This is not an official trailer right? The video is of poor quality, so I couldn't see much.
The set is gorgeous, I can't ask for more.
Phoenix's hair.... made me laugh. Maya's hair is too short, it should cover her eyebrows... but that's just me being nitpicky.
Aside from Phoenix, Maya, Mia and Edgeworth, I spy Manfred (he really looks evil), Lotta (the hair is so obvious), Larry (he's crying in the video methinks), Dee Vasques (the angry woman, she appears in a split second), Gumshoe (judging from the green coat, but he looks thin).
I hope we get an official trailer soon. One that is clearer.
And, uh... did anyone see the movie release date? Is it 2nd November 2012 or 11th February 2012?

Live action movies based on game will always fail. And sadly, Ace Attorney is not going to be the exception.
I hated the way Nick looks here and goes for the other pictures too :(
Seriously, an anime movie would have been a thousand times better and more "game-like" if you know what I mean.

Yeah, with an animated movie they would've been able to keep it closer in style to the game, and it would've been easier to do whatever exactly they wanted to do.
Also, while video game movies don't have a good record... look at the video games that were converted... Mario and Street Fighter. Neither had very realistic settings, and the plot was there just as an excuse to have the gameplay. But in Phoenix Wright, the story is the main thing; in a sense, it's like adapting a book into a movie.
Maybe it will fail like all the other live action video game movies, but I think this has a better shot at succeeding.
Also, I'm happy that we're getting a movie at all~
(Those costumes! *_* Yes, Nick looks ridiculous but... that's pretty much what he looks like in-game xD)

So there's definitely Nick, Maya, Mia, Edgey, Manny, Larry, Lotta, and Dee. And they all look as crazy as they do in the game xD I think that guy in the green jacket is Gumshoe. The blue badger is also in there! ;D With the boat, that's definitely 1-4. The lamp breaking is most probably 1-2 (especially since we see Maya channeling Mia). But there were a few shots with Mia in it... I wonder if she does a bit more before dying than in the games? Also, there was a shot that looked like the channeling chamber in 2-2... :o
Also, that evidence is system is completely over-the-top... but I think it looks great xD Much less boring than just picking up the evidence ;P

... or rather, Japan getting this movie early. These are some things I noticed, aside from the obvious...
0:31= Gumshoe (?) looks cute.
0:35 = What is that thing in front of Edgey?
0:45 = Who are those kids?
1:20 = Who is that? He doesn't look like Gregory.
1:07 = Mia's office looks so cramped...
1:23 = Love the special effect. Phoenix's face is weird though.
The new evidence system looks interesting. You can literally shove evidences to people's face. Maybe that's why the courtroom is so dark; to make sure people see them.
So far the only characters I really like are Mia, Dee and Larry. The others don't really turn out like what I imagined, but this is only my opinion at first glance.
By the way, can someone translate what it says in this picture? It looks like some sort of personality indicator.

a) The older child looks like a boy. But they're wearing the magatama, so you're probably right. Maybe this is some flashback about how Misty left them two together?
b) The person lying on the floor. At first I thought it was Gregory, but upon closer inspection it seems unlikely, since he's sprawled on the floor like that and there are many objects by him, it couldn't be in the elevator. I doubt that's Mia either, since the person is wearing white clothing, unlike Mia who wears her black suit at the time of her death (like seen in 1:11).
c) I admit I don't fancy that idea either, but it actually look pretty cool.

I hope everyone complaining about this movie here realises they are not the target audience, and the designers are not going to be interested in what they think. We have a live action movie because it's much more profitable in Japan to make that than an anime would be, and whining about it won't do anything; this is made for Japanese audiences specifically. In fact all this complaining about it is going to start sending a message that it's not worth the effort of releasing it internationally. :/
I'm getting a little tired of seeing this kind of thing across the Internet so I apologise for my direct tone on this one, but please keep in mind what a product's target audience actually is before you find yourself yelling at the sky or a brick wall.

Does that really count as sci-fi...?
It's just a workaround to adapt it to the games, where they have these floating boxes with the evidence... just like they have floating boxes with the evidence in the games :P (I'm assuming that they're going to shout "KURAE!" every time they launch one of them at the witness or opposing attorney xD)It would be exactly the same if they just had pictures of each piece of evidence, but it would just be... more boring.

Maybe that's the "original case"? :o We've gotten quite a few scenes from 1-4 (the bullet, the boat, Larry, Lotta, Manfred) and from 1-2 (Maya being sad, facing off Edgey in court, channeling Mia, Mia dying, the vase), but the only scene from 1-3 is Dee... Maybe they're replacing 1-3 with an original case, but just keep Dee (and maybe some other characters)?

Also lol'd at trying to make Maya more mature here with the fur coat. I think my only gripe with costumes at all (because I love them all), is that Maya's bangs are too short.
I mean anyone really close to the first game remembering things can easily pin point the specifics you see quickly going by the frames. People like Dee Vasquez and the implications of Gregory and Yogi near the end.

Despite being Asian myself, I literally think that a lot of them look very similar to many people I know. Although I'm Chinese and the majority of those actors are probably Japanese but still. I mean, Manfred Von Karma in there looks just like my grandfather and I imagine that would make it hard for me to take him seriously...

The first snapshot is quite interesting. I wonder if this is the new case victim. As for the other two, nothing caught my attention, except for something that vaguely looks like the judge's shiny head in the second snapshot.

Edgey looks great though. Maya's hair looks a bit odd.. IMO.
Are they saying T&T is being sold at a cut price? Those pictures on the game box were used in the US art for T&T.
That's cool that the movie's plot is an original case though and isnt just the same as 1-4! :o
