It was a warmer than usual October day in 1958. The school bell had just rang and students were mingling in the hall as they put their books away. Phoenix had just closed his locker when Larry came up to him.
“Ready for the big game Nick?” Larry said.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” Phoenix was the top receiver on the Badgers football team, so the game weighed heavily on his mind. Not only because it was Homecoming, it would be his last Homecoming game as he would be graduating next year.

“So who are you going to the dance with?” Larry asked.
“Oh. Uh, I don’t know. I might not…”
Larry interrupted. “Come on Nick. Are you going to leave school next year without knowing what it was like to go to one with a girl?”
Phoenix: “Well there’s still prom next year.”
Larry: Not the same Nick. Now come on you know that new girl Iris has been making eyes at you ever since she got here at the beginning of this year.”
Phoenix: “She hasn’t said much to me so…..”
“Hi Feenie”. A voice interrupted.
Phoenix turned around to see Iris standing there in her usual bluish purple and white poodle skirt outfit.
“Oh… Uh… Hi.” He stuttered. “Just call me Nick.”
“What are you guys talking about?”
Larry replied: “Oh the game and the dance.”
Iris: Oh. Who are you going with?”
Larry:” Cindi’s going out with me. Nick hasn’t decided though.”
Phoenix: “Larry!”
Iris blushed a bit. “Oh. I see.”
“Hey Larry, get over here”. It was Miles who was talking to a couple other members of the football team and Klavier, who’s band would be playing at the dance.
“Man I can’t believe he got April to go with him to it.” Larry said in a bit of a disgusted voice. “See you tonight Nick!” And he left.

Phoenix turned back to Iris.
“Feenie. I’ve been wanting to ask you something.” She said in a bit of a nervous voice.
Phoenix: “Like what?”
“Well…”Iris hesitated for a few seconds No one’s asked me yet so, would you go to the dance with me?” Now her cheeks were beet red by then. Nick’s were turning red also.
“Oh… Uh…” Phoenix thought long and hard about what Larry said. And how the thoughts of turning her down would weigh on his mind during the game. Iris wasn’t one of the real popular girls in the school, compared to her sister Dahlia. Even her younger sis’ Pearl was more popular in the grade school. Perhaps going out with him would improve her status as he was popular himself.
“Are you ok Nick?” Iris asked.
“Yeah. I’ll go to the dance with you.” He replied.
Iris’s face lit up.
”Thank you feenie! Can you pick me up?”
“I’ll be going to the field with the team so I can’t.”
“Ok that’s no problem. This will be a first for me too so don’t worry.”
Phoenix; “Really?”
“Yeah. See you tonight!” And she left.

“Niiiiiiiick I knew you had it in you!” Phoenix turned around again to see his close friend Maya along with Edgey and Larry.
“Ha! I knew you’d give in. She’s meant for you.” Larry remarked.
”Just don’t let it weigh on your mind too much during the game. We’ve got to be on our toes since we’re going against the wolves”. Edgeworth said.
“I won’t.” Phoenix said. Though in the back of his mind he was worried about that.
“Don’t worry Nick me and the other girls will do a couple cheers for you.” Maya piped in.
Now Phoenix was feeling queasy. “O-Ok thanks. I’ve gotta go guys. Need to eat something.”
“Ok, see you tonight Nick!” Larry said.

So Phoenix exited the school, got into his light blue 57’ Chevy Bel Air, and headed home to eat something before the game. Thoughts about the game and Iris running through his mind.

Phoenix showed up at the football field’s locker rooms a little after 5PM. After everybody had geared up coach Gumshoe went over the plans. Phoenix did his best to listen, but thoughts of Iris continued to cloud his mind a little.
Soon it was show time. On the way out the team’s star quarterback Diego asked Phoenix if he was ready.
“Yeah. I am.” Phoenix replied.
“Forget about the dance for now. You’ve got the game to deal with first.” Diego said.
Phoenix was surprised Diego picked up on that.

