Trust me, it's messed up. The government change what is the legal requirement like, every month, they decide that coursework is banned and tests are getting harder, and they decide to only grant free uni to clever people who have good attendance, even if bad attendance can't be avoided.

...sucks. XD

BC: Godot is one of my favorite characters as well, and my favorite color is blue. Like, you'll see that most of my signatures are blue because it's the most attractive color (to my eye). <3

I'm actually mostly done with the wallpaper, just a few finishing touches are needed. :) It looks nice so far; I applied the somewhat-finished version to my desktop to see how it would look.

Aww, I hope midterms went well. :)

Okami: Omg, love the name. >__>;
And thanks a bunch ^___^;;

Nadindi: Err, that does sound messed up. Free college/university, eh? Are other people still applicable for scholarships and financial aid? :/

Over here, I believe that in certain areas exam requirements are getting harder. However, high schools are doing certain things I'm not quite in favor of such as strongly persuading students to take AP courses even if it may not be the right choice for them. It makes the schools look better if more students are enrolled in their honors courses (like AP).. even if they're not doing so well. >__>;

Here's a general question. Does anyone here have an inferiority complex (regarding anything, like artistic ability, academic ability, etc.? I realized I may have one - I feel like my work is never good enough in comparison to other fantastic artists on other websites or compared to industry professionals (for obvious reasons). I don't get depressed, but it does kind of put a damper on things. I did some thinking and came to the conclusion that it's best not to stress so much and compare your work so much to others.. the best you can do is self-improvement by your own rate and standards.

If you've ever felt inferior (in anything), how did you improve? How did you get out of that rut? :)

Second question, much less serious:
Does anyone cosplay? If so, what have you cosplayed? If not, what would you like to, if you could? :o)

Personally, paying attention to the little things always helped me (and still does!).
Sometimes, I think "Meh, my drawings are SO inferior compared to others", but then I take a closer look and compare. For example "I'm still pretty good with hairstyles" or "I don't like how this artist draws eyes, I prefer how I do them" or "the angle I chose for my drawing pleases me a bit more" or something along these lines. There's always someone who's better than you, but even bad drawings can still have something good about them, like the idea, the pose, the hair etc.

Paying attention to that always cheers me up!

Answer to first question: Academic, no. The people in my US History I class make ostriches look smart, and I always make high honors (I take all the honors courses and find them to be no different from the regular ones.)
But artistic? Oh god yes. During grade school, I had an artist friend who drew in a cartoony style, while I drew in more realistic styles. I really admired her and tried to be just like her, but failed. The art teacher always praised her instead of me, and while she won "Best Artist," I won "Most Creative" - I don't know whether I was honored or disappointed. But now I'm in high school and taking Art I - following my passion. My artist friend still goes to my school and still draws, but her mom wouldn't let her into Art I, she had to take double math. My geometry honors class is VERY tough, so I'm glad I went the way I did, or my grades would be plummeting. But I'm not saying that Art I is an easy class, even though I do well in it. I spent over 24 hours (but not consecutive) on a cut-paper mosaic, and there's STILL spots that need to be touched up.

Answer to second question: Yeah, I cosplay, but only when the occasion calls for it, like halloween. I was Franziska von Karma last year, but the colors were way off - blonde wig, black whip. It was only a halloween costume. I'm going as Machi Tobaye this year, wearing a wig, sunglasses, and some kind of Father of the Bride suit o___O

I also have a ratty black wig, black silk kimono, and white sandals that, when combined, would probably equal what Morgan Fey would look like in solitary.

Well, we've all heard about my lack of academic confidence, but I guess I can tell you how I deal with it. Whenever I need to present something or teach something to someone else, I make sure I'm overly prepared and know the material without having to check over my work. On some things I still bring the cheat sheet in case I get nervous, but for the most part I try to fake confidence in myself so that others will see me that. Eventually, and with things I really do know well, the confidence is real. I hope to one day get over my confidence issue, but for now I just work on it day by day.

I have never cosplayed before, but I am planning and Older Ema one for sometime in the future.

Once again, I've never been of the opinion that any individual exceeded my own abilities from an academic standpoint. Sure, my Honors and Gifted classes have some pretty smart people in them, but they aren't exactly geniuses. And I'm always that freaking genius who keeps anyone from getting a curve, aces every test without studying, etc. At the same time, I'm also the freaking liberal (raised by my beloved liberal feminist mother) who is constantly spouting radical ideas, going on tangents about how the way we do things isn't working, talking about how progressive President Obama is, etc.

