being criticizing. For some reason, he could never trust these prosecutors, for some reason. They all were so tightly joined together that he was never sure they wouldn't tell eachother everything they saw subordinates doing.

((@Awsome_Cravat: By all means. ^_^ I'd like to hear your idea.))

"That is not something you need concern yourself with." Franziska was unamused with the direction the conversation had taken. She folded her arms and lowered her gaze. Since when where her and Valenzia on a first name basis, anyways? Not once before had Franziska seen Valenzia act so causal with any one of their other co-workers. . . why was she the exception?

She decided to ask Valenzia bluntly. "What are you hoping to accomplish by asking me these questions?"

((Franziska is putting up a wall; it's a defense mechanism. Valenzia just needs to break it down.))
((@All: JSYK, I don't plan on RPing Franziska's meeting with her "witness". The actual conversation that they would have is irrelevant to this RP, and I only plan on RPing the scenes before and after.))