With the blast of a cannon, the team ran onto the field. Phoenix saw one of his opponents of the Wolves team and gulped. It was a guy who was known as “The Tiger”, and was feared by nearly every team in the league. Phoenix then looked towards the stands and immediately saw Iris with her younger sister Pearl. She was now wearing her hot pink and white poodle outfit so it was impossible to miss her. Phoenix wondered if she did that on purpose. Iris saw him and waved.
“Clear your mind Wright it’s crunch time.” He was jolted back to reality by Edgeworth’s words. And the game began..

The first quarter got off to a bad start for the Badgers with the Wolves getting a touchdown and a field goal. During it Phoenix came face to face with the Tiger.
“So youse one of the top guys eh? I’m gonna hit youse so hard it’ll feel like you were smooching the Super Chief!”
Phoenix started feeling weak kneed, but Edgey and Diego kept him focused, as well as Maya and the cheerleaders.
In the 2nd quarter the Badgers held down the Wolves and came back with 2 touchdowns. And Phoenix was finding it easier to concentrate on the game.
Soon it was half time. First up was the crowning of the Homecoming king and queen. None other than Diego and another close friend of Phoenix’s, Mia. That was followed by a performance by the cheerleaders.
While the team was taking it’s break in the locker room. Gumshoe briefly talked to Phoenix.
“Nice job so far pal. Keep it up and we’ve got a good chance to win this.”
“Just keep the Tiger away from me.” Phoenix replied.
“Just ignore him he won’t be a problem.”
Phoenix still had kind of a pale look on his face.
Gumshoe piped: “Got a girl on your mind eh?”
Phoenix looked embarrassed. “Oh. Uh, yeah.”
“Well don’t worry about her. She’ll be there after the game.” Gumshoe had never been good with words on that subject. After he left Diego came over for a minute.
“Just remember there’s a girl who loves you in the stands watching. And the last thing she wants to see is you mess up by losing your concentration. That’s all I have to do with Mia to keep my concentration.”
“Ok. Thanks.” Phoenix replied.

In the stands Iris and Pearl talked to their other sister Dahlia, who had just got back from the cheerleader’s performance, while waiting for the game to restart.
“You guys really did your homework on that one. Nice job” Iris said.
“Thanks. Just between us though. I almost goofed it at that one part.” Dahlia whispered.
Iris giggled. “Don’t worry I didn’t hear that.”
“I can’t wait to join the team.” Pearl said with her hands on her face.
“As much as you jump it will be easy for you.” Iris said, and they laughed.
“I’m glad somebody wanted to go to the dance with you. The fact that it’s Feenie is going to help your popularity too.” Dahlia said.
“As long as nothing happens to him in the game. That Tiger guy scares me.” Iris replied.

Now it was time for the 3rd quarter. Thanks to good defense, both sides only got 1 touchdown each in the 3rd. Then the Tiger claimed his first victim. None other than Larry who quite literally got run over by him.
“AAAAAAAAAAH MY ARM IT’S BROKEN I’M GONNA DIE! ” Larry screamed.
“You’re not going to die it’s not even broke.” Said the team’s fullback Makoto. Who was studying to be a doctor.
“I don’t wanna’ miss the dance though!” He cried.
“You won’t. I think it’s just a pulled muscle. They’ll wrap it up and you’ll be fine”. And Makoto and Phoenix helped him up.
The cheerleaders couldn’t help but talk about Larry.
“Poor Larry. He’s good but he gets more rotten luck than anybody else.” Lana said to Maya
“Yeah. He keeps bouncing back though.” She replied.
“Foolishly foolish squares like that shouldn’t even try out for sports like this.” Franziska piped in.

