“What is it Trucy? Is it another magic trick?” Apollo looked up from his endless pile of paperwork given to him by Phoenix this morning.
“No! It’s the newly released horror movie! Its called Hell! Doesn’t it sound scary?” Trucy excitedly squealed.
“Go watch your movie Trucy and don’t bug me while I’m having , if not I’ll show you the real meaning of Hell.” Apollo brushed her away nonchalantly.
“Sheesh, someone’s awful grumpy today. Shall I let Mr. Hat cheer you up?” she mischeviously answered, with a wide grin on her face.
“Trucy… Leave me a-l-o-n-e!” Apollo angrily roared with his Chords of Steel at full power.
“Suit yourself then.” Trucy calmly went into her room to change.
~ 9.45 p.m. ~
Apollo stifled a yawn as he laid his pen down on his desk. He finally got through that mountain of paperwork, his eyes barely open due to the toll of the paperwork and his hair, usually in two prominent spikes at the front and neatly combed back after hours of standing in front of the mirror using hair gel to shape the spikes, was now a complete mess. During some points of his work, he heard Trucy scream due to her watching the horror movie she had rented earlier. As he turned to get his coat, he saw Trucy grabbing his arm, as if not wanting him to leave.
“Polly, you mind doing me a favor?” Trucy meekly mumbled.
Apollo stifled yet another yawn. “Sure, why not?”
“( It better be worth my time, I need all the sleep I can get)”
“Could you?...Look under my bed?”
“What!? There’s no such things as ghosts or monsters!”
“ Please..Apollo?” Trucy meekly whispered.
“*Sigh* Fine, I’ll come along.”
Trucy’s room was unique in its own way, it was cluttered half with her props from multi-coloured handkerchiefs to scattered playing cards to metal rings, yet it was also covered with Gavinners posters, boxes laced with ribbons and also a Klavier bobble-head on the bedside table next to her alarm clock.
"(Talk about that fop being a big-head.)" Apollo thought as he glanced at the bobblehead.
"I think something moved down there..." Trucy cowered behind Apollo.
Apollo lifted the covers and glanced beneath, no surprises, just more cards, scattered stationery and notebook pages.
"You gotta learn to clean up under there, its a real mess." As he headed out for the door, he felt Trucy pulling him back again.
"Trucy, could you let go of my belt?"
"Apollo...could I have a hug before I go to bed?" Trucy asked silently. Apollo didn't know if he was too sleepy or not, but he found himself in a locked embrace with Trucy.
"(I've never felt something like this before... its so... warm...)"
"Anyway, see you in the morning!" Apollo waved as he grabbed his coat.
"(I get the feeling that they should know...soon.)" Phoenix thought. He knew the secret that neither of them knew that could change their lives, and he felt a sort of fatherly warmth towards Trucy, and his long-lost brother, Apollo too.
As Apollo cycled back to his apartment that night, he could not feel the chill of the autumn wind that night. Instead, a passionate warmth that Trucy had somehow lighted in him...
