If I'm not mistaken, there's still an open slot left, so here's my request:

I'd like to have a sig with:
Text: "Klavier Gavin" and beneath it "The cutest glimmerous fop ever"
Image(s): This one (It's OK if you cut (a part of) his body off)
Any preferred size?: Nah just a standard sig size.
Color scheme: Purple and red. And every other colour you think looks nice. =)
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): A bit of swirls is nice ^^ Something cool but cute at the same time.. =P If that's possible.

Tessa: Sure, Tessa. :)

Nii: Thanks! I'm trying some new things and found some inspiration through reading.
Well, in my experience, the most important things to me with regards to graphic design is individual style (i.e. not trying to copy someone else's work directly, making your work YOUR OWN, etc.) and being a self-learner. I've grown immensely since my wee days dabbling in graphics, making silly banners on GaiaOnline for free. People can always improve no matter what, so I do not regard myself as "ok, I'm pretty good right now.. I guess that means I'm at my highest potential and should stop trying to improve my skill!"... no way. I'm constantly learning, constantly striving to become better. :)

Sorry if that answer was unclear. Let me know if it was, and I'll clarify.
Being detail-oriented is a large part of it too... often after I host a completed banner, I'll notice a corner of the banner doesn't look quite right or this tiny speck will bother me immensely. I'm a perfectionist in many ways, so it could be OCD sometimes. ^__^''

Jamie:
I'm very happy you like it. :)

Asaki: Nope, he never did. :/ I feel bad for him; his parents must have been mad or something.
Are you going to attempt to make her brooch or commission it? I've seen people make Attorney badges and the Klavier necklace/symbol thing and such... maybe you can get a reasonable price for a commission! Then again, this is just for Halloween, so if you don't mind then you can probably find something that remotely resembles her brooch. Good luck!

I'm not going to lie - your request is scary and I was like O___o when I saw the green head at first. I made your avatar superfantabulous because I thought magenta was suitable. You'll notice I also included another image (faded) of the pinball machine just to add to the background, and I arranged the text so that it is almost in the same position as the original logo :B If it's too magenta-y, just let me know and I'd be glad to fix it.

maka: I'm happy to hear that my graphics made you smile! :)
Congratulations on the 100th post!

Haha, I can completely understand. I'm the same way with my artwork; I'm never satisfied with how I'm doing, and I don't think I ever will be. Which is a good thing since it urges me to improve. I guess it's the same way with graphics, and... well... almost everything in life that we strive for, come to think of it. xD

Thanks for the response! Expect another request from me soon (not right now though cause I'm still working on the details lol). I hope it's alright with you. :pearl-blush:

Gah, I had a rough day. My aunt's funeral was today and I was crying like a fool. We had to drive all the way down to New Jersey and back in a single day. I didn't know her well, but I cried anyway. It felt as if some kind of missing link was there, since I don't cry that much at even the funeral of a grandparent, although the grief is still the same. It was really, really bizarre.

Vickinator wrote:

Did you take the games, or did you just see them in a lost and found? Either way, it sucks for that little boy. Come to think of it, does that place even have a lost and found, or do people just have a habit of losing stuff? Or both?

I would love to go to a convention some time, but it looks like I'll be waiting until college for that. My grandma has a TON of old huge brooches that maybe I can use until then. If not, I'll probably buy a jewel from Michael's or something like that, and fashion it into a brooch like I did with Franziska's bow. And clay is a cosplayer's best friend, too. My parents think cosplay is retarded and probably won't go the lengths to let me get a commish. So yeah.

Oh god, sorry!!! I think I gave Vicki enough trauma this week. *hugs* I didn't mean to scare you. Now, say, if I requested an avatar that read "no blank frames" with one of the Game Boy Camera faces...now THAT would be abuse, and I would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER do that to you. EVER. All fright was completely unintentional. Trust me.

