Without knowing what the secret roles are, that means there's only three ways to eliminate him: Morgan puts a hit on him, the Mafia decide together to kill him if Morgan dies, or Edgeworth and Gumshoe work together to kill him (if I'm understanding Gumshoe's ability, anyway; does "arrest with a guarantee to die" count as "kill"?), and even then, they still need to find him.

The problem is that if I allow the players to vote him out of the game, he definitely will be screwed.
...However, you have brought up a huge oversight on my part. Manfred can't deal with the Godmother or any other unkillable player; his side has no voting power. >:O
Either I give him unblockable prosecutions or secret vote abilities. Which sounds better to you?

The downside is that you can't prove it's Karma, for example Yogi cannot be voted out either.
I've modified von Karma's role to cover his inability to kill players immune to nightly kills, which also makes Phoenix more likely to use his ability. See below:
Before you start panicking, Phoenix can intervene that evening and Don Tigre can block it with his protection ability and have the #2 player lynched instead, which would be the player everyone wanted voted out... unless everyone and von Karma want the same person to die, but that would be a waste of his ability. ;)
With that doozy of a change, I think the secret roles would be a very good idea, but I'll still leave that up to the vote. Rigging the votes and leaving the town powerless is a nasty ability, but if von Karma spams it, he'll be playing blind, which would not be very smart; not every player can be voted out, after all.
The Town is beginning to look royally underpowered now... I'm going to make another change.
i.e. A request is made on night 4 and goes through. The arrest is made at the end of night 6. This is significantly less efficient than the Mafia version, but allows the Town to continue to make nightly kills, albeit heavily delayed.
Incidentally, should people vote to arrest someone and one of the voters is killed during the two day wait, the arrest goes ahead anyway. The arrest is of course cancelled should the target be eliminated before they can be arrested. In the event that two groups of more than four people vote for different players to be arrested, the one with the highest number of votes will be arrested and the other arrest request will be refused.
EDIT: Editted von Karma's near-broken third ability to be disabled at the start of the game and cleared up the wording. In light of this, I'm also quietly editting one of the hidden roles to match, though this does not affect the reveal conditions for the role. If you can't work out what one of the hidden roles is by now, you need your head examined, and yes, it's staying hidden unless all the roles are revealed. ;)
One final note: most of the special roles will return some kind of false investigation result. Most of the roles that can be investigated properly are Townie roles. With this in mind, the powers of investigation this round are very heavily reduced, but not useless. As Franzise has stated many times, Mafia is a game meant to reward the most cunning players, and the roles have been designed to punish overly honest players accordingly.
If there are any further issues with the roles, please bring them up now, as well as whether you'd like some roles to remain secret or not, which is still up to vote. Once the roles are finalised and sorted out, I will finalise the game's rules to iron out any remaining possible weakpoints in the gameplay.

And on another note, I would have never even thought about this, but I've started to think that I'd like to pull my own Mafia round in the future. If I'm going to have time after my trip, I'll ask MSOB if I could make one then and if I don't have time then, it has to wait for the fall. I have some ideas in my mind...

Hmm... I don't know. You can always PM if you don't want players to know something. On the other hand, one of the advantages in dying and being resurrected is that you can read the dead thread and get valuable information.

I clicked on the other one, the number IV I think, by accident, and dispite being initially scared by the large bold post yelling at me, I became intrigued, and am now watching this. That is allowed yes? I just wondered, as it seemed like there was more banned than there was allowed, or maybe I was reading it wrong....
In any case, seems interesting, I havem't seen anything like this online before, so clearly I haven't been looking hard enough. ^_^

A little, but it's probably for the best.