It was time for the final quarter. The wolves drew first with a touchdown, but failed to get the extra point. Then made another touchdown with the extra point. The Badgers countered with Diego making a 53 yard touchdown and Makoto running in a field goal. Gumshoe huddled with the team.
“OK men it’s time for our new play”
“It’s a risk this late in the game.” Edgeworth replied. “If there’s even 1 little slip up…”
“I know but we don’t have a choice. We need to extend our lead.”
So they lined up, and put the play into motion. It started out as planned, but somehow a member of the Wolves caught on and gave the Badgers a slip up. Which ended with Furio intercepting the ball and getting a touchdown. And an extra point.
“Yeah now that’s how it’s done!” Furio yelled. Gumshoe was ready to explode.
“DAMMIT I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT!”
“Now what? There’s only 2 minutes left.” Asked Wocky.
“Back to our old favorite. It’s all up to you Wright.”
Phoenix felt pale. “OK, let’s do it.” The play hinged on one thing. Phoenix catching the ball.
“If you have to imagine it’s something you want to grab and hold on to forever.” Diego chimed.
The clock started, and the play went into action. It worked perfectly this time and Phoenix began running towards the Badgers end zone. As he was running he saw 2 things heading for him. The ball, and the “Super Chief”. He blocked out Tigre and focused on the ball. Suddenly Diego’s words entered his mind. And instead of the ball he saw Iris running towards him. He reached out for her, and held her in his arms.
Then was brought back to reality by Tigre, who plowed into him at full speed. When the 2 finally came to rest. Phoenix was in the end zone. The ball still clutched tightly in his arms.
The grandstands erupted in cheers. Phoenix had done it.
“Dammit Wright you did it again!” Gumshoe yelled in joy.
“YEAH he did it!” Maya shouted. Pearl was jumping so much she almost fell.
“I knew you could do it Feenie!” Iris yelled.
After the extra point there was still 1:20 left on the clock. But the Badgers held down the Wolves and won the game 38-36.
The team carried Phoenix off the field. No sooner than they put him down Iris ran up and hugged him. Followed by Maya, and unfortunately Larry.
“ You did it Feenie!” Iris said.
Diego chimed in. “Yeah. And I think I know why.”
“Nick great job! I wish I could’ve been a part of it.” Larry said with his usual emo look on his face.
“You did it again Wright. It’s a shame we’re gonna lose you next year.” Gumshoe said in a bit of a sad voice.
“Well the season is only half over, so you still have me for awhile.” Phoenix replied.
After changing out of their uniforms, the team headed off to the dance. Iris went with Phoenix as planned.

The dance had been made so much better by the win. Everybody was congratulating Phoenix, who was starting to feel he was getting too much credit.
“What did it feel like getting hit by the Tiger?” Asked Spark Brushel, the editor of the school paper (and a member of the “nerd club”).
“Like something I don’t want to feel again spark plug.” (his nickname since he worked at a gas station also)Phoenix replied.
“I’m just glad you’re ok”. Iris said.
“Yeah I’m fine. How about you Larry?”
“I’m fine. It still hurts a little though.” Larry replied.
Soon it was time for the final dance. Klavier’s band picked Earth Angel for it. As they danced Iris softly talked to Phoenix.
“What are we going to do after this?” She asked him.
“I guess head to the burger joint. That’s where everybody else will be.”
“Sounds fine.” Soon it was clear they were lost in each other’s eyes. And slowly their lips met.
No sooner than they left the dance it started to rain.
“Well so much for the burger joint. Now what?” Asked Iris.
“I’m not sure.” Phoenix pulled into a secluded parking space where a lot of the kids hung out.
“So how was the night?” Phoenix asked.
“The best one I’ve ever had.” She replied.
Phoenix: “Me too.”
They continued to look at each other.
“Feenie?”
“Yes?”
Iris hesitated. “Could we.. be…”
Phoenix cut her off. “I know what you’re thinking. And the answer is yes.”
In an instant the 2 were kissing again. And soon they found themselves in the back seat.

*Insert scene here*

When they woke up it was morning.
“Oh man. We’re in trouble”. Iris said.
“Oh well it was worth it.” Phoenix replied.
And they drove off for home.

Part 1

Iris’s hands again made a mistake on the marriage license form from shaking so much.
“Dammit” She said.
“So what? It happened to me too” Phoenix replied.
Finally she filled out the last line and signed her name. The last line she filled out was what her last name would be from now on. She was no longer Iris Hawthorne. She was now Iris Wright.