On the other hand, my perfectionism :karma: in the academic regard has caused me to avoid any area in which I cannot be the best, including sports, art, music, etc., which in retrospect has been an unfortunate loss. So I'm afraid that I have taken Karma-esque precautions to protect my huge superiority complex and ego while ensuring that I never try to do anything that someone could best me at. Not exactly something I'd recommend to others; I'd offer Lunaria's suggestions as saner solutions to such issues.

To answer your second question, I've never been much of a cosplayer. Heck, I never even dressed up for Halloween unless my mother made me.

Inferiority complex:

I had that problem once:
Last year i was in my school and during the technologic class that is not even useful (Sometimes we don`t do anything :edgeworth: ). Well going back to the main point... A classmate asked me to draw him a snake and I obviously accepted, but when I was drawing I had problems with the head and tail, and then another classmate offered to do it, her snake was so cool that I felt depressed, but I try to don`t think in that kind of stuff, I just feel happy with the way I draw.

Cosplay:

I`ve never done Cosplay, my older sister wishes to do it sometime. Me?... I would like to try once, sometime. If I do cosplay sometime I would like to dress as Fatman of MGS2 but I would have to shave my head or use something to look balled, wear a green suit, learn to use rollerblades/skates and suddenly adquire an obsession for bombs.

Spoiler: Fatman

Yes. French fries in a Chinese takeout. >__>;
That's interesting how Chile doesn't have this same trend. Then again, a good amount of Americans are known for their insatiable appetite for fast food and junk. These takeouts are just trying to cater to those type of people.

My class isn't part of my feminist club/organization, it's just a class I'm taking for my major (I'm a double-major). :)

U.S. Chinese food sucks (of the stuff I've had) unless you go to Chinatown or my dad's restaurant. :B If you ever come to New York I'll give you a free gift certificate!! XD

Well... It wouldn`t hurt anyone to get it done as a sig so... ok, I would like you to make it a sig. and thanks for offering! I though it was just to show how it looked as a sig. Thanks again.

I`m surprized chinese restaurants change their menu for such a stupid reason. People go to chinese restaurants to have chinese food! Not french fries! And I thought chinese food was way better in the U.S than in Chile (cause I heard they had camel, snake, anguilla and some other stuff)
Really!? A free gift certificate!? Awesome! That`s so kind from you! XD
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

Yeah, seriously. I love Chinese food, and I find it ridiculous that a "Chinese restaurant" in America would start serving these American fast food options. I also find it ridiculous that they would start serving Japanese food, like sushi, just because some foolish fools don't know the difference.

And I seriously hated Fatman. Instead of attacking directly, he would run around planting C4's of death that I would have to disarm while he skated around shooting me with a submachine gun. I was thinking, "How can he be so fat and yet so fast?". That guy was pretty annoying. And he didn't have much of an explanation for his "crazy bomber trained by a regretful explosives master" backstory, which I found irksome. Additionally, I thought it was such a joke when he was all "you'll never find my last bomb" as he died, and I just started shaking his body down for dog tags, and the bomb was right underneath him. Oh, yeah, great hiding spot Fatman. What's next, under your mattress? Not to mention, he was the only member of Dead Cell who didn't even appear to have supernatural powers: Vamp is immortal and can walk on water and walls, Fortune can deflect bullets and disable grenades with pure luck, and Fatman... can... set bombs, and uh... roller skate. Really, Fatman? Really?

And... I spent way too much time on that Fatman rant.

But, this reminds me of how awesome the art style for MGS was, although you barely ever saw it in the games themselves. I was rather disappointed that there didn't seem to be any such art available for MGS4, though I suppose that it only had one or two new characters.

Roman Bellic! XD But I would have to ask a friend for help so he makes cosplay of Niko XD

Sorry it looks like you hate Fatman... A LOT.

Roman makes me think of the ending of GTA4, and that makes me start crying for that fat pervert who I totally hated but grew to love thanks to GTA's beautiful character development and storytelling style. First you make me angry, now you make me cry. You're putting me on an emotional roller coaster with your cosplay suggestions, Gray Godot. And then I replayed it to try to get a different ending, and it was even worse *sob* *sob* (although that ending was a lot easier).

Spoiler: GTA4
Why did they have to kill you, Roman!? It was your wedding, and you were so happy, and then you get shot in your big fat belly and die instantly. Why couldn't it be me instead, Roman!? It should have been me, not you! You never did anything wrong except... well, you WERE an annoying pervert who would call me during important missions and invite me to go to a strip club with you. Wait, why was I so upset that you were dead again? Wait... HOW THE HECK DID GTA4 GET ME TO LIKE YOU!? Curse you, Rockstar Games, and your incredible character development abilities.

