RPG Maker XP is required to play. You don't need to pay money or upgrade to the full version, you just need to install it: http://rapidshare.com/files/60792971/RP ... P.rar.html

Features:
- Includes the whole first case from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
- Win the trial by battling witnesses instead of presenting evidence.
- Explore the whole courthouse for the first time.
- Play through the first dungeon.
- Characters have all their expressions from the game.
- All of the music is taken from the original game.
- The story from the game is kept intact and most of the text is unchanged.

First of all, congrats on making a fangame. You have more pacience than I do :-P

Ive had a play through and I was a bit dissapointed. Youve taken away all the fun of being a lawyer and replaced it with pressing enter 50 or so times. Maybe if you made the correct evidence super effective for the right statements we could still have some sort of input on the legal side of things?

I think the system could work, but needs a little more tweeking to make it feel a bit more Lawyery. But overall a good first attempt and a good basis to work from. I look forward to seeing where you take this in the future.

Engarde's Shoe: Uh, sorry, I also posted this on a faster moving, non-PW forum, so I added the Objection to make the topic stand out a bit more. >_> And then I just copied and pasted it to here.

Cronogenesis: Removing all the lawyer stuff was the whole point of making this game. >_> I wanted to remove all of the lawyer stuff and replace it with RPG stuff. I know a lot of the battles in it were pretty simple, but that's only because it's the first case and I didn't have too many skills to work with. Phoenix will be able to use all the evidence from the other cases as skills, and Maya will learn more support spells when she gets higher than level 2. I couldn't give Phoenix more than 1 skill in case 1 because 3/5ths of the evidence are made of paper and wouldn't be good weapons in battle.

So I won't be making certain evidence super effective at certain statements, sorry. But I will try and make the battles more challenging, and some evidence will be super effective against a certain person (in all of their testimonies, not just one statement), such as
Spoiler: 1-3, 1-4
The photo of the accident could be strong against Vasquez, Metal detector could be strong against von Karma etc
but only if that evidence is effective against that person as a whole, not just a certain statement of their testimony.

Download RPGMaker (third link in the post), unzip it, and install it.
Then download the game using the first or second links, and open it. It'll extract into a new folder. Open that folder and click on the Game. exe file.

Well I played it and I have to say...

that the enemies were ridiculously overpowered compared to the party members. I'm lucky that I regain health with each battle, but my characters don't level up. Another thing, what's in the chests?

Did you play the whole demo? >_> Your characters do start to level up once you finish the courtroom battles.

And most people had no problems with the difficulty. You realize Mia has a heal skill, right? The battles are pretty easy if you make sure Mia is healing every turn.

And are you talking about the chests in the courtrooms or the defendant's lobby? The chests in the courtrooms contain armor. The chests in the lobby don't open...yet.

Cool. I have RPG Maker XP too.

Now lemme check this out..

EDIT: I really wished you used custom sprites(Green Mia is kind've freaking me out), and I wonder about spoiler issues if you continue doing different case games. This turnabout doesn't really count as a spoiler, so you're good here. Anyways, I had a lotta fun playing this game. It was like I started the case all over again, where I don't expect everything.

I'll work on getting custom sprites before the full version. (I'll probably ask for help on the sprites forum here) And this game is meant to be played by people that have already played the game, so there are no spoiler issues. If someone wants to play it when they haven't played the real game, then that's their decision and they'll get spoilers. But this game will have a lot of the text from the main game, so that person will still be going through the whole story like it is in the game.

Good job! I like it so far~

RPGXP, what a tricky little program DX I made a Fullmetal Alchemist RPG for it once. A fairly sucky one, but still. I made all the custom sprites, so if you'd like help with that, I'm more than willing to lend a hand :3

Examples:
Spoiler: FMA Sprites

Those sprites look great. I'd love it if you could make PW ones for my game, but...

I want all the sprites to be done in the same style. They all need to fit in together, so whoever I ask to make the sprites for this game would need to be willing to make ALL the sprites for every character (4 directions + walking, and a fallen down sprite) So it would be great if you could help out with that, but I wouldn't want you to make sprites for only case 1 and 2 characters or something and then I wouldn't be able to use them. >_>

But the full game won't be ready for a very long time, so you would have a lot of time to work on it.

Guess i'll download it again to see your game and to see if I can make anything new.