It had scarcely been 2 months since Iris was released from jail (and 2 years since Phoenix was disbarred), and allready Phoenix and Iris wanted to make it “forever”, much to the delight of Trucy.

Neither had much money, even though Iris had found a part time job. But thanks to Phoenix’s parents, and Bikini they came up with enough for a modest wedding. It would be held at Hazakura Temple, which cut out that part of the cost, on the same day Iris met Phoenix (for real, not when he met Dahlia).

After they got home they started going over the final details, with Maya and Trucy helping also.
“So do we still do it American style?” Iris asked Phoenix.
Phoenix: “Yeah. You’re the one who liked the idea the most.”
Maya: “So who will your best man be?”
Phoenix: “Well Edgeworth refused so I guess it’s Larry.”
Maya smirked. “He’ll probably pull a “I can’t find the ring” stunt”.
Phoenix: “Knowing him it wouldn’t be an accident”.
“Hey now that’s not very nice.” Trucy piped in.
Phoenix: ” Now, flower girl and bridesmaids”.
“Remember I’m the flower girl” Trucy said cheerfully.
Phoenix: “I didn’t forget”.
“ The first 2 bridesmaids of course are you and Pearl” Iris said to Maya.
Phoenix: “Have you found your dresses yet?”
Maya: “Yep. Me and Pearly found a place on Ebay that sells them cheaper than any store has them. Franziska got the same type also so we’re matched”.
“Von Karma!?” Phoenix said in a shocked voice.
Maya: “Duh. What other Franziska do we know?”
Iris: “She’s the 3rd bridesmaid”.
Phoenix: “How did you get her?”
Iris: “She said she’s always wanted to be one, so I thought why not?”
Phoenix looked a little pale. “As long as she leaves her whip at home.”
Maya: “No way Nick. Her whip and Pearly’s slap will be the insurance in case you try backing out.”
“Oh man.” Phoenix thought. “Well I guess that wraps it up.”
Iris “Yep that’s it.”

2 days later it was time for Iris and Phoenix’s “parties”. As Phoenix was talking to Iris, Trucy, Pearl, and Maya there was a knock on the door. Phoenix answered it.
“OK pal you’re coming with us!”
“Uh-oh” Phoenix said with a slight smile.
It was Gumshoe with Larry, Edgeworth, and Godot, who also recently got out of jail.
“Let’s go Trite” Godot smirked.
“Now behave yourself Mr. Nick, or I’ll come looking for you.” Pearl said with her usual glare.
Phoenix: “Why so much pressure?”
Iris: “See you later Feenie.”

After they left Maya said with an evil smile: “If he comes home stoned and passes out on the couch I’m gonna get him.”
Pearl: “How Mystic Maya?”
Maya: “You’ll see if it happens”.
Trucy: “so aren’t we gonna have one now?”
Iris: “Yeah. Have you called the others Maya?”
Maya: “Yep the’re on their way.”

part 2]
A couple hours later they were joined by Franny, Ema, Lana, and Bikini . After they had fun for a couple hours Maya asked Lana “Is it time?”
“Yes it is” she replied.
Maya: “Ok Pearly it’s time to channel Mia.”
Pearl: “Ok”
Ema said to Trucy “ Let’s go Trucy they’ve got something planned.”
“OK”. So the 2 of them went to trucy’s room to play video games and listen to the Gavineers latest album.

Soon Mia was in place of Pearl.
“Hello Iris, Lana. Long time no see” Mia said.
“I still can’t believe that spirit channeling stuff does work.” Lana said a little shocked.
Franny: “We’ve all learned it does by now”.
Iris: “Ok you guys. I think I know what’s going on. Who did it?”
Maya: “What? There’s nothing…”
Lana: “It was me.”
Iris: “now I get it. Who is it?”
Bikini chimed in “Oh I know what it’s going to be . I hope my heart can take it. WAHAHAHA!”
There was a knock on the door. And Lana opens it.
“Hello fillies.” It was Jake.
Mia: “J-J-Jake!?”
Franny: “Ha. So this is the line of work you picked after being Detective. You better be good.”
Jake “You’ll see.”
Iris “ Oh man.”

