"I was suspicious of Howard since a while back, and have been open in that belief," Pétur said wearily. He didn't seem to have taken well to the lynching, despite having willingly participated. "Clearly I was wrong, but... if it was a choice between him and Forsythia, it was always going to be him, for me."

"An investigation of your own, Forsythia?" he then queried, raising an eyebrow slightly. "I was actually about to ask, what your deal was, what it was you could do if you weren't Coven. All Cooper's talk about keeping our skills private, but now it sounds to me like folk will need to talk more about themselves if they want to avoid suspicion. You're a clever woman; everything you said before could well be to mislead us."

Xander came out of his home, looking rather exhausted. However, something was different about him--his hair was not covering one of his eyes. Rather, his bangs were swept to the side, and both of his eyes were now visible. One was the blue that everyone knew of, but the other eye was colored a bright, odd gold. It decidedly did not look natural.

Xander placed a rose on Howard's grave with a sigh. "Rest in peace, Howard," he stated plainly before standing up and going to the others, looking at Forsythia. "Your own investigation? Do you care to go into detail, or...?"

The morning after the fourth Blood Moon, two people appear to be missing...those being Avis and Vaughan.

The townspeople find Avis dead on her black blood-stained floor, her skin a wicked green and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. It seems as if she had been cursed in the same way as the other late townspeople.
Meanwhile, some of the other townspeople find the corpse of Vaughan lying in the entrance hall of his house, a gunshot wound to his chest and some of the strange powder sprinkled on his face.

After discovering the horrific corpses of their neighbors, the residents of Moonview quickly rush over to the town square to see if anything new had been added to the black book:

Avis Rosco, the Ranger, died last night. She was attacked by a member of the Coven.

"Having been raised by her father and her uncle, both of whom were rangers themselves, Avis took everything extremely seriously and never gave up easily. She was overly-determined to the point where she would even putt off meals and sleep to achieve her goals."

Cooper looked at Avis' corpse solemnly, tears barely glistening in his eyes. He took off his hat and held it over his chest like he had for the others, but only stood silent for a moment before putting it back on.

He walked over to Xander first and extended his hand. It seemed he was expecting him to shake it.

Cooper smiled, slapping Xander amicably across the back before turning to the others.

"It's best to wait to hear what the others have to say. But the final Coven are probably Petúr and Amory. It's definitely possible we're being manipulated, but I think the best strategy for this round is to not get into our own heads too much. Go with what's most likely."

He turned to Petúr. "And if you're not a witch, which is possible, then one of them is Xander or Esther. That's the information Avis died getting for us. Who do you think is more likely of the two?"

We've said before that Amory and Forsythia both seem too obvious to be witches, and Xander's claim gives them a run for their money. A Coven openly admitting to being a witch? I can't buy that."

Forsythia gets up from her spot kneeling hear the corpse. Today she doesn't have the hat on, just a thick black veil, obscuring most of her face.

"Poor Avis... she was my last neighbor... We didn't always get along, but I could tell she had a good heart..."

She wanders over to where the others are, but purposefully takes a wide route, holding her hands beside her back.

"Well! I have news! Keeheehee!"

"Last night was a very special night, because I caught someone entering Avis's house in my obuculum! I was just cleaning all my treasured possessions as usual, and I saw it lying there, and I just decided, well why not scry somebody?! So that went well indeed."

"We can also deduce the other witch, who I'm inclined to think is Petúr, but I think it's a good idea to go with the 'best bet'. Amory sighed and slowly brought his hand to his forehead. He traced downwards with his fingers, stopping at his mask, before grabbing it gently. Nudging at it, he began to lift it ever so slowly outwards.

He left his mask on and pointed at the tome.

"If you really wanna know...I'm responsible for the tome. I'm able to discern the hidden secrets of the dead...including William and his sultry incubus abilities."

Amory tilted his head. "...When someone dies, I can feel it, ya know. If it wasn't for this mask, I think I'd sense dead everywhere...and then I'd go reeeally crazy, huh...so what Forsythia saw was me visiting the dead and preparing to enter their information into the tome."

He sighed and spat in a nearby spittoon. "You also could've told me this before the blood moon. You know I nearly shot you instead of Vaughan? Changed my mind at the last minute. You could just as easily be dead right now."

Cooper then turned his attention from Amory and towards the others. "Well? I think his story stinks, and he could just as easily be a witch. But... I do admit I can't really think of a reason he'd visit Vaughan if he were a witch too. It's probably best we don't rush this. Let's view this with an open mind."

The next morning, yet another trial begins. Only two members of the Coven remain...What will the town do?

"Well... I kind of think Amory is a better suspect than Petur. But I'm not too opposed either way. Esther not speaking is weird, but maybe she had a hex put on her. I don't have any reason to doubt her yet, and I'd go as far to say it's more likely the witch is Xander or Petur than her."
