Paraphrasing the PM:

Spoiler: sig idea, pinball with a plot
"Theatre of Magic" actually has a storyline to it, somewhat.

Here's a link to the promo video; it explains everything - kind of cheesy but in that awesome, mid-90's kind of way. --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xn7r9Yvzjh8

Quite simply, a young girl aspires to be a stage magician, but she lacks talent, so she's the cleaning lady instead. Then she finds a little gold sack, there's an explosion and a cloud of smoke, and she winds up in magician's clothing in a huge expanse of white space, containing nothing but the pinball machine. There is footage of the girl playing the machine, along with dramaticized dialogue about the gameplay. At one part, towards the end of the video, the female narrator says: "Are you worthy? Are you strong enough? Do YOU have the magic?!" That's where I got the idea for the sig from ^^; The girl then replies..."Yes! I have the magic!" Then she beats the game. The narrator says that the Theatre of Magic then granted her immortality and power...and that the Theatre is looking for its new legend, i.e. you.

That's the STORY, anyway. Gameplay is quite different. If only it were that easy to live forever - ToM is actually a very high-scoring machine and reeeeally easy (well, to me.)

The machine says "You Have The Magic!" quite often during gameplay, alluding to the story.

No doubt this is a game that Valant Gramarye would keep in his dressing room!

I also said something like: "Seriously, I could give you a picture of a landfill, and you could turn it into a pile of gold, like Uncle Scrooge's vault." And I seriously think you could. You're that good. :D Thanks again~

Not trying to compare "issues" but I know personally, I can't stand two family members having an argument and then having to hear about how "I'm right and he/she's wrong, and don't you agree with me?" kind of things :payne: The worst part is I try to explain the other person's point of view, but they don't listen.

I had laryngitis the week before I had to do a really important 20 minute presentation! Argh! It always seems to come at such an inopportune time, but then again, what's a "good time" for sickness... >__>; That's interesting about your upper range. So, you sing? How awesome :D I used to sing in high school chorus as an alto, but as with many women, I like singing soprano.

"they just complain more about why their situation is worse"
Ahaha, yes. It becomes a contest to see WHO HAS SUFFERED THE MOST in everyday conversation. When I speak of my own experiences, my intent is to show the other person that I understand and that I can relate, but sometimes it may come off as some competition which is really not what I want to do >__< This hasn't happened at all recently, but it happened from time to time in high school.

Oh, it's like that Brian Regan skit about competing to say the best story at the dinner table or whatever. I'm not going to attempt to quote him because I have the tendency to mutilate quotes, but basically it's about how there was this jerk who walked on the moon, so whenever someone would brag about something, he would interject with, "WELL, I WALKED ON THE MOON!" which was like a trump card of victory. XD

I don't think crying in that situation is too strange, especially when you were younger. I tend to get a little overemotional about certain things in particular nowadays, but I've gradually learned to control that and retain a more rational, logical perspective on things. :] That's interesting.. I tend to get really stressed easily but I've never been in a real "panicky"-type of situation.

I've never analyzed my handwriting.. the style fluctuates way too often, haha.

Spoiler:
Yeah, seriously. When is it a good time to get sick? :grey: 20 minute presentation? Hoo boy! I've been sick before solo auditions for choir, before (at least I have something to blame on when I don't get the solo, lol), but 20 minute presentation? What did you do!?
Ah, yes, I'm a soprano in choir! :edgy: I did band for two years when we had the choice to (played flute—figures), but choir is not only easier in our school (not many like our band teacher) but it's fun because we do actually take our choir a little more seriously, so we get pretty far in solo and ensemble and all that jazz. :redd: There are of course a few downsides I'm seeing with choir kids (notably working with them in our musical, but I won't go into detail). But I enjoy it. It's a lot easier since I play piano.

Indeed, a competition! Yikes, that's all it ever becomes sometimes! I learned to never make the mistake of putting myself into it, though; definitely not something to suck yourself into.

Lol, haven't heard of Brian Regan, but that does sound quite funny. I wish I could walk on the moon... lol

Logical, rational thinking—yes, like I said, I get that mindset completely in high-tense situations. They may not be high tense situations, but they're times when, like I said, no one knows what to do. I actually don't really know if naturally, I'm a logical or emotional thinker. Whenever those questions come up in personality tests, I switch the answer each time. I just don't really know; I use either a combination, or interchange them. I also have this odd problem that I tend to like thinking logically, but have found that my emotional gut is usually right. :yuusaku: Quite a predicament.