I won`t read your spoiler until I finish GTAIV in the xbox 360 of my cousin XD.
Well I just picked him cause he was funny with all the: "Ma`cousin Nicko! Let`s go get drunk!" XD

Maybe I picked characters that put you like that cause I`m listening to Dust in the wind (that BTW makes me a little sad, I just can`t handle the lyrics:
" I close my eyes...
Only for a momment and the momment`s gone" and I`m already crying XD)

Let me think of another character: Wario! XD I make a good Wario voice and It wouldn`t be a bad idea. I hope that makes you happy XD
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

Oh no, poor Wario... ah just kidding, I have no emotional attachment to Wario.

Your Roman-tic comments have reminded me of a certain VG Cats comic. (Be warned, may contain "offensive language". But you've played GTA, so who am I kidding?)

Wow, I appreciate the response, everybody! :)
(Dude, sorry for the multitude of spoiler tags.)

First, here's my answer:
Spoiler:
1. As I've mentioned earlier, I often have this inferiority complex about my work as an artist (drawing, graphics, etc.) more than academic ability. Just like some of you, I've never really had an issue with academics because yes... the dolts in my classes make me feel like I'm a genius (and I'm not). I never did exceptionally well with regards to high school classes because I hated high school and never felt motivated or happy enough. However, all of that changed once I entered college. I absolutely LOVE college and have maintained an almost-perfect GPA (damn those A-s!). :B

Just goes to show how much happiness, comfort, and motivation can make a difference, really.

I understand how many of you feel with regards to art. I think a lot of artists feel this way.. because in almost all cases you can always nitpick at something. For example, human anatomy can be freakin' difficult to master. Maybe the arm doesn't look right. Maybe the eyes look off. Maybe the angle seems weird... on and on and on.

2. I'm camera-shy so I don't cosplay "for srs." I tend to "cosplay" creative, random ideas that wouldn't be considered "cosplay" for many people. I'm best known as cosplaying the Final Fantasy Battle Menu ("attack", "summon"...)
I went all out. The hand cursor on the left side of the menu could be moved to any of the battle commands so anyone who approached me could select whatever they wanted. It was also highly customizable (I love interacting with props/cosplays). For the HP/MP menu (my boyfriend), the names (for the party) were erasable so again, highly customizable. :BBB

Individual responses -

Perrydotto:
Spoiler:
Good advice. I consider myself to be quite the optimist, so I do try to look at my drawings and go, "Hm. Well, the anatomy's off, but I drew __________ really good" and then continue to improve on whatever flaws there are.
And yes, there will always be "better" people but you just have to learn to focus on self-improvement! :]

Asaki:
Spoiler:
Ostriches, ha!
I hear ya about the art courses. I was often praised but damn, there was this one guy in my general art/drawing class who literally could produce MASTERPIECES in one class period. I envied him so much, but I had social support from my friend in the class. We often laughed at our own artwork in a joking way and it made the class fun rather than OH GOD I'M SO HORRIBLE IN COMPARISON TO THIS GUY. :o)

That's so cooooool; do you have pictures?
I LOVE MACHI COSPLAY. You must take pictures!~
Do you go to cons? I'll be going to Otakon this year. ^___^

Lunaria:
Spoiler:
I have major presentation/public speaking issues. I don't have a ton of experience with public speaking yet, so I get super nervous. My hands shake and my voice shakes, too. >__<

Your advice is very good. Yes, I also try to prepare thoroughly before any presentation or anything similar. Can't go wrong with some extra preparation! :]

Older Ema cosplay would be awesome. Let me know how it works out if the plan pulls through!

YggdrasilsSword:
Spoiler:
Hahaha, the "freaking genius who keeps anyone from getting a curve" is hilarious.
Your background sounds really interesting, especially with the academic abilities and radical ideas. That's very admirable! :)
Is/was your mother an activist?

I can totally understand avoiding certain areas of interest for those reasons. (Your situation sounds very similar to mine, actually.)
I tend to avoid certain types of video games because I started playing video games later than most people and therefore, I'm not very good at them. Since I'm not that good and don't have a lot of time to play them for hours and practice, I'm reluctant to play games with other people because I think I'll just lose all the time. I'm trying to get over that, though - my friends are really supportive and they're extremely patient with me. XD;

Aww, what did your mother make you dress up as?

