UPDATE: I'm going to be on/off for the next few days and this weekend because I'mmmmmmm GRADUAAAAAAAATINGGGGGGGG :)
Tomorrow night is my honors ceremony, and then the main ceremony is on Friday morning. ^________^
Saturday will probably be my recovery day, hehe.

BB: Glad you like it :D
Claire: :) You're very welcome.

Asaki: Oh, ok. At least you may have a chance! :) I'll cross my fingers for you.
Huh.. I always thought Jersey was boring.

Hahah, Mortal Kombat-like style. Fun.
OHNO:( Oh no he didn't! I just checked now, and it's #6 again. Closer!

That sounds like a freakin' awesome idea! I'd be happy to contribute like a banner or something when the project comes along.

Lunaria: It's a human resources internship at an advertising network in New York City. I'm so excited - I've wanted to work in the city because that's where I'll be going to graduate school in the fall. :)
My other two internships: One internship is in my university's career center as a graphics intern, and then one is at a non-profit organization (helps the homeless and other communities) as a human resources intern

Jenna: Good luck on getting an internship! :) If you (or anyone else) needs help with resume review, I can do that. I've been offering free resume suggestions/advice for my friends recently. ^^

Haha, how is it, being at a party school? Mine isn't a party school at all, which makes the students even more restless and annoyed. >__>;

Nadindi: Haha, "Thank Godot" is a funny phrase. Good one!
For internships, I answered that above re: Lunaria, but yeah.. I'm excited for these opportunities. :)

I don't have many interesting books on sale on Amazon right now, unfortunately. However, I'll be opening up a LiveJournal and selling most of my non-Amazon stuff there (it'll be better since Amazon can sometimes take a hefty part of the earnings). I'll link it here when I uploaded all pictures and everything if anyone's interested.

Hahah, I can't believe your friend tripped over that. I'm clumsy and trip over random things, but can't say I've ever tripped over a banana skin..

BlackCoffee: No problem :)

Lind_L_Tailor: What is your screen resolution?
Sure thing to your request; I'll add you to the waitlist.

Baron: I LOVE RHYTHM HEAVEN :D

Congratulations, Vicki!!!! I'm finishing my sophomore year of high school and just ordered my class ring for the junior ceremony next year. My school offers exemptions for final exams, and I met all the criteria, so I happen to get out of school six days earlier than those who take the finals! Enough about me, though - congrats. Best of luck on all your future endeavors! *hums Pomp & Circumstance*

I'm planning on majoring in forensic pathology - loooooong education, but extremely worth it. Undergrad + med school + clinical pathology residency + forensic pathology fellowship = 13 years of my life, but a six-figure salary and awesome job (which means several pinball machines in the basement, including You-Know-What) - good thing I have an iron stomach (I come from a family rooted in rural areas; and I've bitten off much more than I could chew in terms of gore and dead stuff.)

Believe me - living in Pennsylvania makes dust bunnies seem amusing in comparison. Philadelphia is beautiful, though, especially when you see the Jefferson Bridge at night, leading straight into Camden, NJ.

Yeah, and DIARRHEA FATALITIES. *shudders*

I swear to God, I think I put a curse on the Top 10 or something. I just checked now, and it's #7 again. :<

I know!!!! The scary part is, unlike most lofty dreams of mine, it's actually possible. It just pops in and out of my head. My art skillz aren't mad enough to draw the ideas I have in mind, and my tablet sucks, but I might be able to manage with some practice. I've drawn some of the table plots out on paper. And music...what can be done for music? MP3s of character themes? Rip the AWESOME scaryish music from ToM? I didn't play with the Visual Pinball program enough to make a table, but I will look at it and see if VB really is necessary.

EDIT EDIT EDIT
I fiddled around with it and yeah, it is pretty complicated, but not TOTALLY out of my reach (now it is, but with some more fiddling I should learn.) The default table size is 1000x2000 (width x height) so if you were to put an image on the table, you'd have to size it 1000x2000 if you wanted it to take up the whole table. But you'd have to move the details kind of to the left, otherwise it'd get stuck behind the plunger area and stuff. I don't even know how to get the lights or score working yet, so it's VERY far away from escaping the drawing board. But once I learn everything, maybe I'll come to you for some of the playfield!
----

Side note: I WANT RHYTHM HEAVEN SO BADDDD. I'm too young for a job, so I have to make do with allowance. I love WarioWare - is it a lot like that? It looks like it is.

