Just a question... is the interface gonna be more organized this time? In CM2, it did some WEIRD stuff, like automatically save whenever you changed it, deleted a bunch of stuff when you pressed delete, and stuff like that.

Also, wow, you're back! :edgy:

Something like that would be great!
I made a mistake with something and had to start all over because it had auto-saved... :sadshoe:

The interface will be far more simple and organized, yes. However, the actionlines will still auto-save whenever they're being changed. But I guess I could make an option for whenever to enable/disable that?

the development is going steady. Today I finish off the build feature. Now I only need to add all the functions, and this Case Maker is pretty much completed.
Still having a hard time finding a way to hex edit a new icon on an executable, and cutting down the exe load times.
My next goal is to make a colored text box system of some sort.
I'm thinking about making a button to toggle between DS/GBA mode, so that a, lets say, 1024x768 resolution wouldn't be stretched horribly.

I'm considering using this to make a tutorial case or demo for my project, Banjo: Ace Attorney. So I suppose I shall ask some questions.

1. Can music and sound clips be uploaded? If so, which formats can?
2. Can custom sprites and custom backgrounds be uploaded too?

I think that's all I can think of. Thanks.

Hmmm... I'd like to take a stab at this Casemaker when I get a Chance. But I'm totally clueless when it comes to Pragraming and coding and such, so I wonder if alot of that is envolved. (I'm a Caveman on the keyboard :will: )

I have a few more questions,
Right now you can only use .oog sound files for music in CM2. Will you be expanding that to any different sound types? Like MP3s? I have all the PW music as MP3 right now, so I would have to convert all of those to .oog. I have something to do that so it's not a big problem, just something that is kinda annoying.

Also, I think I figured out my sprite speed problem, CM2 reads how many layers there are, not what each layer's speed is. Will CM3 do this as well? I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to get my animations pre setup to work in CM and in other projects with minimal tweaking. I think I have it figured to doubling and tripling some of my layers.

If this is almost ready then I'll probably use this version instead of CM2 for Turnabout Cocoa.

MMF2 doesn't natively support MP3, so it might be a bit to ask for him to support it...
Although there are extensions that can do it.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with MB.

Old project called 'MFGG Ware' Mecha made that a few people didn't agree with for an old forum he visited. But I guess that's a bit irrelevant, and reaching back a bit.

Anyways this is great since I've been looking for a better version of Mecha's casemaker for a while now and it looks like my prayers have been answered.

Obviously CM3 will support custom music and sprites. As of formats, supported formats will be .ogg, .mp3, .wav and .wma. As for sprites, only .gifs will be supported for characters, yet character profiles, evidence and locations will have .bmp, .gif, .jpg and .png format support.

And I've just returned from a vacation, I'll be looking onto the Case Maker 3 again this minute.

This. Sounds. AWESOME!

Will the sprites speed be read by layers again, or will the sprites built in layer speeds work?
I use GIMP to make my sprites. You can set the speed for each layer but it seems to not read that way in GM2.

Unfortunately, as there are many ways a gif can be compressed, I'm unable to make sure what speed the sprites will run at. However, you can set the sprite speed in CM3 manually.

And thanks for the compliment.

OK. I won't have to worry about doing anything special with my sprites for this one.

Will this version have like the coloured text and the text alignments e.g make the location, time etc in the middle?

Could we add our own? I'm thinking of something like a folder (if there are still folders for each case) for fonts.

I don't think the default font should be changed. Unless you are gonna start it up from the whole scratch. Like, all made by yourself, then a new font would give it that 'yours' touch. =p

I'd say about 15%. I've got the main interface down and such, which is the hardest part. Making all the other functions is just gonna take time and not as much efford.

Made the saving feature. Now I only need to make a saving menu.

edit:
CM3 now supports 3D! And the lucky formats are: x, md2 and 3ds! Oh joy!