Gray Godot:
Spoiler:
Aww! I have had similar experiences. I'm glad you're optimistic about your drawing abilities now, though! That's the spirit!!

I'm not familiar with MGS2 but I wish you the best of luck. XD

Re: sig
Sure thing, it'll be a quick thing to do so I'll get it to you tomorrow-ish. :)

And you're welcome for the hypothetical gift certificate, haha.

I still need to play GTA4, too. I don't have a 360, though. D:
I've played Warioware:Touched! :) He's a funny character; I find it amusing that you can do his voice.

My mother is still alive, if it wasn't clear. :edgy: My mother's really too busy with her job as a teacher (same profession as my father) to be an "activist," but she's ensured that her sons grow up to have respect for women (and strong disdain for sexism), and that her daughter doesn't let anything hold her back. (I must say, my little sister is also a beast at Halo, as it is something of a family activity in my home.)

About the artist guy: there was someone like that in my school too, but he was 3 grades ahead of me. He's a college freshman now. His name was George and he drew old-school celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Lucille Ball. He was as close to a prodigy as our art class ever had. The stuff was photorealistic. What's more, he was supernice and even gave me his senior picture, which is sitting framed on my art desk at home!

About the cosplay: I don't cosplay in front of the camera, due to household rules, my age, and privacy reasons - so no pictures. But I can tell you about the costume. It's a Daymor Couture petite suit I had, all frilly on the neck and sleeves. It IS a mother of the bride suit, but I made it look ten times less feminine with the whole Machi motif. The only problem is that the bottom is a skirt, and I'll have to substitute something there. The wig is the perfect length and color.

I don't attend cons, but I'd like to. The library at which I work went last year (I forget to where though.) Shoulda went.

Yeah, it always seems like every school has that ONE (or several) person who's absolutely amazing at art. I wish I had that sort of talent where it's like you doodle for two minutes and the result is absolutely incredible. *can dream*

I'm glad to hear that he was nice :) Unfortunately, the kid who was in a grade lower wasn't too nice but I wouldn't call him a jerk, either.

Understood about the picture, no worries. :)
Ah, wigs can make or break the costume in most situations. Where did you get the wig?

My university actually has a sci-fi (but includes anime/video games) convention. This year is the first year that the convention is off campus which completely sucks because this is my last year.
It was so awesome to go to a lecture hall and instead of attending a boring class, a lesson on origami by the voice actor of Winry Rockbell (FMA) was presented there. It was a surreal experience. Imagine seeing Darth Vader or some other random cosplays walking through your campus. AWESOME. ;___;

Perrydotto: Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know.
I have seen your drawn comics though and they're as awesome. :)
I really enjoy the combination of drawing and sprites, so could you incorporate the sprite heads into a drawn comic? I would love that <33 (If it's too difficult, please don't bother. Anything will do; I'm not picky.)

Selom: The pink ranger was actually my all-time favorite (*eyerolls at childhood*) but in that year, all the pink ranger costumes were sold out by the time my mom took me to the store :(
I liked the yellow ranger though, because she resembled me more in terms of the asian appearance. (But eh.. the yellow ranger being asian and the black ranger being black... *eyeroll*)

I enjoy reminiscing about my childhood. Anyone have a particular toy or craze or whatever they like to reminisce about?

Great job on that Max Galactica sig.

The Pink Ranger was my favorite as well, but I never dressed up as a Power Ranger for Halloween. Even when I was young I though it was odd that they made those choices for the Black and Yellow Rangers. What were they thinking?

My favorite show growing up was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I used to watch it in the afternoons on our local station (It came on after Transformers). I also got up to watch it on Saturday mornings on CBS. I liked a lot of shows on that CBS Saturday morning line-up during the years I watched TMNT: Alvin and the Chipmunks, Muppet Babies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Garfield and Friends, Hey Vern, It's Earnest!, Beakman's World, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures, and Mother Goose and Grimm.

Okay, some of those shows weren't that great, but they filled my Saturday mornings with happiness from the late eighties into the mid nineties.

I got the wig at a halloween store...it was originally for my Franziska von Karma cosplay (yes, I went as a blonde Fran - that is a broken costume in and of itself, even though I have seen blonde Frans before.) Then I played AJ and I'm like "wow, this wig is sooo Machi~" All I had to do was tack the bangs up into a wing, and everything was a-ok.

And that convention sounds like pure win. I know someone who cosplayed Trucy on her campus (I'm best friends with her sister) and nobody knew what it was all about. Poor girl - more colleges need little diversions like that.