But I love it! The magenta works pretty well. I actually think it's kind of funny. Very, very cool. *high-fives, then hugs again in case the trauma has not gone away yet*

Story behind the ringmaster. When you make the ringmaster pop up you have to hit him five times, and shoot a sixth time into the hole beneath him. The sixth time defeats the ringmaster and he'll leave with some corny remark. When you hit him it's all corny remarks. He's like, "Watch it. WAAAATCH ITTTT...," "You knocked out my contacts!," "You make me weep. Not really. HAHAHAHhahah." Stuff like that. It is very corny and not scary at all, but when it comes to you in a sudden jpeg for a request then yeah, I see where you're coming from. I would jump too. The angle of that picture was just too...good.

Cirqus Voltaire itself is scary. Think about it. If your worst acid trip decided to saunter into your game room in the form of a pinball machine, that's essentially it. XD

The thing is to defeat all three Ringmasters (although you are whacking the same green head over and over again), and then you unmask the true Ringmaster...which is presumably the girl on the backglass. Look closely on the backglass and she's holding a Ringmaster mask in her hand.

Spoiler: Seriously.

Haha, "scarygreenhead.jpg." SUPERFANTABULOUS! He's like a cross between Redd White and the Jolly Green Giant, so it is fine as-is. I loooove it. Awesome job again, Vicki, and I love the avatar you did for Amy too. Thanks again for making epic graphics no matter how green and scary the inspiration!! Keep on rockin'. :edgy:

A question for you. Are you planning on buying "The Art of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" when it comes out this October?

Couldn't have said it better myself.
There is a reason to suspect that drugs were involved.

Still, it is a great game - great, but not brilliant. It's 3rd on the IPDB's Top 10 though. How it got up there I have no clue, and I still maintain ToM should be #1, Cirqus Voltaire should be in the top 100 or so, because Black Rose is in the Top 100 at number 71 but is still amazing.

Hahaha, I think Baron's metaphor is very accurate. Love it!

Asaki: Sorry for the sudden change of mood mid-post, but I'm sorry about your aunt. :/ *comfort hug!* I totally know what you mean. Even though we may have limited contact with another person, well, our hearts still go out to them and the people close to them.

The waiters just bring whatever they find at the tables to the front desk - it's basically under the desk in a small container type thing. Most people who forget their car keys or cell phones will call us back within a few days. The DS games and the iPod Nano, as I mentioned before, were never claimed, strangely. :/ You'd think, right?
I wish people were more careful with their possessions >o<
It's not an awfully common thing where I get people's forgotten iPods and DSes, etc. every day. I've seen a few forgotten DS game cases and stand alone game cartridges from time to time, which is probably to be expected if they are in the hands of the children who may get easily distracted. XD

Oh man! I hope you get the opportunity to go to at least one anime/game/etc. convention in your lifetime! It's quite the experience. :)
Sounds like a plan. Yeah, I got something commissioned a year ago and regret the money I spent on it, actually. From now on, I'll just struggle to make whatever I can myself, or enlist my friends to help. :)
I heard great things about sculpey with regards to clay on the cosplay.com forums.

Haha, no need to apologize for my trauma (j/k, I'm not that easily traumatized). OH GOD NO! That would be a hilarious request for a graphic, actually (the game boy camera faces). It might will scare the children. o__o''

I'm glad you like it - yes, I love making graphics that are intended to be humorous. It's nice to switch the intent every once in awhile to "HAHA THAT'S CREEPY" from just trying to make it eye candy.

GLAD YOU LIKE MY FILENAME.
Yes, actually, I was picturing Redd White's lingo with flamboyant Max and the Hulk.
Thanks for the support, by the way. It means a lot to have someone to chat with on a regular basis. I will keep on rockin', as per your request. :B

I've never heard of the art book before. You'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge with all this stuff, but I find it difficult to keep track of new PW/AJ/etc. merchandise or news with regards to the game releases, etc. >__<'' I just play the games as I'm just not that type of person that keeps track :X Are you? Thank you. =) It's very good to know that there are others who care. She didn't visit very often and I didn't remember her at all. We didn't even live in her state. The priest talked about the blessing of the gift of memory, and I felt awful and after that I was crying for the whole wake. I hope I am in her memory. Thank you for your support, it means a lot :)

I would love to. My library holds a trip to a nearby convention, and I'd love to go sometime. I'll have to inquire about it, I didn't see anything posted about it this year. I have also heard good things about sculpey, is that the kind you bake?

