Another week, another batch of DGS2 promotional news! First off, the conclusion of the DGS1 recap series, which (briefly) revisits DGS1-4 but is more interested in answering once and for all who brained Ryuunosuke with that fire extinguisher!

On top of that, Capcom has revealed the jacket art for the DGS2 LE's pack-in CD - a reading of Soseki's "London Tower" by the main cast with brief skits before and after. In addition to that pretty wonderful art, Capcom put up a sample of the CD, which is absolutely worth a listen even if you don't speak Japanese, if only for the spectacle of Ryuunosuke leading the group in a rousing chorus of "London Bridge is Falling Down" - in English.

Bolt, are you gonna be translating them both? If so, I think I'm gonna listen to the chorus a third time.

Probably not any time soon - IRL's been really busy the past few weeks.

Sorry for the delay, everyone! I finally found time to translate the Recap Theater. I don't think I'll be translating the audio drama for a long time (at least until someone does share a copy), but in short, the CD sample is just about the gang getting excited to visit the London Tower and the ghost stories behind it... and singing.

Spoiler: Recap Theater Ep 4
DGS Recap Theater - 4

Holmes: Now, everyone. As you've all been waiting for, it is time we solve the mystery.
Henceforth, we'll hit the spot in this hidden puzzle.
By which I mean, we'll reveal the identity of this fearsome "true culprit".

Naruhodo: Um, Mr. Holmes...
You showed up because you know who really is the culprit, right?

Susato: Well, from last time...
"The culprit is one among us!" as he announced proudly.

Holmes: Ah, you see, that was simply a "prediction".
As if to say, "I'll make it up that the culprit behind the case is among us."

Naruhodo: Isn't that "framing" someone!?

Holmes: Well, everyone! Let us begin the deductions!
First, we'll look back over Mr. Naruhodo's 4th case!

Iris: Hmm. This sudden turn of events seems pretty suspicious...

~ Episode 4: The Adventure of the Clouded Kokoro ~
[Introduction of Souseki Natsume]

Holmes: This Japanese man makes some rather strange motions. Is this what they refer to as "Japanese dance"?

Susato: Well, it is quite like a certain kind of "kabuki".
And this is the scene where we meet Mr. Holmes again.

Naruhodo: But he doesn't seem to remember us at all...

...*twitch*...

Susato: Have you remembered something, Naruhodou-sama?

Naruhodo: ...N-no. I still feel a little dizzy...

Holmes: ...I see. So that's how it is.

Susato: That deposition full of confidence... Mr. Holmes, you don't mean!

Iris: Have you figured it out?

Holmes: Allow me to show you...
Sherlock Holmes' "Logic and Reasoning Experimental Theater"!
First up is you, Mr. Naruhodo!

Naruhodo: Huh!? M-me?

Holmes: At first glance, this intriguing "dizziness" of yours doesn't seem to have anything to do with this case.
Yet, if we concern ourselves within this scene's context, looking further ahead, it becomes a very important clue.

Naruhodo: ...Now it's "meta-reasoning", all of a sudden.

Holmes: So, the very important clue that Mr. Naruhodo has reacted to is...
without a doubt, this "red tea"! Therefore, the culprit is...

Iris: Ah.

Holmes: The tea-loving Iris Watson! It was you!

Iris: Whaaaaat!?
You big meanie, Holmesy! Why are you treating me like a criminal!?

Holmes: I don't want to believe it myself.
However! The truth can be harsh sometimes, Iris!

Naruhodo: OBJECTION!
...
(What is this feeling...?)
(I just shouted it out without thinking! ..."Objection"...)
(And in a loud voice from the depths of my gut, with my finger pointed!)
To Mr. Holmes' "indictment"...
As a defense attorney, I cannot let that pass!

Holmes: ...What do you mean by that?

Naruhodo: I remembered. ...All of it.
The thing I reacted to wasn't the tea...
It was the pipe.

Holmes: Eh?

Naruhodo: Mr. Holmes. You've made up that culprit from the very beginning.

Holmes: As if to say, "I'll make it up that the culprit behind the case is among us."

Naruhodo: And I'm sure of it. The silhouette of the person from my memory...
...had a pipe in his mouth.
In other words, the true culprit behind this case is...
Mr. Sherlock Holmes! It was you!

Holmes: ...
The victim has regained his memories... and even accused me as the culprit...
That's so unfaaaaaiiir!!

Naruhodo: ...Huh?

All: Waaaaaaaah!!

Naruhodo: ...W-what a terrible dream...

Holmes: Oh, you've awakened at last, Mr. Naruhodo.

Naruhodo: Oh, Mr. Holmes.
U-um... what's with that "weapon"?

Holmes: Oh, this thing? It's a "tool for regaining memories".

Naruhodo: ...Uh, okay.

Holmes: Before long, a new story is set to begin, and yet here you are...
Passing every day with that ignorantly blissful look on your face.
I just figured using this would be able to stimulate memories of your grand adventures.
It took me quite some time to locate this tool I made long ago.
...Good grief... I've finally found it...
...For a moment there, I thought I was in trouble.

Naruhodo: ...Thanks to that, my head is still spinning.

Holmes: ...Hm. Looks like I haven't struck enough.

Naruhodo: Eh?

Holmes: I earnestly wish to revitalize you into your active role.
It's nothing personal... Mr. Attorney.

Naruhodo: W-wait! Mr. Holmes? Why are you making that face!?
W... waaaaaaahhhh!!

Holmes: As I thought, people's memories are rather difficult things to handle.
But, rest assured, everyone who is watching. There's no need to worry.

If you get the limited edition Dai Gyakuten Saiban 1&2 bundle pack, you'll be able to experience our great adventures for yourself! Please consider a purchase!

Holmes: That is all. This has been Sherlock Holmes.

Naruhodo: Um, so after all that... may I say one more thing?

Holmes: We don't have much time, so shorten it.

Naruhodo: ...Alright, I'll shorten it.
OBJECTION!

- THE END -

It's not an audio drama, but a reading of the story, so you can just find the text of the story (it's available in public domain) and translate that if you're really eager (though there are already English translations available of the story).

(Edit: Oh, wait, I guess you meant the extra skit parts, not the main reading part).