Meanwhile at Phoenix’s party. Will had joined the group.
Larry: “Come on Nick. You’ve gotta be having fun.”
Phoenix said somewhat weakly “Don’t worry I am.”
Gumshoe: “Well it’s time for the main event.”
Phoenix: “What?”
Suddenly a “girl” appears.
Phoenix: “Wait a minnute your…”
“Oh. Hello again Spikey. Haven’t seen you for awhile”. It appeared that April had found a job perfectly suited for her”.
In the back of his mind Phoenix thought “Please Pearl, don’t make good on your threat.”

Phoenix finaly made it home a little after midnight. He opened the door to find Iris, Pearl, Maya, and Trucy talking to Lana and Ema, who were getting ready to leave.
“Hello Phoenix” Lana said with a slight smle.
Phoenix replied: “I haven’t seen you two for ages!”
Ema: “Hi Nick. I can’t believe you’re getting married so soon”.
Phoenix: “Yeah well, it’s happening.”
Lana: “Time to go Ema”
Ema: “See you guys.”
Iris: “It’s bedtime for us also. It’s been a long night”.
Maya: “Yeah.”
Pearl: “Don’t forget you have to sleep on the couch tonight Mr. Nick”.
Phoenix: “Why?”
Pearl: “You can’t see Iris before the wedding.”
Phoenix: “But I allready…”
Pearl “and to be sure I’ll be sleeping with my sister the next 2 nights.” she said making her usual fist.
Phoenix: ”But…”
Maya: “Forget it Nick you’re outgunned”.
By now Iris was doing everything she could to keep from bursting out laughing.
Phoenix: “Ok.”

So all of them went to bed that night. Not knowing what was coming the next day.

Part 3]
The next morning Phoenix woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs that Iris was cooking.
“Good morning Mr. Nick!” Pearl said cheerfully.
Phoenix: “What time is it?”
Maya cracked ”it’s breakfast time so get your ass up!”
So while they were eating Trucy asked Phoenix: “Anything interesting happen at your party last night?”
April immeadiately came to his mind, but he quickly remembered something else before Pearl caught on.
“Oh uh, no. Other than Larry getting hammered”.
Maya almost spit her juice when she heard that. “He what!?” She said laughing.
“Yeah. He almost threw up on Edgeworth”.
That was all it took. Maya slumped over the table laughing her head off. And Even Iris was laughing.
Iris “Oh dear”.
Maya: “Too bad you don’t have a camera in your cellphone”.
“I know.” Phoenix grinned.
Trucy: “Well it sounds like you had fun”.
Phoenix: “How about you guys?”
Iris blushed a little. “Yeah, thanks to Lana”.
Maya: “We’ll tell you later Nick.”

They had just barely finished breakfast when the phone rang. Phoenix answered it.
“Hello? Hold on. It’s for you Rissy.”
“I wonder who it is?” She took the phone. Not long afterwards her cheery look suddenly turned gloomy.
“Mr. Nick. I think something’s wrong.” Pearl said biting her thumbnail.
Phoenix: “Like what?”
Iris hung up the phone. Then turned to them and said “Phoenix, Maya, come with me.” They went into the other room.
Maya: “what’s wrong Iris?”
Iris: “It’s my mom. She passed away in prison last night.”
Phoenix: “Morgan?”
Maya: “Oh no. Pearly will be devastated.”
Iris: “It gets worse. The funeral’s allready been scheduled, for tomorrow.”
“WHAT!?” Phoenix and Maya both said alarmed.
Phoenix: “So what are we going to do?”
Iris: “I-I don’t know. I know she tried to get me framed. But I can’t just say to hell with her and turn my back on this. Neither can Pearl.”
Phoenix looked gloomy now also. “I understand. When is it?”
Iris: 1PM.
Phoenix: “Ouch.”
Maya: “So what do we do?”
Phoenix: “First off break it to Pearls. Then we need to try and reschedule the wedding for later in the day.”
Maya: “I can’t believe they gave such short notice.”
The 3 then went back into the kitchen to break it to Pearl. Who as expected took it pretty hard at first.