Nadindi: Err, that does sound messed up. Free college/university, eh? Are other people still applicable for scholarships and financial aid? :/

Over here, I believe that in certain areas exam requirements are getting harder. However, high schools are doing certain things I'm not quite in favor of such as strongly persuading students to take AP courses even if it may not be the right choice for them. It makes the schools look better if more students are enrolled in their honors courses (like AP).. even if they're not doing so well. >__>;

College here is free, from ages 16-18. There are limited scholarships, though and they're usually biased towards private schools. >_>

I hate it when people 'encourage' the students to do something. Makes it feel like there's no choice in the matter, and that they have to do what they're told to be successful in life, which sucks.

I feel extremely inferior when it comes to sport. But I know that's just how whoever's up there made me, so i'm fine with it really. ^^

Thanks Vicki!

Don`t worry I don`t mind you didn`t make such a change in the sig. It`s still awesome for me.

I didn`t know you liked the Power Rangers!
I really never liked the same things as the other kids like Power Rangers or Dragon Ball Z, I usually was the different one. And in that way I started finding friends as weird as I`m XD. I really loved "Rocko`s modern life" XD it was my favorite cartoon.

Just like you Vicki:
A general question... Were you the different boy/girl in your school when you were younger? If you were... What kind of things did you liked that others didn't? Or backwards... What kind of things did the other kids liked that you didn't?
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

I'm currently drowning in school work, so a drawn comic isn't possible right now, I'm afraid.
But a little edit is on the way~

Perrydotto: There is no rush at all; take all the time you need. :)
I should know how drowning in schoolwork feels like, so don't worry about it.

Gray Godot: Ok, good. :]
I was a huge fan of the Power Rangers (the original cast) when I was young. My friends loved Rocko's Modern Life, I personally never saw many episodes of it. You shouldn't feel like that's a weird choice though - I know lots of people who liked Rocko.

Uh, well, in elementary school I was the only asian kid in my entire grade. My school wasn't well-known for its diverse population. >__>; So, I stood out in that aspect. Besides appearances, I was kind of quirky, weird, and quiet/shy. Other little girls enjoyed playing Princess stories while I got bored of them quick. Sure, I played with Barbies but instead of going OH YAY *insert hyperfeminine voice and dreams of living in a castle and doing nothing for the rest of life* I would actually play out these "elaborate" stories where there was always this powerful, evil witch character and then she would capture other characters (like a mini action figure). Then, the other characters usually got entrapped forever in a dungeon or something. o__o'''

Um, I loved (and still have a great passion for) technology. I used to have one of those Vtech kid's computers with many minigames that tests you on basic math and vocabulary.
I also loved stickers. I had over six full sticker books and lots of kids liked to trade stickers with me during recess.

I watched Sailor Moon a lot as a kid. I loved Sailor Mars. :B
Ummmmm... I don't think I was too different in comparison to other children. I would consider myself as more nerdy and definitely shy.

How about you? (or anyone else?)

Nadindi: Ha, I wish college was free here. Then again, we have university for ages 17-21, for most students. My tuition per year is about $14,000. Oddly enough, my graduate school tuition will be less when it is normally not.

Yeah, I hear you. Let me choose what I want to do! :|

What kind of sports? I've never been a sport/athletic-type of person, so I've felt the same way. Nowadays, I do yoga and pilates with some friends. It's really fun! :)

I believe I've heard of some cons in England.. not sure where they would be in relation to where you are. Travel certainly is an annoyance. -__-'' Otakon is approximately 4-5 hours from where I am. AnimeNEXT is only an hour away (New Jersey) but frankly, it can't compare to Otakon so I don't bother to go. I may go this year just because I like meeting new people at cons. :)

I would love to cosplay Trucy or Maya as well! ^__^

Asaki: You're so lucky to have found the wig at a store. Most people have to buy them on Ebay or Amphigory.
Awww, that's a shame about the girl who cosplayed Trucy. I would love to see some random students cosplaying on my campus!
On Halloween, I see some really great costumes on campus and I wish I could take pictures but I feel weird doing so. After all, at conventions it's perfectly normal to be like "CAN I HAVE YOUR PICTURE"... however, it's not the same social environment on a college campus :X

Furuba: PM'ed the result!

Baron: Great question! I tend to listen to music while working on graphics because music puts me into a good, relaxed mood. As for particular songs that inspire me... it depends, but not really. I'm unfortunately not a big music-buff like many other people I know (people who know all about a certain band/singer's music, listen to it 24/7... etc.) so I don't have a specific, deep song that "speaks to me."
My musical taste is in almost all genres of music so my playlist is like randomwoah. :o)

How about you? Does music inspire you for anything?

