You know, I actually have to attend a party this coming Sunday at that diner I talk about. I WOULD be at the pinball con that day, but...
Well anyhow, as you know, it has Black Rose. And one other pinball machine (Road Show at the moment, but that may change. Black Rose replaced Whirlwind.) That's the first time I saw a Bally there, the other machines are usually Williams. So I'll have access to two pinball machines. Better than nothing.
Oh! And for Easter I got a Theatre of Magic promotional plastic. Upon a machine's release the manufacturer releases keychains and other promotional items to promote it. So I strung my plastic upon a chain and I wear it around my neck to A) add to my collection of kitschy jewelry B) show people how much of a life I may or may not have and C) make the best pinball game ever made wearable. Here's a picture of the one I have, since there were actually a ton of different promotional items for it. The picture is from a website that sells it for $15.
Oh lord, I'm totally alienating you with this pinball crud, aren't I? =P I have a tendency to do that, and for that I apologize~

Hmm.. seems like there's a bit of confusion here!
To make it clear, this thread is NOT ONLY for signatures, avatars, and wallpapers.
I can make a variety of different graphics such as tags, ID cards, and so on.
(I may make a separate thing for these other types of graphics later since they usually take less time to make than a signature, etc... but just know that you can request them in here for now)
The same rules apply, though - you shouldn't request like 2348923487294 graphics at once because you should be respectful of my schedule, BUT in general, you are allowed to request an unlimited number of graphics from me if you space the requests out.
Tags also have a white background, so keep this in mind.

As I've stated above, everyone is able to request a tag from me, they just need to specify what type of graphic they want in their form (e.g. "May I please request a tag?") :3
Tags and signatures are two different things because tags will have white backgrounds and usually do not fit the 600x200 CR sig limits (they look nicer if they're bigger), just fyi.

Actually, that's exactly it. I don't know much about plastics except that Theatre of Magic is the best pinball machine ever made and NEEDS to be worn in public, but yes, plastics are promotional items. A brief history on plastics can be found in the below spoiler for your convenience. They're also called keychain fobs, which explains the little hole in them and lack of chain when you get one.
Fifteen bucks is a relatively fair price; I saw the exact same keychain on eBay for $25 new old stock, and mint...it was twice as much.
Yessir, pinball is an expensive business, but that's exactly why I'm going to law school. Or med school (I've been tossing the idea of surgery around in my head.) Or simply being an english major. All awesomely profitable careers.
And before I go off on any more rants, congrats on 1,000 posts!!

The IPDB (Internet Pinball Database) is a site for general pinball information, trivia, and opportunities to rate and comment on pinball machines. Just like the IMDB, except for pinball. It's not a forum, but it's very similar to the aforementioned IMDB in terms of posting and display of comments. Yes, there is a very dedicated pinball community out there. I'm too young to fully dedicate myself to it (school, lack of funds), but I'm a hardcore player.
Oh yeah, and regarding ToM's position on the Top 10: it went back to #5 for a moment (I was going to edit my post but forgot) but now it's back at #4 again! Just goes to show you that pinballers have wicked taste in all things awesome.

It's funny how the general public is quite unaware of the pinball fandom.. I myself never really thought about it much or how there could be pinball conventions and such. I know of other geeky fandoms such as Magic the Gathering, but that's about it.

Everyone get stressed about schoolwork sometimes, I hope it is not too much for you. Oh... your finals... I hope you can deal with that nicely and then can come up here and laugh a little bit about it.
Apart from answering I want to say a few things: Today in a market I found a Resident Evil toy of a "HUNTER" and I am so happy about it that I studied maths while talking to it... if you want to tell me I am a crazy boy have the freedom to say it.XD (it costed me... like 3 dollars and something else... I made a random aproximation)

I've loved pinball since I was a small(er) girl. I played it compulsively but never really knew there was a fandom for it. Now that I'm a teenager - the age group in which geekiness blossoms best - I'm starting to seek out conventions and stuff. Good to know there's one near me. I WOULD be going this saturday but you know my situation by now due to my excess angsting about it. But really, it does kinda suck.
My cousin is going to the Marines and we had a going-away party for him last night. Another one of my cousins was at the party, and he's big into gaming too, so I told him about the pinball fandom and all my favorites. I asked him about Theatre of Magic and he's like "Oh yeah, I've played that one. That's the one with the girl on the board?"
MY GOD WAS I JEALOUS. I don't actually own or play the machine outside of PinMAME. (I may have played it when I was very young, but I have no memory of it.) He played it while he was attending university in the mid-late 1990s. It came out in 1995 so that makes a lot of sense.

Yeah, my sleep schedule hasn't quite recovered since, but I'm getting back into things. The fact that I don't have papers in that class for a few weeks is helping a lot though.
I love most of Spacecoyote's art, but that pic in particular I've been fond of for a while.

I only have two finals this year, so it's not so bad. It's just that I have to read six full chapters (about thirty to forty pages each).. and I feel like I have a mild case of senioritis (feeling more lazy than usual in your senior year of high school, or in my case, college because you're so close to graduation).

I'm doing well. I'm having fun teaching ninth grade. It is a lot of work, but everyone at the school in the English department seems to love me (at least the ones that have talked to me and such). The Department chair wishes they had an opening because she said she'd love to have me on her staff. She's trying to get me a job in the alternative school until an opening comes up at the regular school.
It is an Asus laptop. We got it gently used from a friend of ours that upgraded to a Mac. When my husband finishes playing his game I will get on it and find out the screen resolution and post my specifications for the wallpaper. Would you like those in the original request post or a new one since I technically didn't make an specifications yet?

Spacecoyote does some amazing work with the 1-5 characters, i actually discovered her because of her Jake/Lana pic that I stumbled onto during a Deviantart search. I've become a bit of an art fan/stalker of hers since I watch her on DA and keep an eye on her tegaki. XD That was a pretty awesome sprite set and speaking of Neil, she recently did a great pic of the Marshall brothers.

Hardcore pinball players are comparable to wine tasters. They'll take every flavor into account and see how well it blends together. A means to emulate REAL pinball tables - not like what comes with Windows. It's the real-ish deal. Lots of time and effort went into recreating the tables visually by individual people. Only the ROMs were ripped from the machines - the rest? Entirely hand-rendered, snapped, and placed accordingly. Insane.