Next they got the invite list and started making calls to alert everybody about the situation.
Trucy: “What if the funeral doesn’t get over by nightfall?”
:Iris: That’s right. Some of our guests have to leave the morning after the wedding. And of course there’s the matter of keeping it on the first day we met. So we can’t postpone it!” Iris started to get glassy eyed.
“We can’t let mom’s funeral ruin the wedding.” Pearl said to everybody’s surprise.
“Are you ok Pearls?” Phoenix asked.
Pearl: “You’ll figure something out Mr. Nick. You’ve done it for Mystic Maya several times.”
Now Phoenix started getting glassy eyed. “You’re right. I.. I mean we will.”

So they spent the rest of the day and night preparing for tomorrow.

Part 4]
Phoenix and the others woke up at 9AM and set their plan into motion. Maya and pearl put on their usual acolyte outfits, while Iris put on a long, slender black dress. Franziska would pick them up in her limo on the way to the wedding and drop them off at the funeral. They would have their dresses with them so if time ran short they could just throw them on over what they were allready wearing in the limo on the way to the wedding.

At about 11AM Fran’s limo showed up.
“Franziska’s here” Pearl said.
Iris: “OK let’s go”.
Phoenix: You’ll make it to the wedding. I’m sure of it”. Phoenix and Trucy would stay behind and change into their outfits since they had no reason to go. Larry would be picking them up arround 12:30.

On the way to the funeral Franziska talked to them about it.
“I can’t believe those foolish fools would pick such a foolishly foolish time for the funeral. Are you sure someone didn’t do it on purpose?”
Iris: ”I don’t think so. No one could’ve known when she was gonna die”.Iris explained how Morgan’s death was from a heart attack that happened while she was asleep.
Maya: “It was just rotten luck.”
Iris: “So what are you gonna do?”
Fran: “ We’ll drop you off there, then head to the wedding. Here’s my driver’s cell number. An hour before you’re ready to leave call him and he’ll pick you up.”
Then Fran added: “If something happens to him call this number”.
Iris: OK, sounds good.”
Maya: “my cellphone battery’s charged so we’re good there.”

Soon they arrived at the funeral. Which was being held at the chapel in Kurain Village. The 3 were greeted by one of the village elders.
“Aah Iris, Pearl, Maya. Good to see you.”
Iris: “It’s been awhile.”
Elder: “I’m sorry this is interfering with your wedding. We’ll try and get it done as soon as possible.”
Iris: “Thanks.”
And with that they all went to the chapel. Stopping at Maya’s house to drop off the dresses.

Meanwhile back at Phoenix’s apartment. Nick had just finished changing into his black tux when Trucy came out needing a little help.
Trucy: “ Can you zip up my dress? I can’t reach it”.
Phoenix’s face immediately turned red. “Oh uh. Ok.”
A short time later there was a knock on the door. It was Larry.
“ Time to get hitched Nick! Will Iris and them make it to the wedding?”
“Yeah they will.” Phoenix replied confidently.
And so the 3 of them headed to the temple. It was 12:30PM.

At the temple Phoenix saw a LOT of familiar faces. Nearly everyone he had been involved in a case with. Some they invited. Others wanted to come to it. Among them were Godot, Edgey, Will, Gumshoe, Lana, Ema, Max, Regina, Moe (which scared the shit out of Phoenix), Maggey, Bikini, Ron, Dessie, and Lotta (who would be taking the pictures).
“Wow daddy. It looks like everybody made it.” Trucy said cheerfully.
“Yep.” Phoenix said still nervously eyeing Moe. Though he remained confident on the outside. In the back of his mind he still wondered if Iris would make it. It was now 1:45PM.

