7 Years ago
A woman stood in front of a man wearing a business suit with a boy next at her side. “ Thank you Mr. Phoenix for coming to my defense.” Said the woman.

“Oh no problem.” Said Phoenix Wright.

“I owe ya one for helping my sister out.” Said the boy, no older than 18.

“Thanks.”

“Well see ya Phoenix.” Said the woman as she and her brother walked away.

3 Months latter, August 14, 2018.

The boy walked down the street with a girl latched to his side holding a video camera. “I’m telling you Honto. This lady’s really good at forgeries’.”

“Look I’m not into that kind of stuff.” Replied Honto as he turned the corner and saw, Kirihito Garyuu and another man having a conversation, “ Hey that’s Kirihito Garyuu….but what’s he doing here?” Honto pulled out has camera and pressed record.

August 15, 2018, the day of the Zakku trial.

Phoenix silently looked on in shock, his final piece of evidence had been a fake and he was about to take a penalty.

BGM: Investigation~Cornered! (Variation) , From GS4

“Hey hold the phone!” yelled a voice in the crowd. Honto, wearing a blue button-up shirt and black jeans holding a video camera, stood up and walked up to the judge. “You’re Honor. I’d like to come to Mr. Wright’s defense in this case.”

“How so mr.?”

“Ryuu Honto. At your service.”

“Mr. Honto, how do you suggest that Mr. Wright is not guilty?”

“Because, Kirihito Garyuu is the one at fault, and with this tape here I’ll prove it!” Honto put the tape into the VCR and pressed play.

“Kirihto are you sure about this?”

“Yes! It can’t fail. You’ll come in and prove the evidence as fake and Wright will be penalized and lose his license, and Zakku will go to jail. I’ll get him back for not using me for his attorney."

As the tape ended the whole courtroom was left in shock with jaws agape . The judge, in light of this new information slammed his hammer onto the stand. “Kirihito Garyuu! In spite of this new evidence , not only do you lose this case , but you shall be penalized !” said the judge as he rapped his stand with his hammer.

“What!? But how could this happen!” said an outraged Kirihito.

“You know I never did like you since you went against my sister in that last trial. But to think you’d go this low, you’re a disgrace to attorneys everywhere!”

As the audience began to leave the court room Honto took the tape and handed it over to the judge.After that he found Phoenix in the hallway, “Hey, Phoenix.”

“Hey Honto, so just what are you doing here anyway?”

“Well I told you I’d pay you back and I did and beside I was wondering…if… maybe..you could…… you know …..take me on as your Apprentice?” asked Honto as he rubbed the back of his head.

“Wha!?”

“You see, I’d ask sis but she’s training this other guy, I think his name is Housuke Odoroki. So I though I’d have to look for someone else.”

“But why me?”

“Well you’re the guy who hasn’t lost a case yet! So I know you’ve got time.”

“But don’t you have to go through law school?”

“I did, last year actually.”

“You don’t look like it.”

“Hey don’t judge a book by it’s cover.”

“Fine…I’ll think about it…come to my office tomorrow. It’s Wright & Co. Law Offices. “

“Thanks.” Said Honto as he walked away.

“Why do I feel like something big about to happen?”

The next day

“Argh!!!” yelled Honto as he sat on a park bench. The whole morning, since 6:00 am, he’d been looking for the Wright & Co. Law offices and no luck, “Why didn’t I ask for directions? Now I’ll never find Phoenix’s office.”

“Hey you, are you looking for Wright & Co law offices?” asked a girl.

“Yeah but I can’t find it.”

“Then follow me.” Said the girl as she began to walk away with Honto following along.

After a half-hour walk they stopped at a building, “Well here we are, Wright & Co law offices!” said the girl as she opened the door and walked up the stairs, “So just what are you here for?”

“Oh, Phoenix said to come her to see about teaching me to be a attorney.”

“Oh so your Nick’s apprentice?”

“Oh I wouldn’t say that. But just who are you anyway?”

“I’m Maya Frey, Nick’s partner.”

“Partner? He never mentioned you yesterday.”

“What!?”

Honto opened the door and saw Phoenix and his sister talking, “Sis? What are you doing here?”

“Oh you didn’t know? We live right across for this building.” Said Lena Ryuu as Honto’s face faulted.“Your directional skills suck badly. Let’s hope that Phoenix here can fix it.”

“Well Honto, let’s see what ya got.” Said Phoenix

“Well I should be going now, I’ll leave him to you Feenie!” said Lena as she closed the door.

“Feenie?” asked Honto, only to see Phoenix in a slump.

“I don’t wanna talk about it…..alright then! Let’s see what you can do”

“Talk about mood swings…..” thought Honto

Three hours latter

“Now Mr. Ryuu, “ Said Phoenix, holding a Kendo stick on top of Honto’s head, “What was the victims cause of death?”

“Stab wound to the chest, stab wound to the chest….” thought Honto until he looked on his paper and saw that he wrote “Stab wound to the chair” instead.

“Wrong! *Crack!*” yelled Phoenix as he slammed the stick onto Honto’s head, causing it to break in half. As he tossed the sizzling broken stick to the side he sat down in his chair and pulled out a folder. “Honto…let me ask you something.”

“What?”

“Why do you hate Kirihito Garyuu?”

“Well…..it was a while back, he was the prosecutor and my sister was the Defense Attorney. He had pulled out all the stops but he couldn’t win…but the reason I hate him was because he was a sneaky bastard. He did the one thing you should never do.”

“What did he do?” asked Maya as she and Pearl began to listen in on the conversation.

“Well….her client…they were in a relationship and just broke up. So thinking that he’d win, he brought up their relationship, because he was in love with her when they were in law school. As he talked more and more about it she felt like she couldn’t trust him anymore, she almost broke down in the court room…so not only did he lose the trial, but his rep took a major nose dive.”

“I never though someone could go so low…especially in a courtroom.” Said Phoenix

“Then he pretty much had a hate of you when Zakku asked you for help.”

“What? But what did Nick ever do to him?” asked Maya

“Well I guess it’s because of the fact that Garyuu had been he attorney before he asked Phoenix.But for what I head Zakku fired him after Garyuu lost to him in a card game.”

“A card game?”

“I guess it was a trust thing. But then this led to the whole forgery incident.Heh heh.”

“What’s so funny about that?”

“If I didn’t have that tape then you could have lost your badge, contact with all your friends, and became a hobo that couldn’t play the piano worth a crap but still calls himself a pianist, and this building would have become Wright talent offices.”

“Haha! That does sound funny! A hobo Nick!”

“Hey.” Replied Phoenix as he handed him the folder, “ Try reading this , it should help”

“Okay,” as he opened the folder , a picture fell onto the table, “ What the…….BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!” Honto fell over laughing at the sight of Phoenix wearing a pink sweater with a heart in the middle with the words “Feenie” on it.

“What are you-HAHAHAHAHAHAH!” Maya joined in the laughter as well.

“What are you two- hey give me that!” said Phoenix as he quickly took the picture and stuffed it into his pocket.As he disposed of the embarrassing photo he put on a small smile, “This is going to be one interesting experience …..But I still can’t shake the feeling that something big is about to happen. "

That's the end of the first chapter.The next one will take place 7 years latter, the time when GS4 starts, also Honto's first case will take place. So until then..See ya!
