While it's more practical to just hit the x button, or the l trigger for the hold its, there's something satisfying about using your own voice to bring down the killers. Or it could just be a gimmick to show off the DS mic.

I used to do it for every "objection" "hold it" and "take that", and it felt satisfying to do, but it got a little tiring to shout "hold it" so often, I keep it to the other two now. I do know many who'll play AA games in silence, and that's fine. Sometimes the mic'll have trouble picking up your words, and it can be an annoyance.

How often does everyone else use it?

Not really.
1: I'm not sure if this is only a thing with my 3DS and DS but my mics never seem to work, the only time i can get it to respond is when i'm doing the forensic minigames.

2: I tend to play these games in public areas and i don't want people to give me weird looks while i yell thing at my console.

No, I use the stylus. I'd find it too awkward, alone or not. I tried it once but I had to shout three times before it registered.

I played the first two and a half cases of Apollo Justice whilst on holiday. It was weird enough blowing into the mic in the presence of my parents without literally shouting objection or hold it.

I've tried it once or twice since then but as I played the other games on iPad I didn't have that function and as such it's not something that really occurs to me to do even on my own.

If I could perfect my own objection style... maybe? But often I play games after other people have gone to bed so again it isn't practical.

TL;DR: It's a fun gimmick but I don't really use it myself.

I sometimes use it for that one final objection before the credits. To make it more special, I guess. And because I always feel like the game really wants me do it.

I use it every once and a while if I know I'm alone. I think it's a fun little edition.
I was trying to think of a question while I was objecting, I didn't

If I'm alone in my room or something, I do. XD My folks can hear me across the house. It may take a few times for the mic to catch what I say, but it just helps me get some frustration out. The prosecution gets under my skin so easily...

No... to be honest, I only used it to blow the fingerprint powder, and the final "Objection!" from the end of the games :phoenix:

I am too ashamed to do it. Even when I'm alone, I'm afraid the neighbors might hear me or something...
I do like doing it, though. Has that extra immersion. I've just not done it more than once

It would be extremely embarrassing for me. I mean, I even refuse to play AA without earphones when I'm not alone in my room, so in my case, the mic question answers itself, and another reason is the mic not always reacting. Though... You now, if I knew that nobody was listening, I would do it, maybe. :will:

I love using the mic, although often on my old DS at least it didn't pick up and so I'd have to press X, because yelling objection multiple times just to object once starts to lose its appeal. haha But unless I'm in public or my roommate/family is trying to sleep, I always do it. I don't know; I just think it's fun.

I'm literally the same. I also yelled "OBJECTION!" as I pointed.

I typically don't since I already get enough looks when blowing into the mic for the forensics segments or while playing other games. Even when I'm on my own, it feels a little awkward to say out loud.

Though my friend and I did discover that you can shout "erection" into the mic and the game takes it as an "objection".
I... feel foolish.

I mean, you could also scream loudly into the microphone, and the game would take it as "objection". Any microphone activity whatsoever works.