Ooh, I've been analyzing my handwriting a little! I know some skeptics out there, but handwriting analysis is real. It's definitely not the most perfect "analysis" technique, but there is some merit and truth to it. Even changing handwriting has common characteristics, I've found. I've been able to track my moments of high and low confidence with my handwriting and also how I think under certain situations (the part that's supposed to show "how (quickly)" you think fluctuates for me; but it makes sense). Anyhow, I find it facinating, but I'm nowhere near being an analyst XD

*gasp* My wallpaper is next! So excited!

Lunaria & Jenna: Luckily, the TAs in this class actually don't grade our papers. They keep track of homework and such.. which also isn't a big deal because this is a 100-level course.
*whew*

Papermario: I'll try to write a brief "tutorial" (don't have the time to make a full-fledged thing, and it would consist of very basic advice and suggestions - tutorials limit how people learn and develop their own style, as well) on those two things sometime, sure. Since you gave me a big project, though, don't expect this by like.. tomorrow. >__>;;

What do you mean by erasing backgrounds? I just erase the background, literally. :o
Other people use the pen tool which I haven't had the need for yet, so you can simply Google for "pen tool tutorial" if needed.

Burninator: Sure then. :)

Blinq: My family can be very conservative about certain things, so I understand the stubbornness. It's frustrating, indeed.

Asaki: Aww, that sounds like an awesome game plot. :) I don't know much about pinball history, so it's nice to learn that they have stories and whatnot!
Haha, and thanks! :) It was fun adding that "magic touch" to your signature.

Caelestis: I'm about... 60-70% done with your wallpaper. I'm tweaking the text and doing some finishing touches.
OH MY GOSH! I played flute before I joined chorus, too. We're like.. musical twins. Sort of. Kinda.
That's really awesome to hear that you're interested in handwriting analysis!
What do you plan to do in the future? (i.e. career, etc.) If you really get involved with handwriting analysis, you could be a detective of some sort. :'D

Ah yes, by erasing backgrounds, I pretty much meant getting rid of anything that isn't part of the character in the picture. If I want to take a picture of Neku from a TWEWY screenshot with all the characters, I'd like to know how to take everything that isn't Neku out.

I know you're busy, and I appreciate that you even would take any time to help me out:D

There is no "automatic" way to do that if it's a very busy background with lots of other characters, just letting you know. In situations like that, I simply erase around the character. Other people use the pen tool which selects around the character (if you want to do a clean, excellent job, it may take up to a few hours in some circumstances and depending on the image) and basically deletes the rest.

Ok, as I mentioned in PM, I'll probably give you a 5 to 10 step thing on creating a basic effect just to get you started later on.

OMG! That's amazing! Lol, musical twins...
Oh gosh, don't get me talking about the future. I have absolutely no idea. Though it's funny you mention detective, because that was an option for me for awhile. Though I doubt I'd make a good police officer
Basically, I'm either sticking with the arts (including, but not just: music; acting; dancing; writing; maybe something graphic-related, though in a slightly different direction) or sciences (psychology; forensics; maybe sociology)

Actually, because of my interest in "graphology" (technical name for that kind of handwriting analysis), I was thinking of going into forensics and specializing in handwriting analysis (the kind where you see if a check's forged, authenticity of suicide notes, etc.) but also taking a small course in graphology on the side (forensic science doesn't regard it as a fool-proof science, with good reason, but it's not a bad idea to have it, because it is used).

Anyhow, I have no idea what I'm going into :payne: Everywhere I turn to says something different. Most of those tests say I should be working with people and/or ideas. Specific tests say either arts related or psychology. But I still have a strong interest in forensics. I don't know, though.

Pie: Sure :) I have added you to the waitlist below.

Blinq: Well, I wish you luck dealing with family issues. Yeah, it'll only be a few years until you'll be living more independently from them.

Caelestis:
Spoiler:
I know someone who is going into forensic psychology. You seem like a good candidate for that (the only issue is finding a college that has a good forensic psychology program, etc.) because you list both graphology/forensics and psychology/social sciences as possible fields of interest! :) Yup, psychologists are real important with regards to detective work and forensics.

It's good that you have a multitude of interests. It's better than not having a passion in anything... I know a bunch of students who are about to graduate and STILL don't know what they want to do.