Part 5]
At the funeral the reading of Morgan’s eulogy had begun. Iris and Pearl were a little down, but it was obvious Maya was fighting back her anger.
Pearl: “Something wrong mystic Maya?”
Maya: “Oh. No nothing”.
Pearl: “Don’t forget I’ve got my magatama on.”
Maya grumbled a little.
Iris: “Just take it easy Maya.”

That part of the funeral ended at around 2:30. Next Morgan was carried to the cemetery, which was a fairly long distance from the chapel.
At the grave site, Iris was constantly checking her watch.
Maya: “Don’t check it so much, it’ll only make it go slower.”
Iris: “I know, I can’t help it.”

Back at the wedding Phoenix had struck up a conversation with Will and Godot.
Godot: “It just sounds fishy to me.”
Phoenix: “I know, but there’s no way she could’ve done it. I don’t think there was any conspiracy either.”
Will: So where will the honeymoon be?”
Phoenix: “It’s pretty much going to be a hometown one.”
Will: “Oh that’s too bad.”
Phoenix: “No it’s fine.”

Suddenly Lotta popped in.
“Y’all reckon she’ll be here soon? The later it gets the worse the lighting will be for the photos.”
Phoenix looked at his watch. It was almost 3PM.
“I hope so.” He replied.
“What happened to the confidence you had earlier?” Edgeworth chimed in.
“Oh. Yeah.”Phoenix couldn’t say anything about it.

Meanwhile Morgan had finaly been laid to rest.
Iris: “Ok Maya call the driver.”
Maya: ”Right away.” Maya got out her cellphone.
“SHIT! I just remembered my cell doesn’t get reception here”. Maya looked a little embarrassed. “I’ve gotta go to my house.”
“Hurry mystic Maya!” Pearl shouted.

Shortly after Maya ran off, a guy approached and asked “Iris?”.
Iris: “Yeah that’s me.”
“I’m the attorney that will be settling Morgan’s estate. I need to go over a couple things with you briefly.”
Iris: “Oooh. How long will this take?”
“Not long this isn’t the official meeting.”
A few minutes later Maya returned.
“He’s on the way. He should be here in 30 minutes”.
Iris: “Great.”
Maya: “Who’s this?”
Iris: “Mom’s estate lawyer. He won’t take long.”
Maya “He better not.”
Iris: “Why don’t you and Pearl go back and change while we’re waiting?”
Maya: “Crap I didn’t even think of that.”
Pearl: “Let’s go!”

Part 6]
Back at the wedding.
Franziska: “Phoenix. My limo just left.”
Phoenix breathed a sigh of releif. “Great.” He replied. He looked at his watch. 3:35.
Gumshoe: “Don’t worry pal. I pulled a couple strings and got them a police escort.”
Franziska: “Well. Nice move detective.”

Iris was still talking to the attorney when the limo showed up.
Maya: “Our ride’s here.”
Iris: “Are we done?”
Attorney: “ Yes. Thanks for taking the time to go over this. See you in 2 weeks.”
The 3 of them got into the limo. Maya had allready put Iris’s dress in it.
Iris: “Let’s go!”
Pearl: “Look there’s a police car leading us!”
“That had to be Gumshoe’s doing.” Maya said with a shocked look.
Unbeknownst to them Edgeworth had a hand in it also.
With the help of Maya and Pearl Iris started putting on her dress over the one she was wearing as they planned. Which still wasn’t easy in a limo. 17 minutes later Iris was ready.
Iris: “Is your cellphone working yet?”
Maya checked. “Yes it is.”
Iris: “Call Feenie and tell them we’re on the way”.
Maya: “Rodger.”

Phoenix’s phone rang.
Edgeworth: ”Who is it?”
Phoenix: “MAYA! He answered it. “Maya?”
Maya: “Yep. We’re on the way, we’re probably 20 minutes out.”
Phoenix: “Great. See you in a bit.”
Iris chimed in “I love you Feenie.”
“I love you too.” Phoenix said slightly blushing. He checked his watch. 4:07.
“Come on you guys.” He thought.

