Name: Haley Ferron
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Height: 147 cm
Occupation: Defense Attorney
Description: Me. I'm a new Defense Attorney. I may not be the best, but I strive to succeed in order to impress my boss. I'm a bit subtle about my looks, the only reason I wear my nice jacket is because it was a gift.

Name: Camille Sherin
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Height: 148 cm
Occupation: French Maid
Description: My best friend. We've known each other for a real long time. She became a french maid in order to appease two things: One is to wear the outfit, the other is to be provocative. Which she is. Very provocative.

Name: Tom Stevens
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Height: 174 cm
Occupation: Defense Attorney
Description: My mentor. He has an adorable son from a past relationship who I have to take care of almost constantly. Gives off the feeling of cockiness in court, and has the feeling that I won't be able to succeed in court. Most of the time he'll be out of his house and leave me to work at his house. He's a nice man though, and is a bit attractive...

Name: ??
Age: ??
Gender: ??
Height: ??
Occupation: Prosecutor
Description: The Prosecutor I'll be facing off against in court today. I know absolutely nothing about this person. So I'm quite nervous to face this person in court.

And I don't own anything that is Phoenix Wright or Ace Attorney.

March 7th, 9 A.M.
District Court
Defendant Lobby No. 3

'I can't believe it... its my first trial today... at least I'm not going at it alone...' rookie Defense Attorney, Haley Ferron thought as she waited in the Defendant Lobby.

"So Haley, are you ready for your first case?" Haley's mentor, Tom Stevens, asked her.

"H-Huh? Oh! Oh yes sir! I'm ready!" she said, seeming a bit jumpy.

'My mentor, Tom Stevens. He's a good man, and a bit perfect when it comes to defending. I'm not sure I'll be able to surpass him, but maybe some day I will,' she thought.

"You know... I'd prefer you to not come to this case. But you'll have to go to a case eventually... might as well make this one the case..." Tom said, seeming hesitant about letting Haley defend.

"Y-yes sir! I'll do my best!" she said, seeming overly wanting to impress her mentor.

"Lets just hope your best is decent. I don't want to have to drag you along this entire case," Tom said, pushing the hair over his right eye aside.

"Of course sir! Just watch! I'll make you proud!" Haley said excitedly.

"Lets hope..." Tom said, "I'll be waiting in the courtroom, preparing a bit so you'll do a bit better," he added before leaving for the courtroom and a woman in a french maid's outfit with a big smile on her face came over to Haley.

"Haley!! Good luck in your first trial today!!" the woman shouted excitedly as she approached Haley.

"Oh! Camille! Thanks! You came to watch the trial?" Haley asked as Camille nodded.

'My best friend Camille Sherin. We've been best friend's since eighth grade. We've had rather different tastes in careers. She's wanted to be a maid, a french one to be more specific. Mostly to be the provocative girl she is. And I've wanted to be a Defense Attorney, yet even though we've had conflicting tastes, we've shined through it all, and hopefully we can continue to.' Haley thought.

"Yeah! I'm not gonna miss my best friend's first trial," Camille said with a smile.

"Thanks, but was it really necessary to wear your uniform?" Haley asked.

"Well duh! I have to be professional in a court of law!" Camille told her.

"You aren't flirting with any guys in the stands..." Haley told her.

"Oh yeah?" Camille asked as she crossed her arms.

"Yeah. I have to look professional. And I can't do that when my best friend is up in the stands giggling and asking guys if she can work for them," Haley said, a glare on her face.

"Fine! I'll be a good girl and stay quiet," Camille said.

"Good. At least I'll have one person on my side," Haley said.

"So is Mr. Stevens against you?" Camille asked.

"No, I mean... its silly to think about it," Haley said as she shook her head.

"Ok," Camille said, smiling and deciding to change the subject, "So what are you gonna do after the trial?" she asked.

"I think I have to take care of Mr. Stevens son tonight," Haley said.

"Why can't he take care of his own son once in a while?" Camille asked.

"He has a lot of work to do at the D.A. office," Haley told her.

"Oh, so when is your next trial? The one after this?" Camille asked.

"I'm not sure, Mr. Stevens isn't intent on giving me another trial," Haley said.

"Oh, well I'm sure that if you do good today, he'll give you every other trial!" Camille said.

"Hey, you're the attorney for the defendant, right?" the bailiff that stood by the courtroom door asked Haley.

"Yeah, why?" she asked.

"We have five minutes until the trial starts, you should head in there," the bailiff told her.

"Oh, thank you!" Haley said before turning back to Camille.

"Good luck Haley. You better win," Camille told her with a smile.