Haha, thank you.

I was lucky enough to find the Ringmaster saying the exact line I requested in my avatar. D: The ringmaster's entry sequence is at 0:36 of this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRQWifoOHHM

The pinball machine with the freaky dummy head that appears after CV is Funhouse, one that I have played and enjoyed IRL (unlike Cirqus, which has a limited production run and thus I can't find anything near me, especially living in a rural area.)

The ringmaster says "YOU KNOCKED OUT MY CONTACTS!" but really, he should be complaining about his teeth, with that huge freaky smile of his... :yuusaku:

That's not the whole game though, not by any means. The ruleset revolves around completing all the "marvels" (sideshow, menagerie, acrobats, highwire, etc.) all of which are creatively done.

I do like how Cirqus Voltaire doesn't take itself seriously. It's pretty delightful and at the same time hilarious. The whole thing just works. It depends on the overall atmosphere though. If Theatre of Magic pulled something like that, it would seem out of place (although there is a Hat Magic sequence where the third item you can pull out is a phone, and "MOVE YOUR CAR!!" is heard from the phone and The Busty Imm--Jo...crap, i keep forgetting...is just holding the phone like o__O.)

There were a lot of ands in that sentence. I need to stop reading Angela's Ashes, but I can't because I'm not done.

And you are welcome. I hope to be here as long as there is a Court Records. :P

Yes I am! :D There's a thread in Trial Minutes detailing it. Apparently it's an English version of The Art of Gyakuten Saiban, condensing the Apollo and Phoenix editions into a single volume. It retails for $39.99 and is coming out on October 30. I should have a load of giftcards by then, because my birthday is at the start of September. XD I already have the Japanese, but English would just be way more convenient for me, as far as canon translations would go.

I just got the most awesome idea for a request, and I have the details ready, but I'm afraid to request again so soon, even though the spots are open. (hint: Black Rose + Thrice = <3) Is it okay to go for it? I'm not giving the details until it's ok with you.

inu: You can request anytime as long as there are waitlist slots, so don't think you've reached your limit for requests. :)
Photobucket looks like it resized your image, so it may not be an accurate indication of your actual desktop size. You can find out the size by going to Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization, then "Adjust screen resolution" or "Display Settings." Your resolution will be listed there.

Your request will be placed on the waitlist in the meantime. :)

Asaki: (Re: Support) Anytime. :)

What convention? Is it just anime or something else?
I've been to three different conventions and I wish to go to Comi-con next year! :o) My friends and I will be road trippin'. It works out great, too, because my best friend lives in California and lives only an hour away from the con so we'll essentially have free room and board (not completely free because I'd feel bad if I didn't repay her family for their hospitality!)

Yep, you bake sculpey. That's essentially all I know about it... I've never made a prop except for Amaterasu's (Okami) reflector. Actually, it came out awesome for my first attempt at a prop. *beams with pride*

Don't worry, I never put anything that's of major interest or focus where the taskbar is located because I always take the taskbar into account. :) For the wallpaper to display properly I needed the exact screen resolution so it wouldn't have any blank space to the sides or anything. Thanks!

Yes, I check and double-check as well. Sometimes triplecheck, as I will do when I'm away and unable to call to recover immediately (going down the coast to Florida for an iPod or DS... now that's just... o___O)

Anime convention, I believe. I forget the name.
Lucky girl!! I wish I could go to a convention. I do some small-time cosplay outside of all those things, but I'd love to hit it big time and gather with other fans, cosplayers, geeks, etc. Again, my parents think cosplay is retarded but I have an aunt who is very into roadtripping (she took my cousin on a college tour) and she gave me permission to bunk with her in sophomore year. My college will be near her place of work, so it is not very far away at all generally. The problem is finding a con, but since I will be near Philly by then, it should be a snap.