I wanted to go into a variety of fields, including: computer science, business, arts (media-related), sociology, anthropology, physics, mathematics, linguistics... and a few more.

Always keep in mind that you can always take classes as electives, so you can always have your little dosage of sociology, etc. while you complete your major. Oh, and a lot of fields are related to other fields (i.e. psychology is related to SO MANY FIELDS), so even if you major in psychology you don't have to completely rule out forensics, etc. :)) You would just have to pick a specific concentration later on. In addition, undergraduate work is not set in stone, so don't think that if you pick a certain major, it will lead directly and automatically into that career. There are many people who major in one thing but go into a different type of career.

There is hope out there!

Jenna: Ohh, that's interesting. My TAs are undergraduate TAs, so maybe they're not as dedicated as they could be if they were graduate students. *shrug* It depends on the person, I suppose. ^^;

papermario: No problem.. did you get my PM, by the way? I changed the 1000% Sparking banner :]

I'm part of a graphics community (like, a close-knit group) so I learned primarily by receiving critique, advice, and tips from my friends. Not so much from tutorials because they teach you how to imitate someone else's style rather than make your own. D:

I'm glad I'm an art idol, haha. I'm happy to inspire others through my effort and work.

I'm really annoyed because I had it look a lot better, before, but then my computer crashed and I hadn't saved it. :zenitora: And of course, where I saved it, it was at the point where if I wanted to redo it, I'd have to start all over again (I had added something to a layer before putting it on its own separate layer :( ) So I'm sorry it looks reallllly crappy looking. Thanks for the tips :edgy: I actually was looking into forensic psychology at one point. But criminal profiling interests me a little more; unfortunately, it's a newer field that hasn't gotten a whole lot of merit, and it's only really used for high-profile/FBI/etc. cases. The field is so interesting, though. But yes, forensic psychology is a difficult field to find a good college/university for. :payne: Eh, I still don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm keeping myself open. I think no matter what, I'll have some sort of degree in psychology because it's so useful, like you explained, and also because it interests me.
Thanks for the hope! :acro:

On the subject of TAs:

Spoiler: Rant Time Apparently
One of my jobs at the college I work at is similar to a TA; however, there are several duties that we do not perform. The main thing of those duties that we don't perform is grading. On the other hand, our profressor often treats us like TAs. It's an online course, so we have to make a lot of email announcements. Instead of making them herself, she'll email us what she wants us to say and ask us to post it. Our job is supposed to be reviewing material covered in lecture, and before exams we will play a game that is worth extra points. Since this is all online, naturally the entire class can't participate because of time constraints, but we vote on times to meet and the majority of the votes wins. The professor tried to get us to offer offline extra credit, but since we would have to grade it, our supervisor said no. The only students we are supposed to be concerned about are the ones that come to our weekly reviews anyway, so it makes sense to me.

Earlier in the semester she asked both of us to pick out poems from two authors no in the book to review with the class. Neither one of us has done this because we haven't' had the time. I think subconsciously we both feel that the professor should be the one to do these things since she is the one who write their exams.

This is on top of some other drama in my coworkers class that I won't get into here.

I like working with the students and helping them out, but I don't feel like the professor respects our time outside of work. We only have so many hours per work we are allowed to dedicate to this job, and our duties are pretty cut and dry.

Sorry for that Vicki, but I think I needed to let those feelings out.

I got the new banner; thanks for fixing it for me! I had some kind of thought that you'd be in an art community; but still, you do amazing work from just that? Awesome:D

I really hope to develop my own style, too. All I really need to know is how to isolate a character from a picture, and get some cool effects around them.
Like I said, please don't feel rushed, I can wait as long as needed. I'm still so psyched that you're helping me;)

Haha, and thanks! :) It was fun adding that "magic touch" to your signature.

Some do, some don't. Mostly it's just a theme around which the cabinet is designed (unless it's a really "epic" theme or license, like the Lord of the Rings pinball machine made by Stern - what would LoTR ever be without a plot?) This is one of the precious few that do, and I love it.

However, I don't think you could figure ToM's storyline out just by looking at it; the promo video really fleshes it out, and you'd have to see that to totally "get it." Finding a Theatre of Magic machine and playing it would not tell you that the girl on the backglass (the girl in my sig, because the pic in the sig is the backglass art) used to be a talentless cleaning lady. You only see her as a busty immortal.

