It's not like it's hard. You just go to the story, click the review link at the bottom of the page, and leave a review.
As an author, it feels really horrible when people don't do that. It's a way to give your opinion on the story and let the writer know how much you like it and so on.

I can understand that it hurts. I've tried writing a couple fanfictions myself and I only managed to see one all the way through to the end so far. Sometimes I get reviews every time I post a continuation of the story, and sometimes I post several before anyone posts any replies/reviews at all.