I'm playing Castlevania: OoE right now. AMAZING GAME. I'm 92% done, 20 hours in. I got to Dracula and tried beating him to no avail thus far. I'm concentrating on leveling Shanoa up first (I have her at level 51 right now, and even though her attack stat is pretty high, she could still use some work.)

Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

The article was good, but it seemed to have kind of a mean streak to it (although I do agree that the official Expo site was kind of atrocious. :godot:) It was written as if he was dragged there by the hair, it seems. Maybe it was. (I'm only fifteen, but I LOVE pinball as much as the older, more dedicated players. Apparently I'm weird?)

I didn't see ToM in any of the pictures, but I visited the official site, which gave a link to ZBall, who was in charge of the Expo's tournament. They have various competitions at different places, one of them being the Courthouse Hotel.

Lo and behold:

Spoiler: Look to the left of Spider-Man.

Granted, that picture is of the Courthouse Hotel, not the expo, but it's home to the Pinball Comp nonetheless and is sort of affiliated with the expo since ZBall runs tourneys there too, so that's really cool.

That last one is Tales of the Arabian Nights. I wasn't sure myself, I just looked it up after faintly making out the words "Arabian Nights" and searching for it on IPDB. =P

Asaki: I found even MORE articles on the SBE. Apparently, there were some pinball tables (I think that is nwhat you call them :-P) on sale in an auction as well. Unfortunately, ToM wasn't there, but Black Rose was! It sold for AUS $1,700 (USD $1,322)

Thanks for the congratulations!! :)
The ceremony was long and drawn out, as always, but I had a great time overall. The best part was going to the Women and Gender Studies (WAGS) ceremony - it was so personal and like a family reunion, unlike the Psychology ceremony where you had to fill out name cards and it's as if no one knew who you were.

All of my friends were at the WAGS ceremony. I was one of few who had the cap/gown because I had a few honor cords, etc. that I wanted to wear for pictures and the main ceremony. It's red, which I'm not a big fan of.. I like black graduation robes. :)

The weather yesterday was about 85 degrees -__-'' Not so fun to stand/sit in the sunlight for two hours, so thank goodness it's just one day!

I helped my friend bake cupcakes for the WAGS ceremony and I made the WAGS logo - my friend then printed them on edible paper/whatever it is and placed them on top of the cupcakes. I'll post pictures later!! They were certainly a hit :D

In summary, I had an amazing time and I'll miss college. The past four years have been absolutely awesome; I've learned so much and have met so many great people. :)

QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO CAN ANSWER:
Does anyone know the source of this fanart?
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/5170/005nmq.jpg
Thank you!

individual responses:
Nadindi: I have a variety of things that will be for sale: plushies, accessories (jewelry, scarves, etc.), clothing items (new/hardly worn shirts, t-shirts), stationery (sanrio, stickers, etc.), bags, purses, books, maybe a few video games

I've never tripped over something like that, but I do consider myself a klutz sometimes. Just a few days ago I was in a hurry and I tripped over something when I entered a room... and then I tripped over it again when I had to leave the room. Haha :)
How about you?

Baron: Thanks for the link :)
Lind_L_Tailor: No problem, you're next on the list.

Asaki: :D Congratulations and that's amazing about the exemptions! You must be so happy to get out earlier, haha.
Oooo, your intended major sounds awesome. It's great that you have such ambition already - it will definitely motivate you through college, something that many students lack.

Ahahah, that's great that you've planned everything out and included pinball machines in your future. That's beautiful :D

I've only been to Philadelphia once in sixth grade or so.. other than that, my experience with Pennsylvania is extremely limited. XD

That's awesome that the project wouldn't be completely impossible! :DD I'm excited for the possibilities.
Yep, Rhythm Heaven is like WarioWare. It's challenging for me because I'm not great at rhythm games - it just takes practice.

I have Castlevania, too! I haven't started playing yet, but due to your recommendation, I think I'll start relatively soon. Thanks!

Wow, your graduation sounded good. I love how gender studies is WAGS - shows the kind of stereotypical view of footballers' wives, no?

And cool, I'm thinking i'll like some of your stuff. ;p Is there going to be anything GS related?

And yeah, I'm a klutz too. XD Just today, we had a barbecue, and I reached over the table to get something and burned my arm on a just-cooked corn on the cob. Owchie. XD I've never been SERIOUSLY injured from klutziness though. You?