I actually draw fanart of this pinball machine (in b4 "AP needs a life," even though that's already an established fact XD) Probably because it's the only one I can find that actually has an original concept (i.e. not based off a movie or tv show) and a story that runs deeper than a puddle. =P

Glad you enjoyed my request! The first thing a good artist does is takes pride in her work. :D

I'm kinda sick of it, it's pretty broing and all..
I just have no idea where to move now XD
I should seriously think about that more, after all it's a pretty important question x__x

Also I'm up next! :D

It really does. I mean, I've had crappy Grad TAs too, so I think actually getting a good one really depends on how into the material they are and the method they approach it with.

Hey everybody; sorry for my slight delay in responses, I was visiting my boyfriend earlier today (after 2 months of not seeing each other, woohoo!) and it's been a long, tiring day. I've been awake since 5AM and I had poor sleep last night, unfortunately. x__o;;

Caelestis:
Spoiler:
Oh, that's great! I was worried you'd dislike it because yeah, I know the picture doesn't blend SEAMLESSLY into the background because when I think of twilight, I don't think of the bright yellow/white in the original picture ^___^;;; What matters is that we're both happy with the result. :)

It wasn't torture, so don't worry! I was just concerned about the details you provided because it seemed a bit challenging at first.. but as always, I know how to reach a compromise and usually can work things out! :)

"I'm really annoyed because I had it look a lot better, before, but then my computer crashed and I hadn't saved it. :zenitora: And of course, where I saved it, it was at the point where if I wanted to redo it, I'd have to start all over again (I had added something to a layer before putting it on its own separate layer :("
That's totally happened to me before, too. At my internship, there is a computer (there are only two computers that have Photoshop installed) that is horrible because Photoshop will crash randomly. I would save the file every two seconds if I could, but the thing is, it takes an obscene amount of time to save a file (about 1 min to 2 min) because I work with very large files for flyer-purposes. >__o;

I'm actually impressed with the shining animation and the circles! Kudos :) I really like it! I also think you animated Maya well... have you looked into animation? You seem like you'd be good at that. *saves picture* :D Thanks again <33

Glad to hear you've looked into forensic psychology, etc. :D Open-mindedness is crucial for college. I cannot count how many people I know that went into a field they weren't passionate about... but it's "too late" to change your mind after so much money has been spent on tuition and everything, ya know? :/

Lunaria: That's ok, we're all here to listen to others so if you have a problem that you need to vent about, we're all ears.. eyes.

I understand your situation.. I know that professors and other faculty members are incredibly busy, but we are too. There needs to be some negotiation or something.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing some drama, too. Most of the drama that we encounter in our lives is so unnecessary but can be extremely taxing on the mind and body. ~__~

"Instead of making them herself, she'll email us what she wants us to say and ask us to post it." That is ridiculous and is basically just a matter of cut/paste. >__>;

papermario: No problem. :)

Asaki: Hahah, that's so true about the busty immortal thing. I honestly assumed she was just eye candy when I first saw the image, but after hearing that this pinball game had its own story and everything, I figured that she was more than that.

That's not lame or anything to have drawn fanart inspired by a pinball machine; hey, to me, it's being truly passionate and engaged with something, which is awesome. :) Many artists and such are probably envious of those who have a great source of inspiration for their art, fanfics, etc.

Blinq: I'm about 60% done with your signature ^^; I was out for most of today so it should be done by tomorrow. :)
I think that if you've lived in the same area for most of your life, it tends to seem boring after awhile. Though, some areas can definitely be more boring than others, i.e. an area with no stores within any walking distance, barren...

Jenna: I've had a few grad TAs that were mediocre (they did their job, but they were forgettable in the sense that I felt like they took too much of a passive role so much that I really forgot who they were), so I definitely know what you mean. >__<

Awww, that's so cute about your boyfriend. :edgy: I'm seeing mine tomorrow (though, we aren't that far away from each other, which makes me happy). I congratulate you on staying with each other for that long, despite the distance! I think it shows maturity :edgy: (sorry, I'm a sappy romantic at times. I can't help it; I love cuteness, lol)
Spoiler:
Dislike? How could I dislike anything you're willing to make for free? :edgy: Lol, I forgot about the 'twilight' description; I was trying to describe what the background of the pic looks like to me, but the colors are absolutely beautiful (they are, like, my favorite shades of blue <3) and it looks gorgeous. I simply grin whenever I see it XD

Oh, man, that sounds totally horrible, with the Photoshop thing! I'll tell you what's also annoying; having to put together a bunch of pictures, most of them you had to upload onto the computer yourself (because the person who you're doing it for didn't give you enough pics), and only having two days to put them together in an interesting movie. Oh, wait, actually that's usually a ton of fun for me... but, that's right, the movie maker program kept crashing on me after as little as five minutes!! Which is how long it takes to close the program and restart it :chinami: *sigh* That was absolute torture. Did I mention that the music I had to use with it wasn't in the right file format, so I had to also download a convertor? *sigh* At least everyone liked the result... Anyhow, great memories! Lol.

