I have such a horrible case of bronchitis. Resting actually makes me feel worse and medicine, tea, and soup do not help. The only relief I get is continually blowing my nose and hacking my lungs out. I hate being sick.

I saw its digital poster for real in my local cinema and it felt totally surreal.

There's gotta be a madman at the head of Sonic team right now.

I just wished that directors just did their own ideas again, or rebooted movies we actually asked for. We didn't ask for a reboot of: Lion King, Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast, etc. We for damn sure didn't ask for them to do a Sonic the Hedgehog film either. Detective Pikachu is awful. Not even Ryan Reynolds could save it. I'll admit that Beauty and the Beast wasn't that awful, but it's something we didn't ask for. Oh, I also heard their doing The Little Mermaid.

Well, since Disney basically owns everything now, they probably don't care about tossing a few stinkers out there. As for me, I stopped expecting anything from them years ago when they started releasing the straight-to-video movie sequels that were mostly garbage. The number of live action films is getting ridiculous though.

I'm sure there's still nice content coming out I'll enjoy from Disney but they do seem to have cottoned on to a formula where the live action remakes are the way to go.

The last few animated they did were great though! It was what Wreck-it-Ralph? The Princess and the Frog? Tangled? They are all solid and new! And that's not considering how they've now got Pixar under their belt.

A few weeks ago, I went and browsed around Newgrounds again.

You know, I thought that its reputation can't still be as bad as it has been joked about before; being a cestpool of people that have the immaturity range of hormonal teenagers, subpar animations uploaded, and if you don't leave a 5 Star rating and comment whooping it up about even the most benign of things, you're a goddamn pariah.

I gave it another chance. Last time I was there was at least 5 years ago, or even longer. Things probably improved, the older members aged and maybe matured.

I was wrong.

Wreck It Ralph was good but it's sequel which recently released looks horrible. Its trailer played in the theatre previously in some movies I went to and everytime it did I died a little inside. It looks like the new Emoji Movie or something, Jesus.

My jaw dropped more at the fact that Newgrounds is still a thing, honestly XD Looking it up, it seems it's gotten some popularity after some Tumblr users went to it after the whole incident involving the website sometime back.

Oh huh, I never knew it had such a reputation. Granted, to me it's just that site I occasionally played flash games on back in Elementary school. I hear people mention how they also spent their childhoods on there, I guess things are never as good as you remember them.

I learned fairly quickly that when people are super immature in their youth online, they'll never grow out of it. There's a website that I made an account on again, after not being there for a few years, and the people that trolled in their teens are trolling in their late 20s, early 30s with the same dry, old, and now racist 'humor'.

I admit, my return there did result in finding three rather fun games, although one can say they are technically 'just' fun hentai games. But they tend to have a plot to it, and I spend more time doing things that do not involve the sexual interactions. But I think the reason Newgrounds never appeared that bad to me was because I barely commented on things last time I was there; I did not really expose myself to the 'community', so to speak.

Tumblr, you mean? Their app recently got removed from the app Store because of some, er, inappropriate content there. So they recently decided to remove all NSFW content from there which outraged a lot of people, thus making them move to Newgrounds. That's about it, really.

Somebody told me it's because of something involving ~~child pornography~~, so they decided to ban anything sex-related thus banning sex workers who used Tumblr to promote themselves. Then the whole "reporting sex workers to the IRS" thing happened too.
Tumblr put EVERY account on Safe Mode and you can't shut it off even if you're over 18. I'm basically banned from viewing my own blog at this point just because it has NSFW content. I can view my dashboard and reblog, but I can't view my actual blog anymore. I can still view my sfw cute pink girly blog though.

Whew, long day today. What was originally supposed to be just a trip to re-watch Into the Spider-verse turned into a full day family trip. We went into the mall, had some fun, went into some weird fish spa thing which I didn't do because it looked gross, then went to the beach and had lots of fun, got splashed on by the waves, then went to eat outside and finally returned home. Ended up taking about eight hours of today, amazingly enough. It was certainly quite a day! :redd:

Yeah bet it was quite a shock when they saw how much of their user base was kicked.

My work is getting increasingly draconian in its measures to track employee activity. Now we need to log the minutes we spend on any particular activity with a person in a folder before the end of the night. Seems pretty mad and I doubt its good for morale.

Oh, I did one of those when in a country close to SC-Land. It was... ticklish. Apparently, they were a big thing in the UK until they realized it was very unhygienic. Which makes sense considering those fish poop in the water and all. You dodged a bullet not doing that :p

Thankfully, I had a shower the same night I did the fish thing.

It's my abuelo's 78th birthday today! (Also Christmas Eve.) I miss him so much. I haven't seen my family since March and I unfortunately couldn't go see them this year for Christmas. It sucks, but I'm going to video chat with them later. It's not the same by any means but... it's better than just sitting here crying about it. I'm hoping I can see them within the next year. I miss my family. Living in another country is so hard, but I'm trying to make it work at least.

Kind of late but regarding the tumblr thing I doubt the userbase is the owner's concern. He probably has some kind of massive lawsuit or some legal matter against him. There's no reason he wouldn't take such drastic measures unless his ass was on the line for something. It's stupid the amount of content that's being removed even if it isn't explicit but if he's avoiding jail (which is extremely possible since there was literal underage porn on that site) I doubt he cares. Tumblr has probably made them a massive amount of money already so best to get out while he can.

This is just my speculation though, it's just what makes the most sense to me.
