Hey, this is just a drawing I made of Godot. Here's the link: http://ziggy47.deviantart.com/art/The-G ... t-75892138

Enjoy!

I would also like to request that this be put in the fanart section of this site.

I never said it was perfect fan art. It was done on large paper, thus Godot is bigger and that may have distorted how he looks. I know I can improve, but as can be told from the gallery I still have a lot to learn in drawing. He looks better than the anthros in that gallery. I'd appreciate it if you were nice about your criticisms, because not everyone can make fantastic fanart. Telling me my art is horrible is not criticism, it's just rude and mean and is best kept out of public message boards and best kept to yourselves.

I cannot agree with you more.

STOP FLAMING D:

Give tips. Don't just say 'KILL IT WITH FIRE' or even on the other end, 'it's ADORABLE!'. Just say what needs to be fixed. Or say what's good about it. If you don't have anything to say, keep your trap shut.

Sorry, I'm pretty serious when it comes to art critiques. :sadshoe:

Second'd

It's a good start, honestly. You have most/all the colors in the right place. I have no artistic ability, so I can't even do that much. Keep at it, and it can only improve.

+10 points for Godot. :godot:

Thanks! :) I was wondering, if any of you writers out there would be willing to critique my fanfic and if it could do with an addition to help explain why some characters aren't mentioned. Either a prequel fic or a flashback would be the continuation. I'm just putting the link to the thread (the thread only, this is a fanart thread) because it's starting to get buried, and this seems to be a smaller place (no offense, it's a good thing because it feels nicer here than the official PW boards since it's smaller :) ) I think it could get some good criticism here. Here's the link: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6761

Please don't flame as a good deal of it is an original (Nobody else but me has done this I'm sure) Yuri fanfic. That means, for anyone who doesn't know it's two girls romantically together. There's also age gaps in the romances. There's also another fanfic that is located there too if you want to read it. If you don't have anything nice to say or any useful criticism please leave my art gallery alone. Thanks for reading!

Ok... His proportions are pretty abnormal. His visor sticks out too much for example, and he's a bit too thin. The colouring is very good though. The problem is the proportions... sorta make me laugh at it, not that I mean to. It just makes him look comical :(

I am going to try drawing him on a smaller sheet of drawing paper. I think if he was drawn on a smaller scale, he wouldn't look so odd. I agree, he does look a bit weird. If he were drawn smaller, there'd be more room to fill in the details without enlarging him because enlarging him makes other features less likely to be given as much attention as they need. Your critique is welcome, and I can see why he might make someone laugh. I think I need to draw Ace Attorney characters on small paper sheets, as using big drawing paper just tends to make them look bad.

By the way at the time the only good picture of him I had without using the computer was in my instruction booklet. In the picture he is leaned over with his hand in his pocket. If I do a picture of him standing upright, I will use my action figurines for models.

Might wanna work on the arm a bit, it looks kinda distorted. The proportions of the head and neck need a little adjusting as well. The one critical flaw with this picture is the lack of coffee! If your planning on redrawing it, definitely add a cup, or two... or fifty... I think he'd enjoy that!

Thanks to all for the support! I would appreciate it, if you'd visit the gallery to leave your critiques, comments of praise, and to also consider looking at the photos (only of a Phoenix Wright action figurine who had something unfortunate happen, have no idea how though) fanfics, and original work on there. Please check out my thread on this: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7622

There's also a contest going on, (please read the rules in the journal) and it's very simple. All you have to do is visit the page, and if you're lucky you might win the contest. The conditions for winning are in the rules. You will have a better idea of the fan character I'm talking about if you read the fanfics and a basic idea of what she looks like is the only drawing that is human besides Godot and also female. Anyways, enjoy visiting my page! :phoenix:

LOL

No offense, but maybe people stay quiet about your picturess because they REALLY need to be fixed. Just compare your drawing with the original one. You'll get it.

The reason he looks that way is because it was large drawing paper. He was leaning in the picture I used for reference thus that is why he sticks out. I have an action figurine of him now (I didn't at the time the drawing was made) and the next time I want to draw him I will use him as a model. I also can hit some art books and perhaps take a class when I find one that will work for me.

Soo.... are you 22? And how does the size of the paper affect the quality of the drawings? Like the comic draughtsmen draw their comics on a bigger sheet than in which it will actually be published. The pictures will be sharper and more detailed then.
The proportions are... weird. Try to make a good sketch before you start coloring and all that.

I am twenty-two. I just tend to have a harder time drawing larger, because it throws me off for some odd reason. I have trouble handwriting and it might also impact my ability to draw larger, because the more I draw, the more my writing hand is in pain. That might be why it's hard for me to draw larger drawings.