Lunaria: Thanks! :)
Haha, and then when they did a cast change, the yellow ranger "became" black, while the black ranger became asian. @__@

I liked TMNT too. I asked my parents for a TMNT figure (Michelangelo's came with a pizza accessory) but they declined and said it was a "boy's toy." :( Boo, gendered toys.

Yeah, I watched the Saturday morning line-up too. I don't remember most of the shows I watched but I never watched most of what you mentioned. >__<;

Cosplays on ebay are pretty expensive. I saw a Franziska cosplay for around $150. I have a sewing machine at home and a Jo Ann's about 20 minutes away from me. You know what that means!? ...A lot of time and effort, that's what :yuusaku:

And answering your question.

Vickinator wrote:

I used to be really into pokemon (the original 150, I don't care for the new ones, but I'm giving them a chance with Platinum.) I still have a shirt with Misty on it from when I was a little girl. It was like a nightdress on me then and it's still pretty long on me now. I still wear it sometimes. :bellboy:

I also remember having a set of Nickelodeon pajamas with the characters and logos for various shows on them (I remember the Angry Beavers being on them, the Figure it Out logo, the big yellow screaming "All That" mouth, among others.)

Finally, I remember seeing the VERY first commercials for Invader Zim back in 1999 - they just showed the Irken symbol and the date of the show's premiere. I remember being baffled out of my mind and complaining about why they just didn't come right out and say what the heck it was. XD

Maybe you were watching one of the other Saturday morning line ups when Ninja turtles wasn't on? There were many to choose from then, and I'll look up some more cartoons later.

I used to watch Sailormoon all the time. I got so mad when they got to the middle of the second season and then went back to the beginning.

That was funny on Power Rangers when they did that switch. Then they made the red ranger Hispanic/Indian. Correct two ethnic stereotypes and add a third I guess.

I was like you when I was in school, Vicki. I was shy and quiet (and often mistaken for a Chinese person, but I think I've told that story before). I didn't have alot of friends, but the ones I did have were very close to me.

I`m not saying that Rocko was weird... well you have to admit it som, etimes it was a little bit weird. Anyway what I`m saying is that I didn`t liked what mos`t of the other kids liked, what you were telling about playing with barbies... it reminds me of me XD I used to play with my toys in that kind of way that we and some friends could almost an entire hour messing around with multiple stories or just a big one... one thing in common is that every story involved at least 35 explosions aprox. XD.

If I have to consider myself shy... no, I`m not. When talking if I consider myself different, I would say I was different: In school, the other boys allways loved DBZ, Power Rangers, and football soccer and none of those things interested me, always when something became popular I wasn't interested in it. Me and my friends used to have those trading card games.
If it is of being nerdy... more or less, I'm not sure.

My sister watched Sailor Moon (She even saw the live action version XD.
I never saw it entirely to be honest, maybe in boredom I watched half a episode.

Spoiler: Some stories and Why I HATE soccer.
BTW: I forgot to tell that I HATE LOCAL FOOTBALL TEAMS! Cause of the fans of a club: Two cousins of mine were harmed:

One of them was walking in front of the national stadium. And then a fan of a club told him if he could give him some coins for the match.
He said he didn't have any money. The asshole took a stick and hitted my cousin in his face and threw him to the ground and escaped the coward.

And my other cousin: He was in the bus going to my house cause of my birthday,( BTW my birthday it's on May 28th) and he was assaulted by some fans of the same club and left him without his wallet and possesions.

In Chile the football soccer has been distorted, it`s not what it used tobe in the old times of this country, we had great players who focused to give their motherland some fame and in one world cup they got the SECOND place. Now it`s all about tabloids: which player is dating this brainless model with double charge of airbags. One of the players of the national selection even got involved in a girls death! In Chile you get scared cause there`s a match and ALWAY you see some problem, guys throwing stones, molotovs, and fighting with the cops, you crap your pants just by hearing that the two main clubs are having an important match cause you can even get killed. A guy in a match I'm not very sure when but if I'm not mistaken in 1998 a guy was stabbed to death in the terraces between 20 thousand people and nobody did something to stop the bastard.

One of the most famous clubs was supported by the old dictator of this country with money of the country to save it from ruin. (Augusto Pinochet if you didn`t know)

This country is not as peaceful as it looks, it has a dark past that a lot of people regret, remember with pain and else. My father when he refers to the peolpe involved in the old dictatorship, he changes his tone to one of the most seriosu tones you can hear.

This countries routine has adpted us to live with this problems... It's not something to be proud, and everyday it's like that.

Enough of those subjects... :uramidn:

Sometimes music inspires me, when I'm drawing or in the computer.
Sometimes some songs with a fast beat, make me walk faster without realizing it.
Sometimes music makes me really sad cause it remembers me of some things... I avoid listening to "So happy together" by the turtles it reminds me of the first time I declared myself to a girl... and it's obvious that it didn`t go so well XD.

Sorry I haven't been talking a lot :payne: I just tend to follow what everyone is saying :edgy:
I watched Sailor Moon when I was younger - and whenever I hear the title music I always get this really creepy sense of Deja vu...
I remember DBZ too. There's a new live action film out soon I think! (sorry if already been mentioned) Let's see....I remember Power Rangers, TMNT, Yugioh, Pokemon. That kinda stuff. It brings back memories from when I was little :larry: Ah, happy days. If I watched them now, I'd probably get lynched or something
D:

And since your request list has.....emptied....(I think Kimmy must have died or something)...please can you make me a new sig and avatar? Pretty pretty please with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and a cherry and sprinkles on top? :keiko:

Sig:
Text: You know you LOVE it.
Image(s): Makoto to the far right, then This, This, This, This, This and finally (whew) Thiisss in a line to the left. I know you can do it Vicki!! x
Any preferred size?: The same size as Furuba's signature please. I like that size-ness :edgy:
Color scheme: Many kinds of pink, cream, and white. ;)
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): Stars and, if you happen to have anything sporty, please add it too. :hobohodo:

Avatar:
Text: God, I wish I had Phoenix back... (quite small, but bold, in a bottom corner please)
Image(s): Edgey, and Makoto. Now, I know they probably won't fit on even a large-sized avatar, but perhaps we could overlap them, with Miles in front and Makoto behind? If any probs, just say :phoenix:
Any preferred size?: Large/whatever/same as I have now XD
Color scheme: Yellow, and Pink, methinks. x3
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): Lines, big jaggedy edges, to show how contrasting the two are :redd:

*breathes*
Phew. And thanks again so much :3
I really need to do something to thank you....but I fail at life, so give me a few days and I will make up a little present *blush* :redd:

[EDIT]
I hope you like it! I'm ok at drawing, but at least it didn't take as long as I thought to do. (Though paint sucks and the quality was actually better before...)

How about you? Does music inspire you for anything?

Yes. Sometimes when I hear a song I envision a picture to go with it. Like this song, for example. When I first heard it I thought of making a picture of the
Spoiler: AJ, I guess
The whole Grammarye love triangle thing that went on.
I actually made the picture, would you like to see it? :edgy:
Also, the pic I showed you before, was actually inspired by a song as well.

Hey, Vicki! How have you been doing? Man, this thread goes very far indeed, so much has been happening, so much to read...I took some good time to read most of what I've missed. :knock-knock:
Anyway, hum...let's see, the most recent questions are...the inferiority complex and the reminiscences we have from the past?

Well, I never had any problem with my academic studies...wait, there was never much to study. As in, I never studied much beyond the regular school time, and even so I got good grades in general. Recently, they dropped a bit, but nothing that will hurt me big, hopefully...I just think I'll have to pay more attention. Anyway, this had never been an issue...but I do feel very inferior relating to art. As I am totally hopeless in that area, I kinda feel crushed whenever I see nice pieces of art, good sprites, etc...which, here, in this awesome site, is quite an often happening, so many talented people here! And I can't draw for my life...at my best condition, I write fanfics. And mostly in Portuguese, because I don't think I master enough English to write well, yet. As in sports, I can play volley, basketball, and nothing else, I think...but I never felt inferior in this matter.

For something completely different, I remember that I used to love watching Knights of Zodiac, Pokemon, and even Sailor Moon (though I would often neglect mentioning this last one from my classmates on purpose, out of embarassment). I also had this Phoenix Ikki's costume my mother bought me, and must be still hid somewhere VERY DEEP in the big mess that is my room. ^^"
I never played much with toy cars or dolls or action figures...but I remember I had a set of little soldiers from two different armies that I liked to play with, making them combat each other.
"Ah, the days of my youth...like the scent of fresh lemon...you see."
Strange how often I'm using that sentence lately. Maybe I'm getting old.