When he goes back down, he also says, at times: "Au revoir...Arrivederci...Adios...Goodbye." That's all I remember at the moment.

I can't find a clip of MOVE YOUR CAR in ToM (I'll have to play it and screencap Jo holding the phone), but I found a good video of Cirqus gameplay.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAlFeFRMLww

The guy is really good. Half of the game's objectives (possibly more) were completed on ONE BALL.

Parts to watch:

:41 - Side Show - I LOVE HIS VOICE. XD
1:12 - The Ringmaster - YOU KNOCKED OUT MY CONTACTS, other exclamations of pain.
3:43~3:56 - THE COOLEST PART OF THE WHOLE GAME. I'M SERIOUS. (Watch the dot matrix display.)
3:58 - The guy knocks out the Ringmaster's contacts a second time.
5:46 - End of ball bonus, beginning with the judges and ending with some awesome guitar hits. (No, Jo is not there, I wish she was.)

No problem. I will be here whenever I can...but Saturday is the Disney trip. I will be there for a week. Hopefully the campground has internet.

Yay, thank you for saving me a spot! :D I feel special!

Yes, it is a sig. You guessed right. I ADORE my Theatre of Magic sig so much I have it as Zen wallpaper, sometimes PSP wallpaper, Pocket PC wallpaper, a ton of other stuff. Now maybe you can immortalize another favorite (though not nearly as awesome as ToM, nothing is) machine of mine...

No, it is not Cirqus Voltaire.

Spoiler: the specs
I hope you can fit everything. Text - lyrics from "Open Water" by Thrice.

Size: As big as it needs to be, but not so big it violates CR's sig policy and gets me moobed.

Text (there's a lot; feel free to truncate if need be.):
Ten thousand men sleep down with Davy Jones;

The ocean floor begins to disappear;
I sense that terrible depth.
The open water is my only fear,

Asakiiiiiiinator: Oi, that would be horrible. I've never been to Florida, but I have been to Hong Kong before. I would just headdesk repeatedly for hours if I had left something of great importance back in Hong Kong. At least they could mail it back if that ever happened... but still.

AnimeNEXT is in Secaucus, NJ. Is that somewhat near Philly? I mean, state-wise it's obviously close, but I'm not sure time-wise.
I've been to AnimeNEXT twice. It was okay when I went, but it's definitely not the best con experience I've had. I heard they moved the con to a different venue (thank goodness - in the last venue it was just one big room so panels, the dealer's room, etc. were all separated by just curtain things. >__>''

Yeah, I've always wanted to do a group cosplay or photoshoot. Fun times! :)
My best friend wanted to cosplay the Iceclimbers with me because it would be adorable, but we would need time to coordinate this. Cosplaying as the Iceclimbers is not a wise choice during the summer. Sheesh.

I heard the ringmaster say that, too! Hahaha.
Oh my god, pinball is epic. I find it amazing how there's various stages of play, voiceclips, and scripted events to occur. I also find it hilarious that the ringmaster announces himself the same time every time. I am THE RINGMASTER.

3:43 and earlier around 3:20 with the flashing siren-like lights was creepy O__O Wow, three pinballs.
Is Jo supposed to be good? (As in, good/evil)

Ooo, have fun at Disney! :)

Sig is amazing. All three versions, incredible. I'll be alternating between this and the ToM sig, depending on my mood ^^ They are both so good. Thanks again for being awesome...but it's waaay too easy for you! :D

You know what? I think that was it, but I'm not sure. Philadelphia is about a half hour away from Delaware, if that matters. I'm not sure about distance either. That curtain setup sounded pretty horrible. Hopefully it will be better if the library actually holds another bus trip there again... >__>

Haha, that would be soooooo cute! ^^ But here, it's been raining too much to even have a summer, and the little fuzzy hoods would come in handy! (I don't know about NY though.)

I never really paid attention to that until now. I just concentrated on the art, because his eyes shoot out little hypnobeams when he closes them and opens them again. Weird and awesome.

