Hello, this is my first story based on Phoenix Wright. It takes place in the flashbacks of Phoenix Wright 3 and i hope it gives you an idea of how my cases will be should i make any. I pray you will enjoy this and post reviews at any time.

Summary: This is a case Mia takes on a year after her second one. There will be spoilers for the first case of PW3, so you have been warned. enjoy.

7th September. Defendant Lobby 3.
9.34.pm.
Mia: Another case...i hope i can handle this one as best as the others.

???: Good morning, Mia!

Mia: Oh, Phoenix. Come to be my aide in court?

Phoenix: Well, being the defendant doesn't help you study much to be a defense attorney. I need to be in the actual seat itself.

Mia: But...you're not sitting in the seat!

Phoenix:...Oh. Well, at least i'll be right next to an expert.

Mia: I have lost before, you know.

???: Umm...excuse me?

Mia: Oh, Nastasia.

Nastasia: You...you don't seem...shaken by this? My case seems...pretty hopeless.

Mia: I've seen trickier.

Nastasia: !

Mia: And i vow to get you off, no matter what.

Nastasia:.....I see. Then i leave my fate to you, Miss Fey.

Phoenix: So whose the prosecutor?

Mia: Well...the police kept it a secret from me. So i guess we'll find out.

Phoenix: Time to head in. Good luck, Mia!

Mia: Thanks, Phoenix.

Character Discrptions:
Nastasia wears a white secretary outfit, her hair is black and she wears white shoes.

Seeing as how this was Mia's first case a year ago, Phoenix is kinda half way between what he's like as a student and as a defense attorney, so he still needs to grow up a litte. ^_^

Chapter 1: A Grim Opening.
10.00AM. District Courtroom 3.
*Crowd murmurs*
*Judge's gravel pounds*
Judge: Court is now in session for the trial of Nastasia Jades. Are the prosecution and defense ready?

Mia:...

Judge: ?

???: The Prosecution...is ready.

Mia: (I don't beleive this...) *Slams hands on desk* L-Lana?!

Lana: Mia...it's been a while. As you can see, i fullfilled my hopes of being a prosecutor.

Mia:...

Phoenix: ? Mia, do you kn-

Lana: I have to say, i'm very disappointed. Remember the promise we made? We would never let our friendship get in the way if we appeared in court against each other.

Mia: *Points finger* The Defense is ready, your honour.

Judge: Very well. The prosecution shall begin with it's opening statement.

Lana: Very well. On the 7th of September, Nastasia Jades is thought to be the murderer of one Ashley Ursula. I, shall prove that this is no rumor. It is pure fact.

Phoenix: Hey, Mia? So, what does the autopsy report say?

Judge: I was about to ask that myself. Miss Fey?

Mia: The victim was shot at point blank range to the heart...so death was instant. She died on the 7th of September an-

Lana: I already stated that. She died at 7.00pm.

Judge: Excellant explanation, Miss Skye.

Mia: (Are you deaf or something...? But don't lose your cool, Mia. She's just trying to make you look bad.)

Judge: So, does the prosecutor have a witness to explain more of the case, Miss Skye?

Lana: Yes. I call Detective Barnes to the stand.

Mia: (OK, let's see how this goes...)

*A man wearing a black coat, blue trousers, blonde flat hair and brown shoes appear*

Lana: Witness, your occupation and name.

Barnes: My name is Detective Harry Barnes. I'm in charge of homocides down at the penict, Miss.

Lana: Very well, please explain the case in more detail.

Barnes: Of course. The victim was a hairdresser at Caula De Coupa. However, the crime did not occur there. The defendant owned a factory which made guns. The gun used to commit the crime came straight out of the defendant's office. Only she had the keys.

Lana: That is substantial proof.

Phoenix: A bit of a blow there...

Mia: It's too flimsy, Phoenix. Lana needs more then one piece of evidence...she must have something up her sleve.

Barnes: The gun...did not have the defendant's fingerprints.

Lana: Hmph. That does not matter.

Mia: (She sure took that calmly...)

Lana: What more can you say?

Barnes: The gun was fired twice and is a MM-6. One of a kind, Miss.

Lana: I ask that this gun is put as evidence.

Judge: U-used? Oh...as evidence. Very well.

*Gun added to Court Record*

Lana: Witness, testify to the defendant's motive.

Barnes: Of course, Miss.

-Testimony: The Defendant's motive-
1. The hairdressers that the victim worked at did terrible haircuts and rediculous overrate prices.

2. They should have shutdown ages ago...but something happened.

3. We discovered the victim asked the defendant to pay for bills and rents.

4. The defendant paid, but she never got it back, so she must have felt angry.

5. So the defendant lured to the victim to the warehouse and killed her there.

Judge: Hmm...that certainly seems like a stable testimony.

Phoenix: This isn't good...? Mia...

Mia: *Smiles* You've forgotten something, Phoenix.

Phoenix: ?

Mia: You'll see...as i unravel this testimony.