Aw, I'm glad you liked it. :edgy: I wanted to do something cool with the background, but I couldn't. I had a hard time finding what I wanted. Originally, that ball of light was going to be warped like a shooting star, but that's when the computer crashed, and I couldn't fix it to be like that, lest I start over (I put the ball of light onto the actual layer instead of its own separate layer, and it was saved like that). The pic of Maya is actually from the "official art book"; it has the "sprites" of her bowing, so I took them, touched them up a bit, and animated it! XD
That's funny you mention animating; I got started in graphics because I wanted to animate :edgy: I made sprites and downloaded GIMP in order to animate them. Then, I wanted to get Flash for my b-day, but the guy accidentally sent us the Creative Suite 3 CD (basically, I have almost all of the adobe programs :beef: ) Of course, that included Photoshop, so I got started with that. Lol.
Flash is not a very user-friendly thing, and I did get a book on it. So, I just need to find time when I have inspiration... and just learn how to use the dang thing! But I'm glad you see potential; it gives me a little more hope, lol.

Yes, I have to stay open-minded; well, it's impossible for me not to, considering the amount of interests I have... :yuusaku: I know there are a few things that I'm keeping as hobbies, but as far as career options... that I don't know when I'll decide. I know my bro didn't decide his career until his second year of college, so yeah. I think you mentioned this before, but you are able to change majors, aren't you? Or not? (if so, that makes me feel a lot better)

Spending time with your boyfriend is way more important that replying to us, Vicki. We understand.

Spoiler: More Venting
I talked to my coworker today. We hold our sessions at the same time, so when mine ended a bit early I joined hers and helped her a bit. It was really nice. Then we got to talking about our work situation. We both wished for May to get her soon because then the semester would be over and we could probably get some rest. My coworker might be working the mini semester, and I told her how much work it would be since I have worked one before. I told her to watch out and not get roped into creating lessons and such. That happened to me before and I shouldn't have done that because: one, it's not our duty to do so and two, it creates a distant between us and the students. We are supposed to be like the student's peers instead of a TA or other authoritative role. I'm glad I said something because then I learned that our professor was trying to get my coworker to plan the calendar of activities and such for each day in class. That goes way beyond our duties. I told her to tell our supervisor, who can step in and stop this.

I applied for a teaching job today. I'm having alot of fun with my classes in some ways, but these worksheets the regular teacher left are driving me up the wall. I've been trying to do me own stuff too, and I think I'll be doing more of that as the weeks go by. Some of the students are very appreciative of the help I'm giving them, but some could care less. I'm really trying to improve their writing, but right now it is a challenge.

I still want to go back to school, but I think this will help me because if I get a job, then I will finally have a way to pay for school. Of course, I couldn't go back full time, but at least I could go back.

Thank you for the comments about the fanart. I couldn't find any pinball machine fanart on dA. Maybe I'm starting a trend?

Regarding the Busty Immortal: tell me, how many magicians dress like that? XD The proportions are WAAAY exaggerated compared to the girl in the promo video. The machine was almost certainly made before the filming of the promo video, so that may or may not explain things. Here's some screencaps for comparison:

When you see it...

Then again, the artist of ToM is no stranger to eye candy. Have you seen the flyer for Riverboat Gambler, a pinball machine by Williams? Same artist. And here's the flyer for Cirqus Voltaire which is also by the same artist, not to mention REALLY FREAKIN' BRIGHT. GOD.

Oh, that's great that you're seeing your boyfriend! How far away do you live from each other? :) Lucky you! I don't live too far away from my boyfriend either (approx. an hour and a half), but during the school year it's almost impossible to find time to meet up since we go to different colleges.

Aw, thanks! :) We've been together for more than 2 years now, going on 3. Yes, LDR-type of relationships are difficult to maintain... I had one during my high school years and it ended in disaster because it was based on a "puppy love" type of thinking, rather than a mature relationship.

