I am not sure if this is the right or wrong forum to put this topic in. If it is the wrong one, I apologize.

I am currently working on making a live case on video. It's not going to be related to PW/AJ, with PW/AJ characters or anything. It is just a murder case using the same styles that the games use. I am still working on the script, so it will be a while before it'll be out on youtube, but I need some assistance if anyone can help.

I'm not very good with video editing, and I was wondering if it was possible for me to do stuff like...

-make the Objection/Take That/Hold It signs pop up on the screen and rattle while the video is still going.
-have "Testimony" flashing in the corner while a witness is testifying.
-when a witness is about to testify, have the "Witness Testimony" animation pop up and disappear. Same with "Cross examination"
-also when a witness is about to testify, have the defense attorney and the prosecutor's eyes cross.

If anyone could give me some details and information on whatever programs I might need, and what I would need to do, that would be great!

there are two ways
the good way: using a high quality program such as adobe premier to overlay the graphics onto the video.

the bad way: editing frame by frame in gimp or photoshop, and then positioning the frames in windows movie maker, then re-adding the sound from the original video.`

Unfortunately, before you ask, no, there are no free video editors of a high enough quality to do stuff like that. Most free editors suck overall. You could try to get Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere free, somehow. You would need to learn how to use them, though.
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

okay thank you for your help :). my brother has the program and will be able to help me with it.

now another question concerning the movie... i have a setup for a courtroom but it's not very good. are courthouses public places? can you use a courtroom if you asked and all that stuff, or is it strictly for courthouse purposes?