Anyway, your work is still incredibly amazing! Well, I will keep coming back to pester you every now and then. ^^
Keep up your good work! <3

Sad to say, I've left C-R. I may still occasionally come on, but, y'know...
I just lost interest, but, this is still an awesome site.
I'll live on through my sprites, I hope. And my major contributions to the Max fanclub. ^_^
Bye ;_; ^_^

Asaki:
Spoiler:
I never got into the whole Pokemon craze, but I did catch a few episodes and such. I had a few favorites. What were yours?

Yup, cosplays on Ebay are quite expensive. In addition, you have to always be wary of possible scams on Ebay considering that many cosplay sellers are from overseas and sometimes have shady accounts. If the sizing is wrong, you'll have to either change it yourself or return it.. it's a mess. It's best to find a local seller, but that can be extremely difficult because their skill could be questionable. My mother is a tailor so she has sewn some pieces for me in the past. :)

Cute Nick pjs! I remember all those shows. *reminisce*
Haha, I never saw that Zim "preview" so I have no idea, but yes, that seems very silly. Building up the drama, I suppose.

Lunaria:
Spoiler:
I don't even remember what channel Turtles used to be on. x__x;
I used to watch Sailormoon in Chinese (subbed). My mom bought me like two tapes (3 episodes each) in Chinatown so I was entertained with those. I also had one of the movies on tape.

Ha, I didn't even think about the Red Ranger. Interesting.

Oh, that's cool to hear. Yeah, I didn't have many friends but it was mostly because I was lacking a significant amount of self-confidence and self-esteem, so I was never comfortable with being outgoing or socially-inclined.

Gray Godot:
Spoiler:
Oh, it sounded like you were saying that Rocko was "weird," haha.
Yeah! I spent all day playing with random toys and creating elaborate stories. I never had any playmates so I had to make up imaginary tales of adventure to entertain myself.

Trading card games were definitely popular among some of the people I knew as a kid. Nowadays, I know people who play Magic: The Gathering. XD

That football story sounds really intense. I'm sorry that your cousins were hurt :( Are they okay now?? ://
I don't know much about Chile's history or current state, but what you say doesn't surprise me. There is so much going on in the world today and I feel like many people just turn a blind eye to it or refuse to listen/see.
You say the old dictatorship - what is Chile operating under now? Is it still a dictatorship?

It's funny that you mention that song - my friend mentioned it just a few days ago. Funny how things pop up in conversation around the same time. (I'm sorry that your first declaration didn't go so well! :[ )

I always enjoy chatting with you! :)

BC:
Spoiler:
Yeah! I enjoy listening to music while working on certain assignments, too. It can go both ways, though - it can make me lose focus sometimes, haha.

Thanks for the compliment!~ I still need to make myself a wallpaper, but I just don't know what image(s) to use. x____x;;

SF:
Spoiler:
First - I LOVE THE IMAGE YOU DREW! It's adorable :) Thanks so much!!
Omg, Sailor Moon title music. *memories*
I watched a Power Rangers parody (they dubbed over the voices) on Youtube the other day. I loved it. <3

I hope Kimmy didn't die :X Let's hope she's okay.
Anddddddd sure thing to your request. :)
I'm in a time crunch right now so I'm not going to review the details of your request yet but if I have any questions/concerns I'll let you know.

BaronandEma: Sure! I would love to see your picture. :)

LittleBakura: Sure thing~

Aliucon:
Spoiler:
Good to see you again! I appreciate your contribution to the conversations that have been going on :D
It seems like a lot of people have felt inferior in art. I know what you mean about seeing gorgeous pieces of art and feeling like, "whoa, I FEEL SO INFERIOR" and such. My friend is a pixel artist and I WISH I COULD DO PIXEL ART. o___o''

I think your English is great! :) I thought English was your first language, actually. XD;

Aww, you watched Sailor Moon, too?? We have lots of Sailor Moon watchers in here. :D
I know what you mean about feeling embarassed about watching certain shows, though. I once told my class that I loved watching "Bill Nye the Science Guy" (he was a nerdy guy who talked about a different science topic and did really cool/fun experiments for each show). Apparently, the host was too much of a "geek"/"nerd" so I got made fun of for watching and liking it. >:|

Thanks for visiting, Aliucon!~ It's always a pleasure :B

Air: Hi, Air! ^^ I'm hanging in there. There's a snow day tomorrow so I get to catch up on some work and stuff. How about you? How's school, life, etc.?

Okami`:
Thanks! Yes, my goal is to create a stronger sense of community here while still running a "business." I love learning about people so this is a great opportunity. :)

Furuba: I'll PM you in a moment to discuss something.
