I'm not sure if this message was meant to be mean-spirited - if it was, then it was quite uncalled for.
Either way, to adress your question: Yes - it took US three years to create an hour long video. (There were about a dozen contributors)
In short: Things happened, people couldn't get fulfill what they had promised to do and the project kind of stalled until I resurrected it.

I would also suggest not to make wild guesses, as they are often wrong

We do have a sarcasm command, and I would have used it if the situation called for it.

Forgive me for assuming 2007 resident like yourself knew this, next time I'll just ctrl-v and post "good job" without any heart in it.
