Tiny drabble is tiny.



It had been a very long day for Klavier. He'd spent all morning in court trying what had to be the most boring murder ever and then wasted the entire afternoon dong last-minute negotiations with the venue. Apparently even the Coliseum wasn't above trying to make last-minute changes. It was early evening by the time anyone had any time to rehearse--Daryan had been in the office all day and... well, Machi and Lamiroir had spent the day to themselves doing who-knows-what.
It was most frustrating.
Finally, though, the rock star-cum-prosecutor managed to gather everyone on a stage, instruments tuned and musicians ready.
They even managed to start to play.
A few minutes into the piece, though, there was a faint snap, inaudible to all but one set of ears, followed by the much more atonal clanging of badly hit piano keys. Machi jumped back on his bench, eyebrows up in mute surprise, and the rehearsal ground to a halt. Klavier frowned. Lamiroir hesitated, confused, looking about as though for an explanation.
"..." Machi sat with his hands out in front of him, face completely unreadable. Hanging off one of those hands was a very small, toothy green (toy) alligator, its mechanical jaws clinging fiercely to his fingers.
Then there was a raucous burst of laughter from Daryan, and everything made much more sense.