The creepy part at 3:43 - that's the Highwire Multiball intro sequence! My personal favorite part, but...how could they allow that in a circus? I know it's pinball, but a jolt of electricity to the highwire that practically zaps the life out of the people on it is just...cruel. o__o They don't call it Cirqus Voltaire for nothing, but Kentucky Fried Acrobat is NOT my act of choice when I go to a circus, thank you.

Quote:
Is Jo supposed to be good? (As in, good/evil)

Spoiler: Long answer to this one.
NOW THERE'S A QUESTION, and one that I've wondered about myself. John Popadiuk, designer of ToM and thus the man responsible for this magnificent feat of awesome, writes about pinball design, and he cites two machines that he made. One of the quotes is as follows:

Quote:
...On a flying carpet you can travel to Baghdad and relive the "Tales of The Arabian Nights" or battle a voluptuous temptress in her "Theatre of Magic". ...

>>or battle a voluptuous temptress in her "Theatre of Magic".
>>a voluptuous temptress in her "Theatre of Magic".
>>a voluptuous temptress

ಠ_ಠ

NOT SO FAST

Jo? A temptress? Very interesting how Popadiuk puts it that way, because this "voluptuous temptress" was once a cleaning lady according to the promo video (as you know.) She used to suck at magic until she herself tested wits with the Theatre! In the beginning she admires a poster of Thurston, then proceeds to shuffle a deck of cards, only to drop them all over the stage, and she looks over to find a little gold bag, which turns out to be her ticket to the Theatre of Magic and thus immortality and stardom. (She was dressed like a maid, for crying out loud.)

Considering that the designer himself used the words "voluptuous temptress" there is reason to believe that Jo is indeed, evil (temptress -> a *dangerously* seductive woman - thank you mister dictionary; voluptuous is just a fancy word for sexy), but playing Theatre of Magic contradicts that outright. There is a female announcer (Jo) and a male (unnamed magician.) Jo encourages the player and is more outspoken than the other magician. Also, the promo video contradicts that because Jo had no idea what she was going to do or where she going to be when she picked up that little gold bag, much less that she was going to become THE BEST MAGICIAN EVER and BUSTY IMMORTAL EXTRAORDINAIRE.

The Theatre of Magic "bestowed her with powers beyond imagination..." i.e. legendary magic powers that would put her in the history books. Your goal is to become the Theatre's next great magician with Jo and that other guy as your guide. The voluptuousness is a hook to get people to play the game (impractical magician's clothing, boobs, kind of like how Black Rose is dressed more like a wench than an honest-to-god pirate - bringing us to the "Eye Candy" topic again.)

TL;DR: I think Jo is inherently good. In Theatre of Magic she is not working against the player, but with him - the player actually controls her in her illusions. Theatre of Magic is 100% non-sexual and there are machines with characters that make Jo's costume seem Amish in comparison - where the "voluptuous temptress" thing comes from is probably the backglass, which is merely a hook. Either that or he said it to sound suspenseful, but either way it contradicts both the promo video and game which are both canon.

===

I shall have fun at disney, because I haven't been there in 8 years! :D We're going to Downtown Disney to see Cirque du Soleil when we're there. And if there is a ringmaster, I will search carefully for springs and contacts. (I have no clue what a CdS show is like, but eh, it can't be much weirder than Voltaire.)

I am also using the Ringmaster avatar on my Pinside account, along with the Black Rose and ToM signatures. Is that okay with you?

Inu: I don't think I've ever had such a response to my graphics, but... there's a first for everything!
Haha, glad you like it. :)

Asaki: HECK YES IT'S AWESOME :B
You should consider a rando-sig. What's a rando-sig, you may ask?! It's a random sig generator that will pull from your collection of images (whatever you upload) and whenever someone refreshes the page, a new signature will pop up. You can google for "random sig generator" or something similar. It's suh-weet. You won't have to manually remove/switch sigs out/in, then! ;)

The distance from Delaware is even more lost to me, hahah. I'm afraid I don't know much outside of New York and New Jersey. I only know vaguely 'bout NJ because I have relatives living there and I've been to Six Flags a few times.
I think the move was hopefully permanent... each year, each con usually increases in attendance, so it would make sense if they've moved to a bigger and better venue. HOPEFULLY.