I love blue, too :D Yes, I like how ethereal it came out. Like.. very calming and serene, which I think is what you were goin' for.

That sucks about the movie maker program :(! Wow.. haha, that sounds like a horrible experience. I'm surprised you actually completed the project, I would be cursing under my breath the entire time.

Oh, I did notice that you seemed to have some experience with animating :) Yes, Flash seems complicated (to me), but wow.. if you learned Flash, you could do really impressive things. Let me know when you pick up animating or learn Flash.. I would love to see your creations!

Of course, of course. You can always change your major/minor/etc. plans... the longer you wait to do it, it's more of a pain, as you may imagine. I would suggest that you keep in mind that you can always double-minor or double-major in several fields, so don't feel pressured to change your major if you feel doubtful or confused. I know some people who changed their major and they have to stay in college for a few more years to fulfill those requirements... sucks, because the classes you took for your original major may not even count at all for a changed major so it's basically wasted money/credit! o__x; It's a tough situation; gotta weigh the pros and cons.

Lunaria:

"We are supposed to be like the student's peers instead of a TA or other authoritative role."
I totally understand what you mean. If it's not your duty you're basically spending ALL this effort on making lessons or schedules when you also have your NORMAL responsibilities to worry about! :| I'm glad to hear that your coworker will be talking to your supervisor about her situation.

Good luck on the teaching job! *crosses fingers* :)

"I still want to go back to school, but I think this will help me because if I get a job, then I will finally have a way to pay for school. Of course, I couldn't go back full time, but at least I could go back."
"Real world" experience is very useful, so I think you're doing fine. It's a good plan to save some now and think about school later (even if it's part-time.. most people can't do full-time anyway).. especially with the current state of the economy. Sigh, so many people I've met recently have lost their jobs.

Asaki: It would be an awesome trend! :D
Ahahah.. I wrote my senior research paper on women in video games so I know what you mean about this illogical EYE CANDY theme that's prevalent in lots of media and such. Random woman with big boobs! Ok! >__o;

Your side-by-side comparisons with the busty immortal and everything are hilarious - the difference between the RL picture and the busty immortal... hahaha.

I've never seen that flyer, but yeah, I know what you mean. I always think of comic book art styles when I see random busty women on flyers or covers like those.

Bitter Godot: Sure :)

Hi there Vicki!

I'm, as always, stopping here to say hello and comment on my situation and other stuff.

I'm glad to hear you had time to spent with your boyfriend I'm still waiting here for the one :bellboy: .
It's shocking you haven't seen him in two months! So you're THAT busy!? I just wish you good luck with that.
Puppy love based relationship... that's a new word to me :redd: But what you say it's really true those relationships are not really serious nor mature. I had years seing those kind of couples break up... and come back a thousand times... but to be honest I'm not interested in that, I'm still a kid if we think about it, I'm 14 dammit! (Well, going to 15 but it's the same sh*t)
I'm going to enjoy the last years of real childhood and don't worry for couple issues until I'm... I don't know, you tell me please.

How've you been doing with papers, projects, etc.? Cause last times you said you had a lot of papers to do or that you were doing.

Well now starting with me: mmm... I had a good week I suppose. In my school we celebrated easter today and we left earlier. I'm getting tired and tired every day, I get asleep in classes and can't write the notes I need to study for my tests or the themes I have to include in my reports, etc. I'm starting to feel ashamed for not being able to control my sleep during the day or at least during the morning for classes.

These days I've been trying to make portraits of people in a cartoon style but they always say they don't like how they see and make me erase the drawing but just some times I agree with them. One classmate has told me she would like to see a portrait for herself but for now she doesn't like what I've done for now. Any advices for these two problems?

I'm still trying to draw some stuff but I don't have any acces to the scanner cause of technical issues. So I'm just uploading part of my work on paint in photobucket I guess you could watch how is it. Jus tell me what you think (this goes for everyone)
Spoiler: Resident Evil KISSed or REKISSed

Well... I suppose that's everything I had to say in here.

Good bye.

Best Wishes
Gray Godot.

Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

Spoiler:
Ja, just saw him today :edgy: We only live, like, fifteen minutes away. We go to the same high school, so a lot easier time seeing him! (we don't have lunch together, which was a luxury we had before. Also not as many classes together. Obviously, nothing in comparison to not seeing each other for two months, but hey, first real boyfriend what do you expect?

