Hello Court Records.
I'm not a very active member here, but ever since Apollo Justice came out, I've been aiming to get out some fanfiction. This is my first case and I've been meaning to stick it on for a while, but I've been distracted by so much and...well, 8 months later, here we are. I finally have a part out.
My fanfiction isn't exactly stellar, but I like to try and make it as game-esque as possible.
First some settings
I. This is set two years after the events of 4-4. So the year is 2028. I'm using that timeline.
II. Apollo is still the main character, but Nick will be a prominent part of it still.
III. Ema is still a detective, but there's a new detective in town, who'll appear in case 2
IV. The Legal system has changed slightly, decisive evidence is no longer needed to prove innocence when all facts of the Police investigation are disproven and Means, Motive and Opportunity are proven on another person.
V. This is only for Homicide. In all other cases, The Jurist system is used. It was proven a success in 4-4, but in the two year space, corruption caused an innocent man to be incarcerated and so it has been discontinued in homicide, but it can be called upon if a stalemate is reached.
VI. Also Evidence Law will be adhered too in all cases, but relevance can be proven when it is presented.

Maybe I'm not worthy of saying anything, but... your fic is pretty amazing. It seems to fit the Phoenix Wright world style very well. It really gives the vibes the game would, and the reader was able to be solving the case alongside Apollo (which is part of the fun of reading PW), for the most part. The descriptions aren't as long as to tire the person, and not as short for one not to know what is going on (at least for the most part: occasionally, I couldn't exactly picture the scene, though this could be due to my somewhat limited English vocabulary).

I thought it was great. I look forward to reading the next parts.

It's really interesting, and I like the idea of the director filming the murder.... Although I don't get why Neu couldn't just say, "The director is Kirrel" at that point =\

The only wrong is that you splice your commas all. the. time.
A lot of your sentences should really be split into 2 (or more, for some) sentences.

Well, he was nervous about his boss being there, and I think he's the sort of guy who dobbing his boss in would be difficult.
And your right, Croik commented my comma usage is wayyyyyy too high.

It's not that you're using too many commas, it's that you're using them incorrectly. Google "comma splice" and read some of the things. That should help you.

Wow, that felt like an actual case.

This was pretty cool. I wish more fanfics had the Game style. How about some Phoenix cases in the future parts?

I'm not spoiling anything, but I have a fairly decent idea on all 6 cases. I just need to write them up with more ideas and flesh them out.
I'm currently writing part two, I suspect it will be slightly more court-room orienated, but it is the comfrontation, so that's to be expected.

I messed it up, it was meant to be Odorodou. It's pretty easy to figure out, but I won't say its meaning until after case 2.

I'm just posting to say that the front page has been edited. Because Court Records posting in the forums has become difficult to edit and to format, I've had to relocate to fanfiction.net. As such, links will be posted in this topic to the story. And as such, there is a new part, so go watch.
I've also renamed the story from Turnabout Film, as this is a whole story and not just a case, although I've only written a case so far.

Odorodou is a portmanteu of Odoroki and Naruhodou, as both Apollo and Phoenix are part of this story.
