She looked up at him, raising her head high and readjusting her monocle. “At this point, there is little we can do to avert your fate now... But rest assured, Vic. We will live on for you. We shall keep this memory of your final challenge in mind, and make sure it doesn’t go to waste. And...” She gave a look of disgust to Eve. “We shall make sure that thing doesn’t get away with what she’s done. This abomination of a ‘killing game’ shall not continue. We will not let what you have done go to waste. I promise you, Vic. From the bottom of my heart. For both you and Siri.” She nodded firmly, then gave a slight bow, or at least the closest she could get to one while being restrained.

Marshall spits, glowering contemptuously.

Althea was shaking. Half of it was shivering, the other half was a frantic struggle against the shackles.
"Why can't you just believe him?! He couldn't even have known Ms. Hall would be behind that door, why is that so hard to understand?!" she shrieked. "And, and, this is all her fault! Her! Her, her, her!" she stomped on the ground repeatedly like an angry child. Who she was accusing was more or less clear.
"She crashed the train! She made this game! She made this trial! It's all her fault! You should have voted for her!"

Vic took a moment to prepare himself to tell his tale.
"There once was a boy so bad at everything he did he wouldn't just fail he'd fail in ways you wouldn't think possible. He was born into a family known to be some of the most talented people around, he was a shadow to his brothers, and less then human to his parents. In his desperation for any attention he would challenge his brothers to anything and everything to show he existed. but he always lost, one day he stopped trying he couldn't go on any longer...all he could do was except himself as nothing...it was at that time one of his brothers challenged him instead baffling the boy. why would you wanna challenge me? He asked. his brother responded. "its cause you always push me to get better. Ya see without realizing it the boy had been improving at all the things he thought himself terrible at. from then on he not only tried hard, but even began winning... he even became an ultimate and had finally gotten the recognition he had wanted... or so he thought."
Vic took a breath.
"One day he overhead a conversation with his parents, he wasn't sure with who but one thing was revealed to him... it was all a lie... ya see back when I was younger I was in an accident, one they had planned. Needed head surgery for it and hadn't thought much of it but." Vic took of his headband revealing a scar across the right side of his head.
"Turns out they used it to plant a chip in my head they had been developing to analyse and and implant talents into people...it was a failure as it could only implant the talent temporarily and they kept me around as a guinea pig for the sake of there research...they still saw me as less then human and more importantly they had planned to remove it which would kill me... so I ran away and have have been on the road since."
"Just thought since its the end of the road for me I thought id give you all my story."

All the yelling, the accusations, the blood and sweat and tears that everyone shared, it hurt. It hurt to see, hurt to feel, hurt to ignore, hurt to share. As their teacher, he should be taking command! Giving words of encouragement, of hope!
But the words stuck in his throat. He glanced down, physically unable to speak, his levers untouched. It was all... just too much. Should he say something? Could he even say something? Would it even mean anything to those who needed it most, or would it just flop horribly all over again?
... Was this what the foul android wished to inflict? A feeling of not knowing what to say, thus nothing is said? A pervading lack of hope, of care, of understanding and desire? Because ic she did... it was working. On him, at least.