Aw, that's so cute! :edgy: I know what "puppy-dog" love is like; even when you go to the same school, it doesn't work out well :yogi:

Hehe, I like blues and purples. Mostly purples. Well, my favorite is the mix of them, periwinkle, but hey. I've always liked the "misty, ethereal or pastel" shades of colors.

Lol, yes, movie maker. *rolls eyes* I'm surprised I got through it, too. Two late nights, and blood-shot eyes, but I got through it! That's not as bad as a school project I had to do with Windows Movie Maker. So, I had to do this movie thing with a group of people. We had a script and such, but because of stupid last-minute scheduling with theatre for some of the people in the group (including me), we couldn't film it early. So we had to film most of the thing the Sunday before it was due! Not only that, I had to stay up to finish editing the thing! And after all that crap, the stupid program wouldn't let me convert the file into a DVD!! :chinami: I had to bring the dang laptop to school to play it for everybody. AUGH! We did finally, after the fact, get it to DVD. I still don't know what the problem was, but now I know to not do movie stuff on the laptop (I've had problems in the past with the laptop). Anyhow...

I'll let you know :edgy: Honestly, the hardest thing so far for me is getting the characters drawn! Can you believe it? I'm even fine with the whole timing thing (which most apparently hate); it's just drawing everything! I'm thinking of doing some stick-figure thing sometime... I still gotta figure out some basic functions to help me (like, how to make the frames lower in opacity so you can draw the other frame more accurately)

*phew* That's reassuring about the whole major/minor thing. I'm going to most likely have to double major, even maybe double minor. Yeah, I don't want to totally waste the credits, but knowing me, I'll probably not mind what the class taught me, anyhow (unless it was a very bad class, lol).

Sorry so long, didn't mean for it to be.

I could try to draw something though :yuusaku:

Gray Godot:
Spoiler:
I'm not too fond of being involved in relationships during middle school (ages 12-15..ish) because at that time, everything was about finding yourself and having a boyfriend at the time would bring more teenage drama than necessary in my life.
Back then, it's also more about many misconceptions about relationships that bug me, like when some women assume that their boyfriends must read their mind and therefore never communicate openly about their problems! :|

I used to stonewall a lot when I was in my first, "puppy love"-type of relationship. That is, stonewalling is when you refuse to answer why you're angry/upset, basically blocking the effective route to positive problem-solving and open communication.

Nowadays, in this much more mature relationship, we both agree to stay very honest and open with each other. It's helped immensely and there's this incredible amount of trust that has formed over the years. :)

With papers and projects, I'm doing well. I still have a lot to do, but I'm not as panicky as I used to be about them, haha. I surprisingly accomplished a lot during this week! :)

Oh, why are you getting more tired? Not enough sleep at night? Insomnia?

"These days I've been trying to make portraits of people in a cartoon style but they always say they don't like how they see and make me erase the drawing but just some times I agree with them. One classmate has told me she would like to see a portrait for herself but for now she doesn't like what I've done for now. Any advices for these two problems?"
That's very rude for them to say that they simply don't like your drawing but do not offer any constructive criticism. In order to improve, you need constructive criticism, not a short answer like, "That's good" or "That's bad."

Psst.. your Photobucket album is private. ^^;

aqua: Aw, thanks, I'm glad!! :) Let me know if you need anything else in the future.

Caelestis:
Spoiler:
No need to apologize about the length of your posts, mine are as long! XD

That's awesome that you only live fifteen minutes away from each other :) Yeah.. take advantage of the fact that you're even able to see each other several times a week! o__x;

Your story about moviemaker is unfortunate >__<; Technology always seems to want to screw around with us and make us miserable at the most inopportune times, yet I still love technology. <3

You could make your frames as layers and then individually adjust the opacities of the others while you're drawing on a new layer, I think. Not entirely sure, though.

I'm a double major and I'm actually graduating on time because luckily, many of the classes in both of my majors satisfy the same requirements (so it's like taking one particular class would "poke" ((I hate saying "kill")) two birds with one stone).
I also have a minor, and wanted to double minor (which I apologize if I said that before).. but decided it would be overkill and I didn't want to stay as an undergraduate for three more years or anything.