It's been raining every week for about a month, so yeah. I'm not complaining too much though, because at least we haven't reached the ninety-degree+ weather yet.

Oh. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Cirqus VOLTaire. I get it. Haha. *headdesk*

Jo's backstory and whatnot are really interesting! Thanks for the tidbits. I now feel enlightened.

I think I've said this, but I've never been to Disney T__T I was promised we could go when I was like, 12... and that never happened. SO LIVE THE DREAM FOR ME. LIVE THE DREEEEEEAM.

That's fine. Spread the love around on other websites. :B

Maka
: Ooh, thanks for helping with moderating and such ^^ I appreciate it.

Death241/Sub-zero: Sure! I'll have them for you by tomorrow night or the day after. Nice dibs on the username - I find it interesting no one's taken it yet. :)

EDIT: Mongoose241, I'm guessing you're the same person as Sub-zero? You shouldn't need multiple accounts unless there's a good reason... I don't see why you'd need different signatures. I will only make one set for you at one time - this will give other people a chance to request graphics.

Mongoose: Oh ok, I confused you two because you both used spoiler tags in your posts. :) Your request is accepted.

Fran: I will need your exact screen resolution because the resolution can significantly affect the quality if the size of the wallpaper and screen don't match up.
Do you have Windows? If so, you can find out your screen resolution by going to the Control Panel and finding "Display Settings." If on a Mac, you can find similar settings by going to whatever the equivalent of the Control Panel is. Hope that helps.

THANK YOU FOR THE RANDO-SIG IDEA. I found a good site via Gaia and it works like a charm. Love it.

Here it's been raining almost every day for about a month. I love rain and sit outside during storms often. Everyone's been complaining...except me. It does me good after the brutal blackbelt training classes I have to take for karate...

Jo's backstory and whatnot are really interesting! Thanks for the tidbits. I now feel enlightened.

One of CV's slogans is "Electrifying Excitement!" But it goes deeper.

This is a story that scrolls down during the game's attract mode:

Spoiler: ayup
The mesmerizing cirqus performances of today have evolved from the early Romans and their acts of bravery and challenge. The arena held the greatest daily performances as gladiators riding chariots could be seen alongside jugglers, tightrope walkers and fire eating cows. The word "Cirqus" literally means "Ring", and traditional rings were established as boundaries for horses to gallop within. All cirqus performers disbanded and scattered after the fall of Rome in 476 A.D.
1771 was a rebellious time for the famous M. Voltaire, an enlightened philosopher and general scholarly rascal. He was famous for his writings and his spirit for living. His passion grasped the arts and the cirqus, and in 1772 founded a show in Paris with the "Father of the Cirqus", Phillip Astley. Voltaire then brought together a group of the most talented street performers and poets of modern day France, and founded the "Troupe le Voltaire" or "Voltaire's Group".
The name, "Cirqus Voltaire" was first spoken by Voltaire himself, during a tense game of bagatelle at the Café Procope.
Along with their works of the pen, the cirqus talent included tiger tamers, high wire fellows, the lightning-ball jugglers, and powerful cow throwers.
The Cirqus Voltaire had the most marvelous acts of bravery and passion, the same that willed France toward revolution in 1789.
The rest of the story and passion is... ... well ... To be played by you!
So come join the "Cirqus Voltaire"!

Voltaire is real and lived around that time period, but I can't find anything about an M. Voltaire, and Philip Astley is real too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Astley So maybe this story is historical fiction? Very, very sweet!

Enlightened, eh? Now we complete your nirvana.

I know, right...it looks like it will rain and then it doesn't, and when it's perfect it suddenly turns to rain. Go figure!

