..And that's all for this round of Heal/Hurt, folks! Now, give it up for our winner...Glen Elg!

Image

...Oops. Never mind.

Anyway, that was pretty fun, with a pretty unexpected winner. I enjoyed hosting this game and playing around with the rules a little, especially the bias mechanic (though I'm unsure how much it exactly added to the game). First was Red group, then yellow, then orange, and finally green! ...Maybe we should have a Hall of Fame for these games or something. That's be pretty cool.

Anyone can offer to host the next game if they wish, but for now, it's all over! WHOOOOOOOOPPPP! :edgey: I'll be leaving the OP as it is below for convenience's sake (it's easily copy-pastable after all)!

Anyway, thank you and good night!

Spoiler: Original Post+Rules
Welcome to the next installment of the Heal/Hurt saga. This time, our cast of characters are from Trials and Tribulations, the third game in the Ace Attorney series featuring characters who have not made their debut in a previous Heal/Hurt game. The rules are as following, any updated rules from the previous game are highlighted in bold:

1. You have three points to distribute in each move. You may use those points in any of the following ways:
•Do 2 HP of damage to one character.
•Do 1 HP of damage to one character.
•Do 1 HP of damage each to two characters.
•Do 1 HP of damage to one character and heal another character by 1 HP.
•Do 2 HP of damage to one character and heal another character by 1 HP.
•Do 1 HP of damage each to two characters and heal another character by 1 HP
•Do 1 HP of damage to one character and heal another character by 2 HP.
•Do 1 HP of damage to one character and heal another two characters by 1 HP each
•Heal one character by 1 HP.
•Heal two characters by 1 HP each.
•Heal one character by 2 HP.
•All three points cannot be used for all hurting or all healing at once. An attempt tο use all 3 points for one action at a time will have one point discounted.

2. When a character runs out of HP, they are dead and can no longer be healed. The game ends when there is only one character remaining, who is declared the winner of the game. However, if you would like, you can still finish off the winner to eliminate all characters.

3. The current HP Cap is 40.With each death, the HP Cap will decrease by a certain amount. This amount depends upon the colour of the character killed. The respective colours are, in increasing order:
Green= by 1 HP
Yellow= by 2 HP
Orange= by 3 HP
Red= by 4 HP
The colour of a character (and thereby the number of HP decreased when dead) will depend upon their importance in the game. For example, the victims and minor characters are green, whereas the more important characters and killers are red. This is done to encourage removal of the more important characters to decrease the HP Cap.

4. No one may be healed beyond the HP Cap. However, anyone already at maximum HP when the HP Cap decreases will not have their HP reduced. So, for example, anyone at 40 HP when the first death happens will still be at 40 HP after the HP Cap is reduced. They just won’t be able to be healed past the reduced HP Cap the next time they take damage.

5. You may make a maximum of 7 moves per day.
•This is to prevent people with a lot of free time (and/or a job that gives them easy access to the Internet and time to post) from disproportionately impacting the game. It also hinders efforts to take out a single character before anyone can mount a proper defense (i. e. when most of the defenders are asleep or otherwise unable to post).
•Since time zones are a thing, numbering your moves would help protect against accusations of taking extra moves, but you’re not obligated to do so. Moves do not carry over if you fail to use them, so if you go a day without moving, you won’t have twice as many moves the following day.
You cannot change your move(s) if they are/it isn't the latest move in the thread. The only exception to this is when the move breaks a rule, in which case it would be accepted to only rectify it, without changing the target.

6. You may only make a move if the previous move was not made by you. However, you may make such a move only in the case when there have been no new moves in the past 12 hours.

7. Your moves must each be at least 40 minutes apart. This rule and the previous one are both meant to ensure there is an opportunity for at least one other player to respond to a move you make before you can move again.

8. When a character's HP Cap reaches 0, you may write a death scene for them. Double deaths are also possible, however, so take that into mind when writing one.

9. If someone requests a merciful death scene for a particular character, please make it so. We're already being sadistic enough by playing this game.

10. Any changes to the rules do not take effect until 24 hours after the change has been announced.

Now, for our unfortunate participants, from green to red:

HP Cap: 40

1. Doug Swallow-40
2. Kane Bullard-40
3. Judge's Canadian Brother-40
4. Glen Elg-40
5. Bruto Cadaverini-40
6. Lisa Basil-40
7. Adam Mada-40
8. Desirée DeLite-40
9. Victor Kudo-40
10. Jean Armstrong-40
11. Ron DeLite-40
12. Terry Fawles-40
13. Bikini-40
14. Dahlia Hawthorne-40
15. Furio Tigre-40
16. Viola Cadaverini-40
17. Iris-40

Yeah, this stuff may be a little confusing at first. Be sure to include the respective colours of each character when quoting the current list and all. If my calculations are correct, then by the time the winner is announced, the HP Cap will be from 3-6, or 2 if the winner is killed immediately. That's why the HP Cap is 40 again. Who knows, maybe there could be 2 winners this time!

Once again, apologies if this stuff doesn't make much sense. Feel free to voice your objections below and I'll see if I can change anything. It was a bit tricky giving all these characters the HP Cap 'decrease' I felt was needed when they died while still maintaining an equilibrium with the actual HP Cap. I also wanted to make this a bit longer seeing as how they're only 17 characters this time.

Also, sorry if this was a bit sudden, seeing as how the last round ended about 6-8 hours ago. But I'm just thirsty for more Heal/Hurt juiciness, so here we are.

Well, that's enough rambling on my part. Let's start the show! I'll post after a few others have first.

:gant-jazz:

I feel like introducing bias is counter to the purpose of the game.

Also...

No. Don't do something that might discourage people from playing.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Bruto and the canadian judge, I am stupid. Ah well, this character list might give me LSD, so I better trim down the colors.

Considering the cast is really small this time around, I don't see it as a big deal.

Fixed.

Honestly, I was originally going to make it so that the HP Cap would decrease by two per person. For now though I'm just going to stick with the bias thing and see where it goes.

You also forgot Adam Mada D:

Actually, I didn't consider the last part. Should I just go with some numbers next to the respective characters, or should I put an epilepsy warning at the start?

Think Dahlia will die by tomorrow if we two keep going at it.
Have you informed everybody else about the new H/H? Just confirming.

Okay then. Should we wait until the others get here? It'd be kinda unfair (and lonely) to keep H/H-ing until they find out...

Villains gotta do what villains gotta do. She may not be amazing, but she left a pretty good impact. I'd defend her, but I won't fight a battle I know I can't win unless it's my only option.
