Spoiler: Scans
This week's Famitsu formally introduces Apollo, specifically calling him and Phoenix out as "double Protagonists". While Phoenix heads up the trials in Kurain, Apollo takes charge of the ones back in Japanifornia. Also shown off is Gaspen Payne, who was chased out of Japanifornia's legal profession after AA5 and has set up shop as an 'undefeated' prosecutor in Kurain. That's not so hard when there are no defense attorneys...!
The remainder of the article is just reviewing the Spirit Vision system, which was shown at TGS. Our next batch of info will probably be in December, come Jump Festa time. Until then, expect Apollo, Payne, and Leifa's new art to show up on the AA6 site soon!

Remember that Apollo said someone from his past in the trailer. It could be the Gavins..but i doubt it. Maybe more past...like Apollo's friend from Orphanage.

If it were one of those two, then I'd hope the last case is in Japan, because that's usually when prosecutors from previous games return.

It looks to be more and more likely the bait at the end of the TGS trailer was just a heads-up from Capcom, and Apollo has only indirectly heard of this new prosecutor, one that will be facing off against Phoenix. All the more reason for him to just refer to "that person" using "aitsu" (though he says the same to just about anyone he isn't talking with directly).
Besides, I really can't see that new prosecutor as anyone from Japan. The butterfly circling him/her is characteristic of Kurain, and who better than a monk/nun to step up to the bench in a country that's rich in spirituality?
However, believing that Winston Payne might make a cameo at some point is delightful...

However, there's something about these two being in different locations that intrigues me. Here's a theory of mine: the final case will be linked between both the Kingdom of Kurain and Japanifornia, and Nick and Polly will be solving the case together/simultaneously by cross-examining witnesses and gathering evidence from both locations! How's that?

That's a great question actually, but since he is going to be back in Japanifornia, does that mean Trucy will be his assistant again? I really hope she too has a bigger role in this game instead of being in the background.

I love the fact that this game will be Apollo's first ever physical encounter with the mysticism that Phoenix is so used to(due to the Fey Clan), and potentially Trucy's first experience too.
Going to relish witnessing his reaction to it all.

As for Klavier, I wouldn't mind him coming back without any more character development, (after all, they were perfectly happy doing that in DD). As long as the new prosecutor is fully formed and interesting that's enough for me. Although, it might be cool if he was somehow the prosecutor in both Japanifornia and Kurain at the same time, in some mysterious way that isn;t explained until the final case, and has something to do with the final murderer? I'm just spit balling here.
Anyway, Payne is rocking that crown.

Weren't both of them presented as 'untouchable' villains? And Matt didn't use international borders or anything like that to commit a murder - he didn't commit a murder, plain and simple. Hiring someone to kill someone for you is not committing murder. And, if anything, Matt was a whiny little boy who liked to play big gun. (Like Kristoph, including the petty reason for going far)

Frankly, this is the focus of what I am looking forward to in every new game. How will the team top their last terribly annoying character?