To add onto this convo~ how's school? Are you currently playing any video games or watching any anime?

papermario: Sounds good :D

Blinq: The fact that you are thankful and nice is good enough; there is no payment necessary. :) The purpose of this service is to make others happy. You tend to post in here routinely, so that's also a big help!

I'm also happy that I've made your day. Hooray, mission accomplished. x]

Hope everyone has a super weekend!~

Thank you for answering.

It's good you have a good and honest relationship, the comunicational problems are the ones that more damage commit in a couple.

I'm glad to hear you're doing fine and fast with your papers and other stuff. Sometimes we can get surprized by one of the most tiny things in the world: our own skills.

Yes, I'm getting kind of tired as days pass. Maybe I have problems to sleep or something. Insomnia?...mmm... who knows, I'll try to remember about the last few weeks, but maybe I'm having issues to sleep, nothing more...

It's not as rude as it seems but yes, they haven't told me how could I improve their portraits and just start saying :"Agh! Erase it! Bla-bla-BlA!" I'll have to start asking some questions about how should I draw them so they don't get mad. :payne:

:beef: :beef: Oops! (I'm a great, big and tremendous asshole!) :bellboy: :bellboy:

Thanks for the advices! (Including the warning about my album) I :will: be more careful next time.
I just edited my last post with a... sample of my work on paint.

Thanks again!
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

Spoiler:
*phew* That's a relief. Sometimes I can be a little long-winded, as I'm trying to tell most/whole story, ya know? XD

We do see each other at school and at theatre after school, so that's good. LDR sound intimidating, but it takes a level of maturity that I hope to reach, should I ever fall into that situation :yuusaku:

Technology; I know. Sometimes it drives you crazy, but you can't live without it :edgy:

That's great that you'll be graduating on time! Haha, poke two birds XD Sounds much more friendly. But that's cool that that class helps your two majors. Yes, unfortunately, if I can't make up my mind which interest I should pursue, I might fall into the double major and double minor  We'll see, though. I mean, I don't want to get out of college when I'm 30 or something, but I do want to make sure I get the credits I need... well, the credits depend on my majors, soooo...

I was on break from school, this week, and that was uber-relaxing. School's doing okay, though theatre is going to be rough when I come back. It's getting down to crunch time, because we're opening at the end of the month :beef: I luckily have all my material memorized and covered, but of course, there are some others who may get yelled at... :payne:

I've lately been reading the online manga The Liar Game. It is pretty interesting, but some of the stuff gets a little over my head (I think it's "seinein"? Is that right? It's the genre that's more "intellectual" A lot like Death Note, apparently (never read/seen DeathNote, so I don't know). I think the interesting thing is that it starts off as seeming like a "damsel in distress rescued by ultra-smart hot guy with a dark past" but the main girl character actually gets stronger will-wise and "saves" the main guy character at one point (that moment was utterly fantastic; favorite moment for me in the entire manga so far). The drawing style is a bit strange, but it grows on you. I thought it was pretty neat.

Haven't really had time to watch much anime. I do want to finish Princess TuTu (the pic the left of the sig you made is a scene from it); it's a very corny anime, but I like ballet, so the references to famous ballets makes me smile. The romance (sorry, sappy tastes  ) is pretty cute, too, IMO.

I'm finishing Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles on the DS. It's... okay. Not really the greatest detective video game. It stinks because they really do set it up for a good detective-esque game, but the characters fall a little flat (it doesn't help that they only have one sprite for each; little-to-no-emotion), even though they are very likable characters (the nice thing is that the detective isn't ultra-stereotypical detective). The mysteries seem interesting, but again, it's just not naturally engaging, you know?

Harru, Vicki! I'm here to waste your time again, woooo! 8D

You've probably got loads on your plate as always, but if you have the time, do you think you'd be able to belt out a new signature for me, please? ^^

Spoiler: Request
Text: (on the top left side of the sig) be quiet... (on the bottom right side) big girls don't cry.
Image(s): this'un and this'un, please. Young Vera, I'd prefer to be on the left, and older on the right - like a transition into being older, or something. :eh?:
Color scheme: Hmmm... I'll let you choose, milady.
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): Nopey. :3 Unless you feel like making angsty Vera brush strokes, or something XP

Thank you for your time! How've you been? I always mean to check in and ask, but there's usually so many posts that I get lazy XPP Little Miss Popular! Buuwaah.

It always sucks when you get one of those, doesn't it? A bad TA can almost ruin a class for you, but alternately, I've had good TAs save a class I would have otherwise hated.
