Hello, nice to see everyone. Just for a little background, I'm Kid Nino on many other forums so if you see me on other forums drop me a PM. :) Also, I am not completly new to the forums. I've been an intrested guest for a while. I'm especially intrsested in AA comic's and of course the edited sprites. Anyways, I Played the Ace Attorney series for about two years. Anyways, the main reason I joined was well as most of you here are, I'm crazy about the games. I love them, so a major school project where it decides basically if I graduate or not I've decided to write a play based on the first Phoenix Wright game. Now, I've heard about Phoenix Wright the musical. However, what I'm trying to create is not a musical. So, basically I would like to know if you guys have any idea's for how things like the investigations would work. I was thinking something along the lines of audiance interactions with like three audiance members as "investigators" who have to find out the information, tell it to Gumshoe, and then the story progresses as normal.

The cases I'm thinking about doing are,
Case 1
Case 2

Which last case do you want to do? Turnabout Goodbyes or Rise from the Ashes?

Turnabout Goodbyes contributes more to the storyline and would be simpler to do in a play format. :)

Your right, but something I need to do for it to be ok to be hosted is that it can't contain any sort of spirit medium thing. So, I need to take out any sign that Maya or Mia is a spirit medium. Also, I made an error. I said I would do the case with Mia's death but that won't be part of it unfortunatly.

It's not my choice. The school is very strict about this rule. The worst cuss word we can say there is the D word. (Not sure if we can say it so I'm staying safe.)

Well, people may take the whole spiritual thing offensivly to their faith. We are allowed to tallk about dead things heck it's phoenix wright. Half the game is about dead things. :D

Yes, I'm new here I've read what I think is unique to Court Records. Meaning I didn't bother reading don't spam since thats common sense. :D

Well, I still find Turnabout Goodbyes as a good way to end the play, mostly for Edgeworth's story. I guess you'll have to come up with some sort of plothole to remove Misty Fey and the DL-6 spirit channeling screw-up...

But how are you going to deal with Maya? The audience needs a reason why she wears such strange clothes. Are you going to give her regular clothes?

Well, keep in mind I just started doing this about a week ago and haven't had much work still on the first case.
For Maya some idea's were maybe she's a fortune teller? Or maybe some civilian clothes I guess.

Well I don't know how a fortune teller would be any different.
And did people cry out against the sixth sense?
Just... call her psychic like that, if it's possible. Even if you leave out channeling.
Yes, I myself have found it a little... not part of what I would consider my faith, but I keep it in regards to teh storyline and recognize her nothing more as a fictional character in an AU where murders happen as often as people go to work, and the population isn't reduced in the slightest.
I can understand where the school is coming from, but surely couldn't you tell them it's just part of the story? If not, psychic (if they'll allow that much of a stretch) might be a good try to go for, to keep it closer to the original story at any rate.
Also I think the first Trial might be difficult for you if you have an inaccurate thrower. How is Sahwit going to throw his toupee smack dab in your face?

HItting you should suffice for the comedic effect, though, i believe. And good luck with the play!
If you record it I'd like to see it. I really mean that.
You should get the AA music, put it on a CD or something in order of the case, and have a stage crew type guy switch songs when cued. Part of the reason I love AA is for the music, ahah.

I can probably get away with saying shes phycic for it being a "job".
Actually I was thinking about that. I speant a bit of time getting music that I think is right. I'm also going to get Phoenix to record his thoughts and have them played or just have him talk towards the audiance. Also, I'm not going to be in it as far as I know. I'll be directing. But, if somehow I get through it all I'll put it on Youtube for you guys to watch. :D

As for Sahwit. I'm not really sure maybe I could get something that would make it stick to the face without it being permenent and not show up like duct tape...

1-1, 1-2, and 1-4 probably seem like the best cases to do. If you can't do spirit channeling, then it works, because there's no channeling in 1-1 and 1-4, and

Although if your school won't allow Maya to be a spirit channeler, I'm not sure they'd allow April May....

You should also just confirm from them that it'll be okay for her to be a psychic.

Lastly, what exactly did you mean by audience interaction and "investigators"? I couldn't really understand from those few sentences.

Well, just so you guys know it won't be made for two or three years until I'm about to finish High School. Anyways, Bad Player, when I first joined theatre I was extremly intrested in interactive entertainment and not passive entertainment. So, I love the actors to interact with the audiance. So, I wanted to get like three audiance members per case with investigation. (6) So, when Gumshoe is about to tell Phoenix about the details the audiance figures it out. Also, during a few choices like in 1-1 Phoenix thinks whether or not he should have Larry answer the question. I want the audiance to decide without going ok who wants yes and who wants no. :D