"Don't worry, I'll try," Haley said as the two nodded to each other as Haley went inside the main doors to the court and to the defendant bench while Camille headed to the stands.

March 7th, 10 A.M.
District Court
Courtroom No. 3

"The trial for Miss Rebecca Brens is now in session," the Judge said, "Are the defense and prosecution ready?" he added.

"The prosecution is ready, your Honor," a lady who was at the Prosecutor's bench said.

"The defense is ready, your Honor," Tom said as Haley turned her head to face him.

"Mr. Stevens, who is the prosecutor for the trial?" Haley asked.

"A woman named Alessia Trenia. From what I know, she's quite a good prosecutor, she might be a challenge," Tom said, a hint of mocking in his voice.

"I see... but how did the victim die, Mr. Stevens?" Haley asked.

"Ahh... that would be for the Prosecutor to present. If she would so kindly do that?" Tom asked as he gave a rather cocky grin and Alessia gave a look of disgust.

"Ah, yes. The autopsy report for Mr. Brens, here it is," Alessia said as she took the manilla folder.

"I see... the court will accept this evidence," the Judge said.

"Lets see... his autopsy report..." Haley said as she took the report and looked at it.

Robert Brens's Autopsy Report: Died between 6 and 7:15 P.M. from a gunshot wound to the leg. Death was caused from blood loss.

"And here is the photo that was taken by the police as soon as they found the body," Alessia said as she took out the black and white photo, revealing a hole in his right leg.

"The court will accept this into evidence as well," the Judge said.

"So he died to a wound in the right leg that caused blood loss..." Haley said to herself.

"Yes. We all know that," Tom said.

"So are we going to call out the first witness?" Haley asked.

"Yes, the first witness is the detective that led the investigation. One Mister Sheridan Stone!" Alessia said.

"Ok, bring the wtiness in," the Judge said as the detective went to the stand.

"Name and occupation please," Alessia told the detective.

"Well, as you all know, I'm Sheridan Stone, detective," Sheridan said.

"So you examined the crime scene?" Haley asked.

"Yes Miss I did, and there were quite a few things there that I did discover as well," Sheridan told her/

"Well then, shall the Testimony start?" the Judge asked.

"Sure thing, your Honor," Sheridan said.

Testimony
--What I saw--

"Well you see, when I got there, I noticed that the murder weapon, the gun, was on the floor next to the body."

"The gun had two sets of fingerprints on it. The first set was of the defendant and it was on the slide, that's the top part of the gun. The second set hasn't been identified yet, and it was on the handle and trigger."

"The wound was on his left leg, looked pretty bad too, for only one shot that is."

"Other than that, not much else."

'Hmm... some of that testimony sounds a bit odd... but I'll just have to make sure I can back it up...' Haley thought.

"So Judge, may I start with the cross-examination?" Tom asked the Judge.

"Certainly Mr. Stevens, I don't see-" the Judge started, but was interrupted.

"OBJECTION!" Alessia shouted.

"And what happens to be wrong?" Tom asked Alessia as he crossed his arms.

"The girl next to you. She is an attorney, right?" Alessia asked.

"Well... uh... yeah, but..." Tom said, starting ot lose his cool before the cross-examination even started.

"Well she hasn't had much action in the court so far, why not let her head the cross-examination?" Alessia asked, a smug grin on her face.

"Fine... Haley, you're up on this cross-examination. Don't. Mess. Up," Tom said as he let Haley take the main part of the Defense Attorney's bench, where all the evidence was, as she readied herself for her first cross-examination.

'This is it Haley... your first cross-examination. Camille is up in the stand watching and Mr. Stevens is right next to me... can't mess this up,' Haley thought, ready to find all the contradictions she could to prove her client innocent.

The first chapter of my story is done. The next chapter will feature the cross-examination, and possibly the last witnesses for the trial, which means the last of the trial, and part of the after trial. Thank you all for reading!

If you go to the sprites section, you'll see a thread called 'My meh sprites...' that's by me. That's what they look like, though certain ones have certain ones they are featured after, like it should say in the thread. And thanks for the compliment! Hope you read future chapters! :keiko:

Thanks, the end of the trial will probably be posted today, then there will be part of the after trial, with a surprise or two. Then the chapter after that will be some out of trial stuff involving Haley just living her life (sorta, you'll end up seeing) and then we'll start back up with more cases. And in some of the upcoming cases, there will be a few surprise defendants, and a surprise person who is guilty, that will all be revealed in time. Also, if anyone wants to suggest pairings, feel free to do so with the characters we have now, as long as they're somewhat reasonable, I'm fine on most anything. Though I already have some of the pairings planned out, it'd be cool to see what people want.