I'm glad that at least one of your graduation ceremonies was personal. Mine wasn't at all, but it was a lot classier than the one they had for my boss when she graduated. They rushed through everyone's names to so it would end faster. They would call a name, but that person hadn't even made it to the stage yet.

Congratulations again.

GDM: No problem. :)

Nadindi: I'm not a fan of the acronym WAGS myself, but I'm happy that we're changing the name to incorporate a broader sense of gender studies. :) I never knew that WAGS was a term for that, so that's indeed interesting.. come to think of it, my WST (it just recently changed to WAGS) professor is from England and she made a funny remark about the name change. It all makes sense now!

Yeah, actually. I'm selling my blue badger hat and maybe a few other things. Not sure what the "few other things" includes yet.

Ow.. I'm sorry you got burned! o__x'
I've never seriously hurt myself from klutziness, thank goodness. It's mostly tripping on things and stubbing my toe on something.

Lunaria: ARGH, my honors ceremony was like that. They would call someone's name before they even got to the stage and eventually it lagged about one or two students behind. It's unfortunate that it's so impersonal.. it's nice that they want to call the names, but things get frustrating when there's still so many students to be called.

At my main ceremony, they said that 5,431 students graduated but only about 2,000 made it to the ceremony. I'm impressed with the size of the stadium the ceremony was held in :)

My records seem to suggest this website as the source, although the artist has since changed the website around so I'm having trouble finding that picture on the website, so I can't swear to it. The art style seems similar to the picture on the main page though. I'm sorry. I wish that I could be more helpful.

Vicki! Congrats on your graduation!! :edgy:

*sigh* So I went to the 3D Design Class. It seems like a lot of fun, but I'm going to need to work hard, because I unfortunately missed a crucial day, and I hope I won't fall too far behind... :payne:

BTW, on an unrelated note, does anyone know a good a) web host, where I could host my own webpage and be able to upload manga-esque graphics without too much trouble, but also allow people to comment and such? and b) website maker (like, actually desigining the website) so that I can upload the pics and also design the webpage background, font, etc. myself? I do have Adobe Illustrater, if that's a good program (it might not be...)
I'll tell you guys later what's going on, IF this idea I'm planning does take off. But I'm very unknowlegeable in that area, so I was hoping you guys could help me. :larry: Thanks!

That is a VERY good price for Black Rose! I'm surprised it went for so low.

Yeah, the exemption policy's awesome. I am so happy!! It was hard to pick something that interested me, made good money, and suited my level of intellegence, but when I did I was like "EAT YOUR HEART OUT EMA SKYE."

AJAA was right about having to pass a test, which Ema failed in the game. In the US there is a pathology board that administers and grades a pathology test; board certification is a must in order to get a residency, which is also required for forensic pathology.

Quite beautiful, indeed. I am very future-minded, and I love having things in perfect order for when I get out into the big, bad world.

Speaking of pinball, I was playing The Addams Family (Top 10 number 2) at my cousin's wedding reception. Great game, funny and true to the series. That game deserves its spot. But THEATRE OF MAGIC IS STILL #7 aaaaaargh. >:o It needs the top spot like NOW.

There are online tutorials for Visual Pinball, so that should make it kind of easier, but it will still take a TON of work. After I get everything worked out on paper and in the program, I'm gonna give it a shot.

Just got Rhythm Heaven yesterday. Adorable and addictive game. It is much tougher than WarioWare though, and I'm good at rhythm games and still find it pretty difficult...still, a wonderful and cute game!

Is the version of Castlevania you have the new one, Order of Ecclesia? I HIGHLY recommend it. I JUST finished that, my file read 23 hours. I won't spoil it, except that it's a beatuiful-looking and beautiful-sounding game, and that the ending almost had me in tears, it was so touching and well-done.

No probs. I just thought I might share. The remix is better than the original.

That is a VERY good price for Black Rose! I'm surprised it went for so low.

No probs again. :D

So it's hard, eh? Good, I'm looking for a challenge.

I like Trucy/Polly and VerApollo. It's the Uchihacest/ItaSasu/Sanocest/Garyuucest fan in me talking, I guess.
And could you possibly find time to make an avatar?
This request is a bit complicated, because it has 2 parts.
Spoiler: The Image

I'd like the colors to be blues, blacks, whites, and some bright scarlet poppyish color if possible, and the text would be:
Flamboyant? Who's flamboyant? (or Flamboyance? What's that? could you maybe do both)
and this might be difficult but could you make an 100x100 version as well? that one could be animated its okay i need it for another site but i trust your graphics the most. Thanx!

