*shrugs* There's a bunch of shounen-ai and shoujo-ai games out in Japan. It's not that big a deal over there. Plus, I've played other games that have had blatantly gay characters in it, and it's not like the games were shunned because "OMG THERE'S A GAY CHARACTER IN IT."

My theories:
Bisexual. In that "I love people, not genders" way, where he just falls for whoever he falls for. I think given his trust being betrayed so severely previously, though, I don't think he goes falling for people that often. Predominantly asexual, with occasional moments of intimacy with, and affection for others... who tend to happen to be male. Bisexual.
Heterosexual for the most part. Heterosexual. Or hasn't had any interest in girls yet.
Bi, and completely chill about it. He likes flirting and attention, whoever it's from. (And I see him as being completely monogamous when he falls for someone, btw.) Asexual. I don't think she can connect with people, and yet she seems aware that looking sexually appealing can be a useful weapon. Bisexual. Hello, glamorous rock star. (Velvet Goldmine, anyone?) Heterosexual. Bi, but like Godot, very much into whoever he's into at the time. Gay. Straight... but not adverse to experimentation. Almost asexual through having standards so high as to not be interested in anyone not as perfect as her. But with a bit of a slight interest in the ladies. Gay. Asexual, but definitely interested in utilising sex as a means of having power and control over other people. Who mostly happen to be male.

And... to the last poster, didn't some of Kinsey's studies show that most people are to some degree bisexual, that extremely straight and extremely gay people are actually a minority? I suppose Richard Wellington could pass for being gay. I honestly thought Ron DeLite was gay until it was revealed he had a wife. I think Jacques Portman was probably gay.
Adrian Andrews is most likely bi, given her co-dependency issues.
Edgeworth seems to be more asexual than anything as he's never really shown affection for either gender. Same with Franziska. Though Manfred was obviously married once (or at had sexual relations) so maybe they're just good at hiding their feelings.

Oh, I don't agree that Adrian's co-dependency makes her bi/lesbian. She could be, but it isn't a good enough reason in my opinion. More evidence is needed.