For the next 20 minntes everyone was constantly looking down the drive for the limo. Finaly at about 4:30 the limo turned onto the drive to the temple gate. They had made it. Allthough the sun was only a little more than an hour from setting.
Maya was the first to get out.
“Hello Cleveland!” She shouted.
Pearl: Who’s Cleveland?”
Maya: Oh nobody Pearly.”
“Get moving you guys!” Iris said as she got out of the limo in front of some of the guests.
Franziska: ”Well that cut it close but you made it before nightfall.”
Max: “Fabulous timing. You 3 look fabulous too.”
Iris: “Oh, thanks.”
Maya: Come on let’s get inside!”

Part 7]After some last minute preps, the stage was finally set. Soon it was time for Phoenix to enter the chapel.
“this is it Nick.” Larry said.
“Yeah”. Phoenix was clearly looking nervous.
Edgeworth: “Are we nervous?”
Phoenix: “W-well…” Phoenix was interrupted by the bride’s music. Soon Iris appeared. Phoenix could only stare at her as she walked up the aisle. Soon it was time for the ring and vows. Amazingly Larry produced the ring on que.
After that the preacher asked the “If anyone here objects to…” question. And immeadiately..

Everybody in the chapel stood up, pointed, and yelled it. Causing Phoenix and Iris’s faces to turn beet red. This was followed by laughter.
“Ok who’s idea was that?” Phoenix said smiling. “I’ve got my magatama so…”
“It was me.” Edgey said with a smirk. “Objection withdrawn reverend.”
Preacher: “Ok. Well then I now pronounce you husband and wife.” And a long kiss sealed the deal.

As they were leaving the chapel Maya saw Pearly crying.
“I figured you’d react like that. I don’t know why I haven’t yet”.
Pearl: ”It’s not just that. Th-…that could’ve been you mystic Maya!”
“Maya” Oh come on Pearly. You know I couldn’t with becoming the master….”
Maya was interrupted by Larry, who by now was in full emo mode.
Lary: “WAAAAAAH IRIS WHY DIDN’T YOU PICK MEEEEE!!!?”

Once everyone was outside, it was time for the bouquet. Iris turned arround and threw it behind her. Maya and franziska lunged for it, hitting it for a loop instead. It bounced off ron’s hair, and hit Edgeworth in the face, coming to a rest on his crossed arms.
Edgey: Wh-Wh-Whaaat!?
Gumshoe: Ho ho ho! Looks like you’re next Edgeworth!
Edgey: “OBJECTION!”
Iris: “ Throw it back Miles and I’ll try it again.”
So Edgey gave it back and Iris tried again. This time Maggey caught it.
Maggey: “YESSS! I caught it gummy!” she said with her twinkle eyes.
Gumshoe: “Erp…”
Edgeworth cracked a smile. “I guess it’s funny when it happens to someone else.”

By the time the party started, night had fallen. The sky was clear except for some high, wispy clouds. A nearly full moon bathed the temple and the snowy peaks of Eagle mountain in a soft blue glow.
At one point the DJ announced a dong Phoenix was dedicating to Iris. The unplugged version of “every time i look at you ” by Kiss. After that Iris dedicated one to Phoenix. Shania Twain’s “Forever and for always” . And later Maya secretly had the DJ play one she found. An old 80’s country song called “Angel in Disguise”. The DJ said it was an anonymous request from Phoenix to Iris.
The party finally broke a little after midnight. Phoenix and Iris got in the limo and headed off to a bed and breakfast for the night. On the way Iris warned nick about something.
Iris: “Just a heads up you’ll have to go through 2 dresses when we get there.”
Phoenix: “you had to do it like that eh?”
Iris: “Well I did anyway.”
Phoenix: “well that won’t be a problem.”

And so off they went. Into forever. Morgan’s funeral made it bittersweet, but now it didn’t matter.