Haha, it's all in good fun. It's more like "continuing the legacy." Forensic stuff is awesome.

If it's a challenge you want, it's a challenge you'll get. A lot of other rhythm games are too easy for me, with the exception of Pop'n Music and Beatmania IIDX (both Japan-only.) Like those two, this is hard enough to keep me playing until the end, and it keeps me from getting annoyed at it because it's just so darn cute.

I would think its safe to say that the background is green because most of the sprite pages have green backgrounds.

I've only just stopped to realise that not everyone in the world calls Footie wives Wags. XD How stupid I am. It probably is one of our absurd british terms. Glad I cleared it up, though. (However unintentionally. XD))

The few other things could be a surprise. =D

It wasn't too bad a burn, just an annoying yelp kind of burn. XD Thank goodness you haven't hurt yourself badly - I haven't either but I have the sneaking suspicion I will eventually. >< Not a good thought. XD

The green background it just because I took the sprites from the sheet, which has a green background. I didn't bother transparentize it, as Vicki can do that when she makes the avatar :butzthumbs:

Haha, how is it, being at a party school? Mine isn't a party school at all, which makes the students even more restless and annoyed. >__>;

Thanks, I'll definitely take you up on that offer at some point. ^.^

It actually sort of sucks to be at a party school because the parties here start on "thirsty" Thursday and run until Monday. It makes it sort of hard to get work done if you're like me and pretty much lack a social life outside Class and SCA. Also, it's caused some serious problems with the local authorities. Halloween here is huge and they actually have to station cops on the beach side cliffs to tackle anyone who gets to close because there's been a large number of fatalities from people getting drunk and walking off the edge. There were something like 330 people injured at the Halloween celebration, so that kind of is an indicator of how wild things get here. The campus housing was pretty much on lock down (I actually went home to avoid the whole mess and it was probably a pretty smart idea from what I heard).

@___@''
Sorry for not being around all day today... it's Memorial Day weekend and so my mom and I accomplished a lot with my room. We basically moved every piece of furniture around, making more room for my desk, painted two walls so that they matched my other walls (we did 1/2 the room a few months ago), and then I had to clean up everything, placing books back on their shelves, clothing back into the drawers... It's been A CRAZY DAY and I am exhausted. Woot.

Mia: Thank you!! I had a feeling you would come up with an answer since you're very reliable with sources. :)
Caelestis: Thank you!
I'm sorry that you're falling behind in 3D class :/ Do you know anyone who could help you catch up? Perhaps a study buddy? :O
The tech guy from the Career Center once recommended www.1and1.com for a decent, beginner webhost. I have NO idea about allowing people to comment and such... if you never had a website before and want to first try it out, I recommend Googling for free webhosts and trying them out first before spending money.

Come to think of it, if you just want people to be able to comment on your uploaded pictures/graphics, I recommend a Flickr account or something similar to that. Making an album of pictures/graphics at such a website allows for people to comment, too.

Adobe Illustrator is not really for website making, it's more of the graphics/illustration part. You would want Adobe Dreamweaver, or so I've heard from the tech guy. :)

Claire: Sure thing.

Asaki: I tried playing Castlevania: OoE and I was so happy to see a main female character ;___; She's awesome!
At the same time, I'm finding the game difficult. Do you have any tips? I'm not very good at these types of games, I'm afraid.

Yeah, Rhythm Heaven is definitely tougher than WarioWare. I LOVE GLEE CLUB (I haven't played past the third stage yet)!! It still makes me giggle, so yes, DEFINITELY CUTE! :3

Btw, nice to hear that at least Addams Family deserves its spot in the rankings, haha. :)

Cherry: "Flamboyant? Who's flamboyant? (or Flamboyance? What's that? could you maybe do both)"
As in, two versions of the same avatar? If you mean both lines of text, it may not fit. 200x200 is a limited canvas. ^^;

WAGs - Women and Gender Studies (a major in college)
WST - Women's Studies

Nadindi: Yeah... I live in New York, so I am oblivious to most of the slang elsewhere. ^^; You're not stupid, we all often forget about language differences! :)

Random: Thanks for the edit. :)

Masque and Bitter_Godot: Sure thing, I'll add to waitlist.
Jenna: "It makes it sort of hard to get work done if you're like me and pretty much lack a social life outside Class and SCA."