Quote:

Ayup :3 Higher belts nearing the black belt are required to take black belt training classes. These build endurance and stamina, but also make me unable to use my arms or legs properly for the next couple days. x__x

I have never actually kicked anyone's butt, because I never had to. But it goes without saying that I wanted to sometimes XD

The weird thing is, though...Cirqus Voltaire is very modern. The "Strike an Arc" multiball and the spheres sitting atop the metal towers with electricity coursing through them reminds me of Tesla's apparatus in The Prestige. Granted, The Prestige isn't set in modern times either, but did The Prestige have blinding neon colors and ringmasters who wear contacts during performances, even though they know they're getting knocked around? I think not. But it did have magicians. And magicians = awesome.

Yes, when we were talking about the "eye candy" topic. The backglass was probably made before casting for the promo. Nobody could have such pristine hair and big boobs naturally, so they went with an approximaion. I love the backstory though, a textbook Cinderella tale. It's worth noting that Jo says "You have the magic!" quite frequently during the game.

Speaking of which, Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale [The Prestige] look like Zak and Valant.

Spoiler: ayup
Image

I mean, Hugh Jackman (left) even has Zak's cleft chin and everything. Christian Bale (right) reminds me of Valant for some reason...maybe it's the eyebrows. And the whole oneupsmanship thing and the accident onstage and all that.

Oh, I love CdS...colorful flights of fancy are awesome. I love circuses and magic and showy theatre stuff in general, so this is going to be great fun. I can't wait for CdS, it's my favorite part already and I'm not even there yet =D

How's life treating you Vicki?
I've been sick with a cold. :sadshoe: Though today I'm feeling a bit better. Stupid nose and cough.

Yeah, so... this post is a result of a decision I finally made after a week or so of thinking about what's best for me right now.

This is not an “official goodbye” – I’ll still be somewhat active on Court-Records with regards to posting once in awhile.

So.. ahem.

I’ve had an amazing (almost) three years on CR. I’ve met some honest, good people and am happy to have helped many with my graphics. :) I have met some wonderful people (you regulars!) who have appreciated my work from the beginning and still pop in to say hello even though some of you haven’t requested something for months or more.

That being said, I think it is time to significantly lessen my workload on CR. I’m going to graduate school in the fall semester for my Masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology and I need to start making money to support myself. Most of all, I need some time to relax! Right now, I have three internships a week and end up with only two hours or so of free time before I should be getting to bed in preparation for the next day… most of which I spend on graphics because I’ve felt really bad about the whole “three requests at a time” deal. For me, it’s mostly… get the job done and do it right, or don’t do it at all. I would hate to have to only accept one request a week or month – it’s kind of pointless if people see you as unreliable. More than anything, I consider quality and service to be most important to me with regards to any type of volunteer work or business.

It has been an absolute pleasure to make graphics for you lovely people, but spending hours and hours on free graphics for people has taken a toll on me. I’m finding that making graphics on Court-Records no longer makes me as happy as it used to, perhaps because it has become an obligation for which I’m not compensated for (which I wouldn’t mind at all if I had oodles of free time to spare), or perhaps I feel that my creativity is significantly limited sometimes.

This thread will remain open but requests will be closed. Requests will be closed to the public, but regulars here are still eligible to contact me via PM or off-CR anytime for my graphic services, though the wait may be a bit longer. However, I know a large number of you appreciate that quality takes some time. :]

I’ll be happy to give any of you my AIM/Facebook/etc. information if you would like to keep in contact with me. I’m on DeviantArt as well - though I haven't uploaded much yet, I'll probably be uploading my wallpapers at least. I will be stopping by on CR once in awhile to chat a little (as I have been), so I won’t disappear completely… but I definitely won’t be here as often.

If anyone’s interested in commissioning me for some work for their website, etc., feel free to ask me as well. I’ll be opening my own graphic business in a few months or so. In addition, I’ll be opening up a mini business for 1 ½ sized buttons :3

I sincerely wish all of you the best of luck with middle school/high school/college whatever you’re doing at the moment. I won’t forget those who have really supported me throughout the months and trust that you won’t forget me either! *big hugs to everyone* :]

Vicky

(p.s. vio55, Fran, and Amy's requests will be PM’ed to them~)
