This doesn't, however, change the due date for the Where Are They Now? contest: entries will still be accepted through the 10th and winners announced on the 12th. All the better for me getting the winners their free copies of the game in time!

This needs to be post in very, very, very big text all over the release date threads and the site. Hopefully those who delt with this during T&T will remember, but not everyone pre-ordered it and harassed Gamestop the morning of the release xD
This is important, and I suppose anyone that TRIES to go and buy it on the 19th will be a source of lulz. For those of you who didn't know the street date is the day AFTER the release date (meaning the stores wont sell it till the day AFTER the release date)... well now you know. Don't learn the hard way like most of us did

1. It silly to advertize the date that your gonna ship it out to the retailers, and not the date that you're able to shell out 30 bucks for the game. I actually work at a bookstore, and sometimes we'll advertize a book, and then it will get to us late from the publisher because the mail is slow or something. It always causes chaos, and people just get annoyed on both ends when customers try to get the book, and we have to tell them that it's not in yet after we just advertized the book as a special we were doing. To do that on purpose is just bad marketing, unless your doing a bait and switch which is still being a jerk.
2. This happened with T&T and it happened 2 days ago with the new Advance Wars game. I'll go out to gamestop or some place similar to go get the game the day it comes out, and they'll claim it's not released yet, and say it's just the ship date and all that garbage, when not more then 15 minutes before, I was talking to somebody online that was in the middle of playing the game. For the more recent one, one of them was in Oregon, and one was in Florida. But the real nail in the coffin was, not only did the walmart NEXT DOOR, not only have it in that day, but they had sold out of every copy they had.
It just aggrivates me to no end when stores try to pull off this kind of crap.

It's the CAPCOM-UNITY BLOG (even though it's LINKED by capcom)
And to prove it's not Capcom themselves, as a Wiki member pointed out, they wouldn't say "Capcom have announced" They wouldn't speak in third person.

Its helpful, but its not 100% accurate. For release dates, always check with the official sources. If Capcom says its the 19th, then thats when it is.
Its just one week, not that big of a deal anyway.
