It's real, folks. Platform and plot of the game were not announced.
Also announced was "Gyakuten Saiban 123HD", for iOS (iPhone 3GS/4/4S, iPod Touch 3rd/4th, iPad/iPad 2). Andrisang reports that the games will also be coming to Android at some point.
I will be away until May 22nd, and then with limited internet until the 27th.

The only thing we've got is a new logo. And don't get me wrong, that is a pretty RAD looking five right there. This pretty much means that as of now, there is a team working on the next game in the main series, which is good news, if a bit anti-climactic.
If I may contribute some Wild Mass Guessing for a second, the style of the logo, and it being red seems to imply a return of Apollo, as red factored heavily into his character color scheme, and the box-art/text on the Apollo Justice case. I remember Capcom acknowledging that some people were disappointed by the story in the fourth game, but the logo reaffirms, at least to me, that they're sticking to their guns and continuing chronologically.
In fact, this new game might have a much larger focus on Apollo, as Gyakuten Saiban 4 was still Phoenix's story with a Ishmael main character. Capcom should take this opportunity to explore more of Apollo's character and back story. Please God, any back story.
Anyway, that's pretty much all I felt. A glimmer of hope buried underneath uneasiness and a little bit of too-little-too-late syndrome; which will pass as details begin to emerge.
Also as much as I'd like a updated re-release of the original games, some of that art looks way too ick. Especially Maya's chin.

The 5 is RED.
But so is the 10 in the 10th anniversary logo.
It's the reverse colour scheme of the GS4 logo, which had red text and a blue 4. But the beaming light thing (what is that anyway?) is back in the default GS/GK place, unlike GS4.
I don't think red refers to Edgeworth, he gets the magenta/pink tones.
Of course, it's all pretty meaningless, but when this is all we have to go on....
They probably just made a nice, generic logo, since they didn't say anything about actual production status, did they?I wish I could've gotten these.

Those screenshots are from the Ace Attorney 123 iOS collection. Those were also announced at the event. Looks like re-releases with redone graphics.

I PRAY that it's about Apollo. I HATE retconns with deep passion, despite all flaws GS4 may have had so I'd rather have them correct it WITH Apollo than WITHOUT him. Also, I wanna see Trucy falling victim to the "Assistant Girl gets screwed hard" patern. Just like Maya, Ema and Kay.
Also, there no being character shioulette so far could hint at my old theory of Apollo currently being redesigned. If they don't show him yet, could that mean that he, for example. let his hair grow out or something?

That's just the Attorney badge, no? As in the old games, for when Ema first teaches you how to examine things.
I imagine they'll at least remove some of the typos, but other than that I suspect they will be the same.

think the drawings look really great, if they are re-releasing the first 3 games (in english) with this new artwork i might be a sucker and buy 'em
curious as to when the game will be set... i want apollo in it as well and to see what happens with maya/phoenix after he lost his badge! she looks sad in that shot in the office...perhaps that was when he had lost everything and was cleaning out the office?
or (more likely) she's yet again been accused of murder ahahaCAN'T WAIT!!..wonder how many times i'll have re-played all the games before i get to play this one

- All the main series DS games are being remade with TGS level graphics on iOS... except one. Hmm...
- Who was it that made it into Marvel vs Capcom, and almost TvC?
- Lately Phoenix and Edgeworth have been front and center in Capcom's marketing. With Apollo an afterthought, if that.
