2nd) does the character voice you dub have to sound like their objection(if they have one) I highly doubt manfred and payne sound that way all the time.

Because technically we have complete creative control over these voices, we could actually make 3 or more different objection sounds that depends on the state of mind when the objection is given.
Of course, it's just my opinion.

As for the question of whether to use game footage in this project, I very much vote FOR using the game videos. Better to watch and listen at the same time :)
Very good points about the objections and take thats, etc. I do plan to do the same thing in my recordings when a different tone/emotion is called for.

Lord Nathaniel, nice work for bellboy lines, ill send them to zulshin once case 1 is up.
Now if i know my instincts....there is one final person....Matt gumshoe (the Judge) has still got to send us his lines for case 1...or has he sent them off already? please let me know if you sent them off, Your honor! lol
And my vote for the video thing is WITH the footage, as it would be easier and plus the lines of Phoenix, Edgeworth, Mia and Maya would be easier (as they have those thinking to themselves parts(the bits in blue text)).

Well as zulshin said, it seems to be no videos (which means it will be like sapphires). But that mean for Phoenix(shinkinrui), Edgeworth(Bigbrownie(aka me)) Mia(fenrir) and Apollo Justice(WHEN WE PUT THAT ROLE UP). We need to do the thinking lines(the lines in blue) aswell. Try make those lines different to your normal voice for the character if u can, like add an effect or something.

Also, I just came up with what I think it a BRILLIANT idea. You've all seen the Games section of the forums, right? There are programs being developed by some awesome folks that will actually allow people to make their own Phoenix Wright fangames. The one I'm most excited about is PWLib, since it's the closest to release AND seems to have the most flexibility.
Anyway, my point is this ... what if this team actually expanded this project a little bit. What if we actually dubbed the Phoenix Wright series, but made it PLAYABLE at the same time? I mean, remake the the series using PWLib, but add in the voice acting we're doing!
Granted, it would require much more work, not only by the voice actors(who will need to read a lot more lines), but for whatever kind soul steps forward to actually do the code work for recreating the games. But think about the end product ... that would be an epic piece of fanwork!

Well I use a recording program called Audacity (its freeware), and after you record you would select the entire clip and go to Effect at the top and click on Echo. It's a good recording program, you can do lots of effects to it.
I will start looking into the programs here in CR in a few hours and ask the creators in them if their program allows for voice insertion. Let you all know what I find as soon as I learn.

For the echo thing, when I added echo I used these numbers:
Delay time (seconds): .18
Decay factor: .30
That seemed to add a decent echo effect without it being over-the-top.
Thanks for looking into the options for making a game out of this, Ghaleon. I think you'll find that PWLib by KSATech will probably be the best choice. He's got a lot of great features and allows for the most flexibility(because you basically actually code the entire game using his simple programing langauge/library). The first release will be pretty soon, and will come with enough tutorials to learn how to code a good game. I'll definitely be tinkering with it and learning, so I'm willing to help the main coder(once we get one) with it and be support. I can't commit to doing it myself right now, but if no one steps forward I may volunteer later on. Hopefully someone else will volunteer, though. I'm a slow worker when it comes to this kind of thing.
tl;dr: Audacity is great, see link. Use PWLib when it comes out to code the games, I'm willing to help.
