MechaWare co. presents MechaSource, the ultimate developing tool. a tool under development.

Basically Ideally it can aims to create a wide amount of games, with a huge number of possibilities.
MechaSource supports promises inbuild server tracking, achievements, physics, online play and so much more!
Everything is might be possible in MechaSource, the only limit is the developer. will be if we can keep these tall promises.
This tool requires hopes to be intuitive with no previous knowledge (however it wouldn't hurt good luck with that) and it requires nothing but MechaSource's promised glory to come into existance.

If you want my advice on how to sound less like a snake oil salesman? Less hype, more examples of the actual product.

If you bothered to read the homepage, there's a link to evidence.
Anyways sure, since this is Court Records I should probably post something. Long post warning.

Yes, my point there was that it's in development, not an actual product yet. If you're looking for investors, that's one thing. But this is marketing to consumers, and consumers want to see results.

But as for feedback on the demonstration, you've already failed at two promises.

First off, forget about being able to use without prior experience, because you're talking in Computer Science language. This is not intuitive for someone who doesn't know anything about coding to use. And if someone is going to learn enough coding to make a game, why not make something independently?

And it shows no signs of being applicable for any kind of games, because the only example you've given is achievements based on kills. This works for a lot of FPS games and the like, but think about where you are right now: an Ace Attorney forum. How would we translate that to a game like the kind people make here? Buh? Achievements based on Perfect Win Record In Court?

And by the way, apparently you're just going to leave it implied that "this idea is based off XBox 360 and we're going to adapt it exactly the same way". As someone who doesn't have an XBox 360, I have only the vaguest idea of how making achievements relates at all to making games themselves. All it really does is connect the games to your site.

So what are you really offering? A chance for game developers to show their work under your name, essentially getting free content in the process? Because you're advertising it as something that anyone can use to make any game, in which case the focus should be intuitive options for easy game construction, with additional options for people with experience to go into the code and modify the commands to better suit their concept.

actually that post was too long for me to bother reading it, and the above was just a random example taking from the official blog.
And you seem to have failed in realizing that it is both beginner and advanced friendly, which is what the coding is for. You have no idea on how the program procedure works, and therefore you can't judge on how easy it is.

Why did I even post here you guys have fun I won't bother with objectfags

I chose the second.
Have fun, because this thing is on most other fangaming forums, yet you're horrible behind in the game creation process.

And yet you expect people to understand your long explanation as easy? Bet you don't even know what I meant by "intuitive", huh.

Anyway, glad to see you're open to criticism and feedback! Have fun and we'll see you when you have less promises and more results. Ciao.

P.S., there's no link on your page to anything, your forums link is broken. :keiko:
