Hello all,

I wanted to say this. I am not advertising for my fanfic. It is already linked to in other places. I am trying this once again. I think this is the correct forum for it, and there are no spoilers in here. Please be civil, keep spoilers out of this thread (If mentioning Apollo Justice characters) and one of the pairings I mention is Yuri (Two females being romantic.) Pardon the stuff that's been said before, and hopefully this thread can be successful without it being locked.


I have created two original pairings. Since I'm not spoiling my fanfic (If you want to read it, it's been linked to several times and I'm not linking again for fear a moderator might get annoyed or something but if you can't find how to get to them PM me, and I'll have a response to you sometime tomorrow or later depending on when you PM me as I'm going to bed soon) the two main pairings are a fan character of mine called "Leah Willard" who is based partially off of myself with either Maya Fey or Miles Edgeworth. She has Asperger's Syndrome and Attention Deficit Disorder.

The supporting reasons for her being in a relationship with Maya Fey are: She doesn't always get along socially with everyone, and is spacey sometimes and while being sarcastic and witty finds herself losing the ability to keep from saying what she thinks, and even though she's mature she has enough patience to put up with Maya even though she's confused as to how she wound up dating her since she was already raising three kids.

The supporting reasons for her being in a relationship with Miles Edgeworth are: She has the intelligence and maturity to keep Miles interested in engaging in a battle of wits with her, if she's not in the mood for intelligent and reasonable conversation. There's also other reasons for them to be together which are included in the fanfic.

The only time I've seen the fanfic discussed was in a flame war which disappeared in one night on the official PW message boards. I saw people proudly advocating for Leah X Franziska Von Karma, Leah X Mia Fey before death, and even Leah X Phoenix Wright. Honestly, I was a bit weirded out after reading those discussions before they disappeared. Keep in mind none of these posts are still online because it was an out and out fight that broke out in a thread that got eradicated from the internet.

So, when you're done reading the fanfic, or if you've read it thoughts? Leah X Maya? Leah X Miles? Leah X Other AA character? Anyways, your thoughts, praise, critiques and pairings are welcome! And please only suggest what you'd support for Leah Willard the fan character (Hopefully you've read the fanfic too) because I'm not interested in someone telling me "Leah shouldn't be with Maya, so and so should." You can discuss that with someone else because she's the only one besides Godot (Not sure, but maybe?) that I could see putting up with her. I don't think highly of any AA pairing really, but I tend to like my original ones since I tried to make them interesting and compatible.

There's also a contest going on so be sure and read the rules if you happen to win by chance, and have some idea for the contest which fits the rules.

Also debate for any other original characters in a pairing can be done here. I'd like to ask that you please follow the same rules as in the other pairing debate thread.

I vote none, and I'll tell you why. Pairing an original character with a canon character romantically sometimes automatically makes the OC a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. That is why for my fic, there aren't very many canon characters. I'm not saying yours will be that way, I'm just saying what I know from being in the 'fic world' so to speak.

From my end, I really can't see pairing any characters with anyone... Except Maggey/Gumshoe. :3 But yeah, my two cents.

Debates over original characters and their romantic ties to canon characters are not appropriate for this forum. For anywhere on Court Records.

If you think your original character would make a good match with a canon character, you can write fic about them or draw art. But asking others to debate about it is ridiculous: how can anyone hope to debate something that exists only in your head and has no canon basis? In the normal Pairing Debate Thread we discuss possibilities on a level playing field of knowledge, where everyone has had exposure to the same canon. That's mostly impossible with originals because you will always know more about your characters than we do; it's not a level field of debate.

OCs are fine in fics and art and everything else. Please confine your OCs to those kinds of creative endeavors.

Not to mention that asking people to debate your fic is pretty egotistical to begin with. If you really believe your fanon pairings are valid, the fic should be enough to convince people.

Please don't attempt to create this thread for a third time.
